I got Windex in my player

OK so last night I was cleaning my creative zen vision m with Windex, and i must have used to much. Now at first, all I saw was some liquid in the screen, but the player still worked fine. An hour later I tried to turn my player on and a little icon came up that was like a picture of an mp3 player and a exclamation point. In the user guide , that icon mean for you to update the firmware, so I plugged my player into the computer and downloaded the update, but it said my player wasn't connected to the computer. So I thought i would let it dry out a little over night, and now it wont turn on at all . PLEASE tell me there's something i can do !! I just bought it in July. And of course I didn't get an extended warranty.

get this !! It's OK!! I put it on charge, and the charge icon came on, and after awhile of charging the player is fine!! I tested it and all the controls work fine! than godd, i didnt want to put out another 300 bucks :smileyvery-happy: only thing is, thers a bit of moisture in the lower lefthand corner of the screen, but thats it! BUT for now on I will Never EVER use windex again !!

Got a Riptunes MP3 player and put USB cord from MP3 player to MacBook Pro to transfer songs and my computer immediately shut down and won't power back up and won't charge now....what do I do!?

Take it in for a service diagnostic so you can determine if it's worth fixing or if you should buy a new one.

  • Got a SONY mp3 player for Christmas: How do I sync with iTunes?

OK, here's the deal. I have a MacBook Pro and use iTunes regularly, but now I have a SONY mp3 player from Santa. How do I get my songs from iTunes onto my SONY? Someone help. Thanks!

I have tried this with a SanDisk mp3 player, so I am not sure if it would work with a Sony - don't see why not..
Open your iTunes, build a playlist of songs you want to put in the Walkman.
Connect the Walkman and when the icon mounts on the desktop, open the Finder window to it - if it has a .mp3 folder inside, ('cos the sony devices have multiple folders in some instances), open that. Drag and drop the playlist of songs - (the list not the sidebar icon for it) into the .mp3 folder, and it should copy the files right in. iTunes itself will not likely 'see' the Walkman, but the Finder does, and will treat it like a new storage volume - which it is. You just build the iTunes playlists to tell the Finder what to copy.

  • I think I got my Windows Media Player to 'talk' to my iTunes... now what

I know that there HAS to be a way to transfer the over 3,000 songs that I have on my WMP to my iTunes and then to my iPod, but I have yet to figure it out! The WMP synched up all it's songs so I know that it's possible but I don't want to lose my favorite songs in the transfer.

It depends what format your songs are in.
If they are in a protected WMA format, then you're going to have a rough time importing them into iTunes.
If you tracks are standard MP3 files, then it should be rather simple.
We'll need to know what format your tracks are in before anyone here can help you.

  • [SOLVED] ID3 tags not registering on MP3 Player

I just got a new MP3 player, and some of the ID3 tags that I've set on my music don't register. I have some other songs that were set on a Windows computer; these show up perfectly find. Every tag editor I've ever used has this problem.
What is a way to convert the ID3 tags into a format that my mp3 player (a coby MP826-8G) will be able to understand?
EDIT: Duh, I was using id3v2 instead of id3v1. Apparently most hardware music players don't read id3v2 yet.

indeed, the tracks do have both v1.x and v2.x tags. Obviously, iTunes only accepts v1.1 tags. v2.x tags or mp3, who have both tags attached, will not be displayed in iTunes.
I have deleted the v2.x from the problem mp3-files using the "mp3tag" - tool. After re-importing the files into iTunes,
    everything was fine.
    Thanks,

I got the latest flash player and I'm using Mozilla Firefox. But the problem is not in the browser cause I use Firefox since I have internet connection and I didn't had any of these problems about 3 months ago

  • I want to sync my ipod with windows media player

I just bought a iPod Touch and realized that I can't sync w/windows media player to get my music off of it...how can I sync the two?

You can add music you got from Windows Media Player to iTunes all you have to do is go to menu -> add file -> and locate the music.

  • XM Radio Help With Windows Media Player

Does anyone know how to get XM Radio to work within Safari? The Windows Media Player plug-in tries to connect but never does. I tried the Flip4Mac plug-in and got the same non-result.
I got the AOL radio player to work but it does not offer all of the XM channels.
Quick Silver   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

Well, I just signed up for a 3 day trial at XM and listened to a couple of songs through Safari. I'm not certain which version of Windows Media Player you have installed. If you don't have version 9 then head over to Microsoft and download it. If you do have try re-installing it and see if that helps.

  • Searching Archive for Older Mac 10.4 (non Intel) Computer Lost Flash Player

    Hello Forum Users!
I'm sorry to bother you, but checked recent posts and knowledge base and cannot seem to find my problem listed.
Problem starts and ends with older Mac operating system (10.4.11, Yes, I am still using Tiger and my G4 is said not to be acceptable to Leopard so its time for new computer..but until then)....
I have only a 60 GB HD, and it was getting "full" so suggestion I received and someone helped me do it, was to eliminate all old "downloads" I was saving.
Fine....except that while I was cleaning up the older programs I "don't use"  to get more room on the Hard Drive (I had less than 10 GB free and Apples don't like that on their Journal Drives), I accidentally "erased" (then threw out as trash to get room) the  Adobe Flash Player.  Not a problem!  But now of course I remember that is "why" keep normally all "downloads" as files in case I do that....so no older download to use as my own archive.
Ok, not a problem!  Go to Adobe and download a new Flash Player (Of course I can't use 10.3 and all the others you keep referring to, as I don't have an "Intel" chip operating computer, so 10.4 is supported by newer Flash Players but only those using an Intel chip which my computer doesn't have.  (Lap top else I'd try all types of modificactions to work around the problem).
Sorry too many details, but rather let you know now than questions back and forth.
The final irony is that I know of Adobe's Archives and went "back in time" downloading and testing out various Flash Players (sorry, didn't pay attention so I did not ever have marked down which version of older Adobe worked with my 10.4.11).
So I tried all the 10.2's   10.0's  9's (even the developer ones)  I hit the 8's and realized that maybe I'm not doing something right as I do think if you are using 10.3 now, that 8 versions should have been usable according to the June 2010 system requirement lists.
For downloading I select Mac  "other"  as  my operating system since the current specificaitons for downloading list 10.4 to 10.6 as  "Intel" based.
    Did I leave anything out?
I really need Adobe Flash Player as most of the web sites are just refusing to display anything but words for me, so just boring now on web without access to all the content that Flash Player provides.  (no more funny You tube videos either of course!).
Can anyone help me with my Adobe problem?
    Thanks!

To both of my helpers.....Success! (Skip to end if you don't want to read the details).
Sorry for the delay in responding to all of your suggestions!
eidnolb:  Here is what I found on the page with red "f" this time. But using Safari, the whole top of the page says "Flash" meaning that the red "F" is part of a Flash item that is not loading in Safari, but does load in my other Browser, Sea Monkey.
Using Safari I right clicked (was on wrong page sorry) and got the "ClicktoFlash---Settings" settings
I do not have regular "settings" anymore on my list just:   Load Flash/Load all on this page/add www.Adobe.com to whitelist/ClicktoFlash Settings.
And in the Click to Flash Settings there is no box to uncheck for hardware acceleration. Only things like Options/sIFR Text Updates Uninstall (of course) version 1.5.5 if that matters).
I set up my account in Adobe using Sea Monkey which I do when Safari is fully being used for other purposes that day, so that explains why I got confused sometimes, the Flash Content in Sea Monkey "works" but the same page loaded in Safari does not work.  I do have Firefox, but that has too many saved pages that have not been gone over to "unsave" them when I'm done either printing the contnet or saving the content or bookmarking it, so that is quite unusuable right now so I don't know if any of the flash is working or not on Firefox (and I don't have Chrome loaded in yet....maybe I read it was Leopard only? I forget why it is not
    another choice for me).
Willener pat's  (finally used a mirror!)  suggestion I try the FP uninstaller again, I made sure it was done using Safari (Sea Monkey does not like it)....and despite it appearing for the higher levels of Mac OSX I tried it....
Its getting complicated. I can read the instructions how to do it in Sea Monkey, but Sea Monkey does not like the file (does not know what to do with it and offers my entire "Mac" database of applications i.e. word, etc to use it (very bad).  Safari can use the file but I have to click on it without the accompanying instrtuctions to help me as they are not visible or printable anymore from within Safari without Flash.  So I'm using the printed instrucitons from Sea Monkey to follow and Safari to do the downloading!
    I'll work this out yet!
eidnolb:  I visited http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html after uninstall as you and pat say to do.
    But the message reads:
"The following displays the type of Flash Player version that this browser is running, and its capabilities.  Usually only developers creating content for Flash Player require this information: "
But Guess What?  The box is a "FLASH" item!!  So I can't see what version is in there!  (Catch-22 they call that!).
My company's Flash pages are showing up on both Safari and Sea Monkey, they pause then load even though I've not set them for "permissions" or "whitelist" on the ClicktoFlash"  because the content is created by various people and they have bad web page habits so especially I do not load Flash immediately at my company's web pages, as it can hang or cause scripts to keep working so I have to stop it.  That is why the person I deal with got me "ClicktoFlash" as just because I know how to create a web page, doesn't mean all the other ones I deal with know how!
I'm thinking at this point, should I try installing back in the  version again?  I guess no harm can come from that so I went back to eidnolb's version in original message and tried to load it in again.
    Result is: nothing!
I clicked on your address in Sea Monkey and copied to safari and both don't work.  "Page Not Found" Error.
This is what I clicked on  to get the Flash installer 10.1.102.64  before!  I know it worked then, why not now?  So I'll use the copy I've downloaded before but why is the link not working now?
    eidnolb: June 15, 2011 10:53 am
Flash installer 10.1.102.64 [http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp 10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive.zip] Open the archive to reveal yet more archives and multiple files. Select: flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg
By the way....reading everything that came with the installer program (it appears for developers only as archived version), it says to "restart" system after uninstall.  Maybe that is what I did not do, but I've closed and restarted my computer each time I leave so I know its been "done" in middle of writing your forum replies, I just save it elsewhere and come back to continue writing!
So closing and restarting everything had no effect.  On the Adobe Find Flash Player Version  page, I still can't "see" the box with version of Flash Player I'm currently running, as its a Flash box that does not activate. The other Adobe page with "red" F still does not show the me  "red" F just a huge "Flash" box that I can't open.
So here goes with installing again from the saved version of download (by the by I'm now down to 9.46 GB free since I've opened and downloaded so many files so many times.  Just don't know which to delete as nothing has worked yet!
    Now it works! I think!
I got the "Find Flash Player Version" page and I can "see" the result
I'm using Player Version: MAC 10,1,53,64
    Debug Player:  No
    Opening system Mac OS 10.4.11
    Video Capable Yes
    Audio Capable Yes
    Local File I/O Enabled: Yes
So I guess that is it!
    It works !
I could have just said this part alone, but wanted both of you to see what steps I took to get it working again!  (Might be helpful to anyone else stupid enough to try to create more room by deleting any large files with unidentified names).
Which answer fits the bill for "correct" answer? I"ll click on and award points however you both see fit (10 to best answer 5 to possible answers).
I went to check on the one you (eidnolb) answered about Google Maps (I have a iPad now and always use it for my portable use of Google Maps so didn't notice anything like he mentioned, so I just went in to give a check and Safari and Google Maps are all working fine  with street views  (the orange man---does anyone have a name for him? Have a contest!).  It all works so thanks again.
    Best regards to everyone!

  • Installed latest 11.2 Flash Player and drmtest says I need to update

I installed the latest version of Flash but I still cannot watch video on Amazon Instant.  Contacted Amazon and uninstalled latest version and re-installed old version.  Still didn't work.  I updated Java.  Still didn't work.  I restarted the computer and it still doesn't work.  I re-installed the latest version of Flash and it still doesn't work.  I searched for "native cache" and finder doesnt' find any file by that name.   I went to the Adobe Flash Acess Sample Video Player and it says I need the latest version of Flash. But I HAVE the latest verson of Flash - so it's not Amazon or Mac its Adobe and this website is not very helpful so far.   Does anyone know why this product doesn't work? I've been troubleshooting and looking for help for 3 hours.
I am running on Mac OS X 10.6

Hello.  I have almost the same problem it seems.
I have reinstalled Adobe Flash Player (latest), used the Uninstaller from the website. It installs correctly.
Even tho it doesnt seem right when i check my programs installed.
Because before i had 2 Adobe Flash Player (i use CCleaner for this), I got the Adobe Flash Player Plugin 64-bit
and another at name Adobe Flash Player 11 something. And before i did the same thing as i did now.
But it should probably be only the Plugin one.
Anyways. When i try to watch Youtube videos, it won't use Flash Player at all. And Firefox says
i have Flash Player, and its up to date and everything.  But Youtube wont use it. Some do odd enough.
    Vimeo use it tho.
And now i came across this thread, and i tried that Profile thing you told. And it does work with a new profile.
With the same Youtube video (copy link from old Profile). So i guess it's the profile that's broken.
    Example of videos:
    Doesnt work:       http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3PMCD7aMRI&hd=1
    Works just fine:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ46Ot4_lLo&feature=related&hd=1
But how could i fix this then?  Cause i realy don't want to do a new profile and lose all the settings etc i have at the moment.
Would be realy awesome if you could provide a fix for me
I might have been unclear on some things, not that good at english at some points.
So just ask if you need more info and ill try to provide it for you.

  • Connection of BD Player?

Just got the LG BD390 Player. Tried to connect to my Airport Extreme Network. No go. Couldn't find the connection. BD player finds the network, I type in the password, but can't connect. I suspect I need to add the BD to the Airport, but can't figure out how. I have one Airport Express running my iTunes over the home stereo, so I know other wireless devices can be connected. What about non-Apple devices like the BD player? Any help appreciated.

    Hello srikarbaljekar
What are the settings for your router and do they match the recommend settings in the article below. You should also check the second article for additional troubleshooting, as there is a section for unable to connect as well as Unable to automatically join.

  • Flash player 8 install

i've been using flash 8 video for my websites. i always put
the link on my pages to let people download the latest [F8] player
so they can see the video.
i went to a friend's house and they didnt have the player
while looking at one of my pages. so i clicked on the download
link. it took me to the adobe download page. when i clicked on
install now, i got a prompt saying player 7 now installed - but of
course the link i used took me to the player 8 version.
so why didn't the adobe install over-write the older version
[7] and replace it with the newer version? my friend still can't
see my flash player 8 videos on my page. thanks.

    Hi Mike,
There are some possible reasons for that, one would be that
you friend uses linux, and player 8 (and 9) still arent avialable
on that platform, might be simmilar with very old windows or mac OS
versions, though I'm not sure some research on the Adobe site couls
    clarify that.
The more likely cause is that somehow the verion 7 player got
"stuck" in the system, it happens from time to time, Adobe offers
unistallres for the PlugIn as well as the ActiveX control, that
should help your friend to unistall (probably with a reboot) and
afterwards install the current version (9).

  • Toshiba BluRay Disc Player and SDStereoI.dll - ATTENTION INFECTION

I originally started this post in the wrong forum and will move it to here with the new information I gleaned.
My Toshiba BluRay Play when started would give me the message that "SDStereoI.dll was missing but then would run fine.
SDStereoI.dll has been listed as malware.
I have always the original HD of my Toshiba as my habit is to do a back up after a new computer is up and running correctly and then work from the backup the original is safely stored for "when if".
On the orginal drive there are two versions of the SDStereoI.dll. One is 167 kb and date 7/07/2011 the other is 160 kb and date 21/06/2011 as logic would have things (sometimes) the bigger and newer is the infected one - controlled by Prevx.
I have replaced the infected where found in program files (x86)\Toshiba\Toshiba blu-ray disc player with the uninfected one found in program files (x86)\Superd Software\x-tune
    All runs fine now.
I would guess that the infected file got wiped out by me anti-viruses.
Anyone else with this experience or some ideas about it ?

I cannot say anything about the SDStereoI.dll.
Ive got the Toshiba BD player installed on my system and antivirus software (MacAfee and Avira) dont report any viruses here.
Who knows what happened to this file on your system
In your case I would recommend to scan the system several times once again using different anti malware apps
Some apps scan better as others..

  • ITUNES IS THE WORST PLAYER OUT THERE

Im a long time ipod user but i recently got a new mp3 player that has better functions and features than the apple ipod nano. The packaging said that this player was compatible with itunes. so i just thought i would converter allthe music i bought to mp3 but noooooo! all these protected files wont convert. im come on i bought the song legally through itunes i sould be able to do whatever i want to it. i hope some moderator show this to a higher up. besides i still buy music from itunes, but it should be a more compatible format, such as mp3.

Since we are simply fellow users like you, it will do no good to go on a tirade. This is a user to user forum only in which Apple employees seldom participate.
There are now a number of non-iPod players on the market which support AAC format. Your specific problem is that you have purchased protected AAC format files which are only compatible with an iPod, this is nothing new when it comes to purchasing from the iTunes store. Also, the protection is required by the majority of the major record companies, not Apple. What you can do with your protected purchases is burn them to an audio CD. In the future, since you do not have an iPod & seem to prefer mp3 format files, I would suggest you take a look at amazon.com, emusic.com, & audiolunchbox.com, just to name a few. All 3 of these sites sell DRM-free, mp3 format files.
