I had a bar of apps - very useful. Then they disappeared. How, where?

My apps bar disappeared and i cannot figure out how to get it back. I closed the browser and reopened, but they are gone. How do I restore the app bar.

If you click on the Finder in your doc (the faces) you should get a window on your screen.
On the left side of the screen, under Favorites, is there a picture of a camera with the label Camera.
If so, double click on that.
Inside that folder you should see something called iPhoto Library. Do you see that?
Post back and let me know.

Your apps are stored in your iTunes Library on your computer. If you recover the iPad or purchase a new one just re sync your apps / music etc.

the issue of phone numbers disappearing can be fixed by disabling the Skype add-on:
#Go to Tools > Add-ons .
#Find the Skype add-on in the list.
#Click the Disable or the Uninstall button.
#Restart Firefox.

I have a Macbook Pro (2009) and the tool bar in Safari keeps disappearing. There's a small diagonal arrow on the upper right that I can click and the bar will appear temporarily, but then it disappears from view. "Hide Toolbar" is greyed out in VIEW

My 2009 Macbook Pro's Safari doesn't show the tool bar anymore. I can click on a diagonal arrow in the upper right corner that appears when I put my cursor there and the tool bar will show, but then it disappears again. Also, when I get an email and click on an internet link the Safari doesn't open full page like it used to - it opens as a small little box and I have to click the diagonal arrow in upper right corner for it to open full screen. Had mobile hot spot with 5g and then they moved it into my share paln

What a rip off. We went in to upgrade two phones..$400 and they told me I should change my family plan to a new share everything plan & it would be cheaper. What a scam. Now I get 2 gig data to share with a mobile hot spot & 2 data phones. The old plan had 5 g on the mobile hotspot FOR $50/MO.
THEY DID NOT INFORM ME THAT THe HOT SPOT WOULD HAVE TO SHARE DATA WITH THE REST OF THE PHONES. Now , on day after it's too late to return the upgrade phones & go back to my old plan I GET A WARNING THAT I'M OVER THE DATA ALLOWANCE.. Customer service did nothing but charge me $ 10 more a month until the contract runs out on the hot spot and then I tell them to put it where the, take this & you know.... the thing never worked very well in the first place. I think they should have giving me some free data for the next few month a least. Do you think they explain the so called up grades well????

It sounds like the app is crashing for whatever reason. Start with simple, easy things.
Quit iBooks and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If those things do not help - you may want to consider deleting the iBooks app and reinstall it. Make sue that all of your books and pdf files have been backed up and synced with iTunes before you delete the app.

I haven't seen underlined links in years. Now they are back. Tell where the switch is so all the sites I used to visit with no underlines are back to looking clean!

*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors
Note that web pages can use CSS code to underline links.

My itouch 4gen will show an app installing and then it disappears

They will only be where you put them If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country. You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located.

I had the same problem and tried both of the suggestions listed above. The "Reset" idea did not work. The problem was instead in the "Restrictions." I had to "Allow" "Installing Apps." I don't know how I disallowed that in the first place, but for me, this was the solution. Thanks!
