I guess this is a "settings" question. I have tried all of the fixes you suggest to get rid of the "Firefox Was Recently Updated" window popping up as my home page. Anything else to try.

My normal home page no longer comes up when I start browsing. Your introductory page comes up and stays up, along with asking me a question about allowing information gathering.

That probably won't help if you have other software running that is protecting the file(s) in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?<br />
Does it have any virtualization or sandbox features?
You can try to boot windows in Save mode (F8 on boot screen) to see if that makes it possible to remove the file.
You can also try a new profile to see if that works.<br />

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Boot into Recovery. OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support
Select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
At the prompt type,
resetpassword
Hit return.
Follow the prompts in the utility to select hard drive, then user.
Reset the password.
Exit the utility and restart.
You will need to log in with your new password, but your keychain will not be reset.
I’m not sure what access you’ll have to the old keychain since it didn’t have a password. You may be able to get into the keychain and reset the password to match your login password.

You can upgrade to Mavericks free, just run the App Store program and search for Mavericks. But before you do upgrade I recommend the following:
1) make sure you have a recent backup. TimeMachine is fine.
2) Mavericks is somewhat more memory hungry than 10.7 was. You will need 4 GB of RAM and I strongly recommend 8 GB.
Go back to the Apple menu and select About this Mac - look under the OS info you just looked at. You'll see how much RAM your computer has now. Then click on the More Info button. There you will see your computer info listed as in: iMac, 21.5" mid 2010, for example. Return back with that information and we can tell you how far the computer can be upgraded.
If you decide to procede and you have enough RAM upgrading to Mavericks is quite simple. Click on the download button and let it do its job.

At first the messages and crashes were only happening if I tried to play a game (Farmville) on Facebook. Then after a week I started getting the crashes and messages on Facebook. Now I get interrupted and crashes and messages on my Hotmail, Facebook and anything else I try to do. I have done all of the solutions on your site but none of them have stopped this. It did work a bit better when I downgraded the Flash to 10.3. But that only lasted a couple of hours and then I was right back to the way it is now. It makes it very frustrating to try to type an email, answer a friend, check my facebook and god forbid I try to play my game. I have actually gone two days in a row not even being able to get on to the game never mind play it. The message I keep getting is: Shockwave Flash might be busy or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the plug in now or you can see it the plug in will continue. If I don't click the wait button soon enough, then it crashes. If I click the wait button, I might get the same message over and over for almost ten minutes minutes before I can continue. Not only does it freeze the game, but it also freezes the computer. I can't get off, I can't go open another tab, if I have my emails open doesn't matter because everything freezes and I can't continue with anything until it stops. I cannot sign into iCloud on my iMac. I have read all of the help information, but that isn't working. I cannot do anything with my system preferences - like add a new printer - because it won't log me in, sign me out, forget password doesn't work, etc.

Usually you will need to contact iTunes store support but this workaround may help:
-On the device/computer that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
- Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select "done", in the upper right corner
- Sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you should be asked to verify your security code for the credit/debit card and NOT the security questions.
- At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security questions.

I am willing to wager that you did not purchase the phone new or did not purchase it in the country where you are now. Virtually ALL the activation problems occur with phones that were hacked to be used with poster's desired carrier and were not unlocked via authorized means by the original carrier.
Tell us in what country you purchased the phone, from what dealer, where you are now, and what carrier you're trying to use.

this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions. The other way to reset the answers to these questions is for apple to send me an email on my rescue email addres which I DO NOT HAVE.

Flex Builder 4.5 Premium license not working for automation - anything else to try?

So I'm getting the message when I try to record/run a test that the "License not present. With the trial verison only limited replays are allowed." I have a valid license key for Flash Builder 4.5 premium edition. I have read many forums on this subject but none of them help me. I compile my project either using Flash Builder 4.5 or an ant script invoking mxmlc. I have modified my flex-config.xml to include "flashbuilder45", and my given serial number with and without dashes (and other combinations). I do not have a license.properties file. I'm not sure what else I can do. I have already reinstalled Flash Builder 4.5. I am now trying Flash Builder 4.6 with the same results. This serial number is a group one good for 5 boxes. My next step is to request a replacement serial number from Adobe, since I can't think of anything else that could be wrong with my setup.

1. It is a premium which I can see when I view "My Products" on this adobe site. I can enable Network monitor and when I do my application hangs (I've read a bit on how to get this working properly, but I don't need it)
