I hace a comcast e-mail account and when I click a "contact us" link on a web site a pop-up asks me to choose an application but when I choose firefox nothing happens How can I make the links open my Comast e-mail?
"Contact us" links on web sites open a box that says "This link needs to be opened with an application. Send to:" My only e-mail account is through my Comcast.net account but Comcast is not an option. When I choose Firefox, which is an option, a new blank window opens but I have no idea how to generate an outgoing e-mail message. This is very frustrating because I cannot seem to find any help with this issue and i seem to be precluded from e-mailing numerous organizations because of this. I do not want to create a new gmail or other type of e-mail account if I can help it. I already have enough accounts and passwords to try and keep a handle on.

I am a new iWeb user and have built the website www.realmoroccotours.com and am having a few problems that I hope someone can help me with.
First - in Iweb everything works fine but when it is published the links in the top and bottom menu do not work. If I clic on the link before the page is fully loaded it odes work. Secondly, the site loads very slowly - although not all the time. Any suggestions on how to make it faster loading would be appreciated.All it means is that the image is blocking the navigation menu/overlapping - all you need to do is move it out of the way and the menu should work. Do a view all in iWeb and you can then see what is overlapping and what you need to move.
You could also build your own nav menu if you like so that your site will be found more easily - javascript, which the iWeb menu is, is not always found that easily. You don't need to re-build the whole site - just the nav menu.
If you want to speed up your site, then you could try using Web Crusher or iWeb Maestro to speed it up - you need to do this post publishing though, so publish to a local folder and then run it through either of these to get rid of the bloated code that iWeb creates and then upload your site. -

Websites tend to take longer to open up. With IE8, the same site opens up immediately
I'm guessing the type="application/unknown" is interfering. Try type="text/plain".

How can I make the X axis temporally proportional?
I have a very simple line chart with decimal values on the Y axis and dates on the X axis. The dates are one per row in my source spreadsheet but they are not "evenly spaced". How can I make the chart reflect linear time, plotting the date categories irregulary along a smooth timeline?

As for date-format for X-axis it took some fiddling for me (sometimes it was greyed out) but it does work.
Either leave it as Same as Source Data or pick Date and Time and choose one of the many formats available, some shorter than the source data format.
I haven't figured out how to make specific dates show up on the axis, e.g. in my example it would be nicer to show mid-month and/or month-end dates. Numbers seems to split into intervals based on the number of Steps, with little (no?) control over where intervals begin/end. -

I have moved my library to an external hard drive and changed the location of the iTunes media folder in Preferences, but every time I close and re-open iTunes, I have to do it all over again. How can I make the iTunes media folder change permanent? I have an older machine with Windows XP.
I don't believe mounting the hard drive should be necessary, unless you have several external drives and want your computer to recognise them as folders, rather than drives. I've never had to mount a hard drive, ever. If you don't know how to do it, then it shouldn't be necessary now.
Try this:
Prepare iTunes so that it can see the external drive.
Make a note of which drive-letter the external drive has been allocated. (Look in Windows Exploer)
Look at the file location for a song. Make sure it plays (and therefore that iTunes has found it). Highlight it and select File/Get Info/Summary>Where: and make a note of the drive letter for that song.
Close and shut down the computer.
The next time you turn the computer on again, connect the external drive
Before you start iTunes - check the external drive in Windows Explorer. Is it ready, does it have the same drive-letter that it had last time? Can you go into the drive and see the files on it?
Once you can, start iTunes. (If the drive lettter has changed, you need to work out why before going any further.)
If iTunes fails to find your external drive, you need to check where iTunes is looking for your Library.
Select the same song you checked before (presumably iTunes can no longer find it). Follow the procedure for locating it. You should be able to see where iTunes thinks the file is. It's the drive that counts. Which drive letter is iTunes looking at? Is it the same one that it was previously (which should also be the same one that the drive has now).

On the support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions site, after selecting ASK A QUESTION and writing this question, I attempted to upload image files with the question, but I am unable to upload a JPG (97 KB) image file or a PNG (307 KB) image file because the "Add Images Browse" function appears to be broken.
Each time I click the "Add images: Browse" button, select one of the image files, and click "Open" to upload the image file, a spinning gear appears in a square beneath "Uploaded images:", and the spinning gear continues to spin without stopping. The image file does not upload.
While the gear is spinning, the message "Uploading <filename>.jpg" or "Uploading <filename>.png" remains constantly visible beneath the square that contains the spinning gear.
I think the gear would have continued to spin for eternity if I had not reloaded the page after the gear had been spinning for a full 7 minutes.
