I gotta access firefox to get on windows live messanger

i downloaded Google chrome then got rod of it. know when i go to windows live messenger it shows up but cant access emails worked before. know i gotta go to msn.com to access my e-mail how do i fix this so i can click on windows live messenger and access my emails.

Is that the same as MSN Messenger? According to [[How to make Firefox the default browser]], MSN messenger is hard-coded to launch Internet Explorer.
If not, make sure Firefox is set as the default browser.

You can do a test if it works in Private Browsing mode. In PB mode the disk cache isn't used and also the currently saved cookies are not available.
You can enter Private Browsing mode if you select:
* Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
*Check-mark: [X] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
Close the Options window and open the Hotmail log in page.
You can remove the check-mark ([ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode") to leave PB mode.
If that works the it is possible that there is problem with the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies in the Firefox Profile Folder.
You can rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Firefox will be hanging for some reason. The quick solutions to kill the process and try again. The next step is to try to see if it will start and exit normally a couple of times, if so the problem is solved. If not the reason needs further investigation.

Everytime I open firefox I get a window that opens. Doesn't happen with IE or Chrome

Every time I open Firefox I get another window that opens over the homepage. It is almost blank with a few lines at the top of the page and the words user registration. It has been happening ever since Firefox updated on my computer yesterday, even after uninstalling and reinstalling.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

Same error message, I disabled tab mix and made sure I only have the newest version of Java, restarted firefox, now it seems to be fine no error yet on Pogo games or pictures upload to ebay which were the biggest problems besides hanging. I had also had disabled AVG secure search yesterday but that did not solve the issue. Now I will try to add back in AVG search...I have very few adds ons, also the note embedded about re- installing a toolbar went away, my old one did not work with FF4, so I installed Yahoo toolbar but the message still did not go away until I applied this fix. Hopes this helps someone..

Windows live messanger problems

so, for some reason the 'what i'm listing too' feature in windows live messanger.. apparently isnt working anymore. I've had it checked for like ever. and it's only worked like once to be honest. i've done two repairs on msn, and still nothing. i dunno it used to just work automatically.. is their a way to un install and re install the plug in through itunes or am i just better off re installing itunes all together?

Glad I could help... however on XP (or maybe your just luckier than me) even after a restart it wouldn't work no matter what I tried. So I just had it to set to manually eject, so now I just eject the iPod myself and it continues to work regardless...
But anyway, glad I could help you identify the issue, no one else on these forums seem to know anything or just don't want to help us non-mac users.

For some reason every time I start Firefox I get a window to print the current page. Am I the only one this happens to? Is there any way to get rid of it? It just started with the previous update.

When I start Firefox, the standard print window comes up as if I had clicked on print under the file menu. I close the window without problems, and it doesn't show up again until the next time I start Firefox. When I click on print under the file menu, I get the print window without any problems.

Trying to load firefox. all i get is windows live, and it just loops on itself

I wanted to use firefox. but when i download it and activate it it goes to a windows live sign up page, and when i fill it in all it does is loop back on itself with same questions and thinks i am a child. i simply do not know how to get around it. i hate it, i did not want it and i have not use for windows live. i want firefox and use it as a home page

This problem just started when I start up Mozilla fire fox it opens 2 sessions or something the first one has my tabs form the previous session the other one is blank except for the 2nd window only has add on information, but when I try to close the second window it automatically closes the whole thing and I have to start all over again, what can I do

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox Profile Folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

I would be so grateful to know how to fix t his, because it's really getting on my nerves.
I have windows 7 pro 64 bit. I mostly always use firefox. Whenever i opened a new browser, I never got hit with the windows badge and "Do you want this program to make changes to your computer...." or something to that effect. YOu who have windows 7 know what I mean. Of course I click yes, but I NEVER had to do this before. I don't know what changed, what might have happened. I had to have help with some software unrelated to firefox and someone had remote work on my notebook, but he should not have changed browser settings. It is really irritating me to now end to always open the browser now and have to hear that annoying thing and the badge.
My other browsers IE and chrome do not do this.
How can I fix this? It was never the case before for years.
