I guess not all themes work huh?

I have the "real world icon theme" on my phone and when I activate UMA (Wi-Fi) it doesn't display the signal for the UMA connection like it does when it's on EDGE. I asked the developer of this theme about it, he said he was working on a fix for it and to contact him in a few weeks for a free update. I contacted him a few days ago but have gotten no response, dunno if that's a 'blow off' or what lol. But anyways...I was wondering if anyone could point me in a direction where whatever themes I get, they will actually work 'across the board' without any missing information from my display?

Crackberry is good, and the major carriers. There are alot of what you found "in development" themes on the random sites. Stick with the major's and you should get a working theme.

Not all files work in log and transfer

Hoping maybe someone has found a fix to this issue...
When editing an HDV project not all my .m2t files (all in the same folder) want to transfer using Log and Transfer. Most of the files will transfer correctly but sometimes it skips a file and puts a red exclamation mark in the status. Not sure why most files work and a few don't when they are all from the same folder and from the same shoot. The files will open fine in other 3rd party apps so the files are ok.

FCP may be a bit more discriminating on the file structure or header integrity, dunno, never shot HDV myself but we've seen similar posts for years. Try copying the files to your drive first and then ingesting.
Side note, ust because other apps can open the files doesn't mean they are intact or useable. You don't mention what these apps are but if you can export form them, do that and then ingest the new file which might have all of its glitches reparied to suit FCP.

I migrated my iweb site from mobilem to another host and now some of the movie links that I use are not working. Everything else is working like text and photos but the movies I get the quicktime icon in the place for them. What am Idoing

yes, that is in web server mime type configuration.
.mov is a well known file extension and is default to video/quicktime mime type.
mp4 or .m4v extension is rather new, it's mpeg4 layer and not all web hosts config .m4v extension.
you can config it yourself (adding extension to mime type), but if you don't know how you can ask your host to add mime type video/mp4 for .m4v extension.
other file extensions can be used with video/mp4 are: mp4 mp4v mpg4 m4v

Not all commands work in CC

Good grief this this is a dog. I had to go reinstall CS6. Command-S C and R centers and flushes text right. Command-S L does nothing. I'm more than a little frustrated with CC ID right now. This on time of changing doc size doesn't leave art on all pages centered.

This is a known issue where the system is using the shortcuts. Turn them off in the system prefs.
Granted the pain on this release seems a bit more severe than prior versions, but I'm honestly not all that surprised. There are always interface changes or other little things that take a bit of finding or getting used to when a new version comes out, but this time essentially the entire application was re-written for 64-bit support, and a lot of how it interacts with the OS has apparently changed.
I think if you make an attempt to stick with it you'll eventually come to terms, sort of like driving a car with an automatic transmission for years and suddenly being thrust into the drivers seat and seeing a clutch pedal.

Not all websites work

We connected a wrt54g router and can connect to some sites on the internet but not all. For example wikipedia works and hotmail doesn't work. I'm not sure what is the cause.

This can happen if your MTU is set to the wrong value.
Try reading the post below by a user who was having the same problem you are having. His problem was fixed by changing MTU.

After current updates, not all peripherals work.

I currently have a 320 GB external hard drive connected via USB, a Mackie Onyx Sattelite Firewire recording interface, and a wireless printer running off of it. After the recent updates, the hard-drive works fine, but the recording interface no longer shows up as an audio input, and the printer no longer prints. Both are visible as connected peripherals in system profiler, but neither are working.
I originally scrapped my hard drive and reinstalled Mac OSX, and the recording interface worked again. However, after updatring the software yet again, both the printer and interface stopped working. Any thoughts?

Anyway, I left out what I believe now is the critical detail: that the profile was moved from a partition that had to be rescued. It initially looked like all the data was saved but I've since discovered that a small percentage of the files on the disk were corrupted.
The corrupted files must have included those for Session Manager and Pocket as I've been able to reinstall them by manually "save link as" downloading the xpis and then renaming or unpacking the files. It still remains to be seen whether or not I can do a normal install with an addon I didn't already have.

My mac mini hard drive crashed. I replaced it but now not all applications work. How do I fix this?

When my mac mini (late 2009) hard drive crashed I installed a new one. During the process I used migration assistant to bring in my time machine backup. When finished I did not have all applications...iPhoto, CC Cleaner, Chrome, and most importantly Reunion all failed to load. I have since manuay fixed Chrome and CC Cleaner but still do not have Renion or the OSX iPhoto and other apple OSX applications working. Can someone help or driect me to the right forum?

Restore failed to provide all the applications and data. Took the mini to Apple genius today. They reinstalled OSX (same as I had done) then confirmed that the applications were not backed up to time machine...they will be in the future. After reloading each individual application they now work as expected and all the data seems to have been restored. Except the Reunion files which were near and dear. These are gone forever. Somehow, perhaps through my negligence, the 'GED' files were not stored in a "Reunion" folder and were not backed up...much like the apps. Now I'm trying to recover the files from the crashed drive.

After moving profile, not all addons work -- can't reinstall

I moved my FF profile from old computer running ubuntu to new one with opensuse. I used directions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Seems that most eveything transferred correctly except two addons: Session Manager & Pocket. Removed them both with intention to reinstall. I am unable to do so and am presented with the same error for both:

P7800 Not all speakers working

My P7800 7.1 speakers work except for the side speakers, 2 of them. The rest work fine. I have gone to the control panel and adjusted for 7.1 speakers and downloaded the latest update for my onboard sound card which is on my EVGA 590 SLI AMD motherboard, I have also checked to see if that motherbaord is compatible with 7.1 or 8 channels and it does in fact say it is compatible with 8 channels, so... I have tried everything. Any help would be great

How about hookup a Mp3 player to them and than you will know .Or unplug from computer and touch the first pin on the plug and see if there is any hum or noise . I ahave be playing with audio for over 35 years and have over 2500 watts Rms computer speaker system i custom designed .

Not all my games imported

I just got an iPod nano to replace my G5 iPod, and I have TONS of games I bought on iTunes, and so I know that not all games work on the iPod Nano, so all the games that are supposed to transfer, transfered except for Tetris. Why wont tetris transfer?

If none of your third-party apps are working, but the Apple built-in ones are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted. In terms of re-downloading apps then you can do so as long as they are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
For synced photos, then with the iPad connected to and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, then on the Photos tab on the right-hand side you can control which photos are synced to the iPad : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236 . Themes iDVD not all working

After reinstalling everything on a drive that had to be wiped to correct a permissions disaster, now only iDVD 7 themes work. The rest of the themes that did work prior to the reinstall (5 and 6) do not now work. All it shows for the 5 and 6 themes are yellow triangles with the question mark.
The version I am is 7.2.1. I have to make some changes on an unfinished project and now I can not do it on the Lion version. I have to move the iPhoto file and the whole DVD project to the drive that has Snow Leopard which does show the themes.
Before I reinstall iDVD from iLife 11 nd not let it update from 7.1, thought I would ask.

Try using Pacifist to install the themes from the 7.0.1 updater.
The only way to obtain all of the themes, i.e. iDVD 1 - 7, is to install iDVD and the themes from an iLife 09 disk.
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides themes from iDVD 5-7. The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:

You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.
Also check in iDVD's Advanced preference pane and see what's listed in the "Look for my themes in these folders" window.
You may have to reset the file path to the themes folder: HD/Library/Application Support/iDVD or User/Home/Library/Application Support/iDVD.

All Adobe (2014) versions will not install. How can I get them working?

The title says it all. I'm a member of the subscription service and all has worked quite well up until this time.
All versions with the "(2014)" in their name fail to install.
