I'm trying to find a way, using version 2.0.4 of iWeb on a different
pb to recover the file into the iWeb app or a way to download the site into iWeb.
There are 6 pages of images and text, and it
would be a task for me to recreate the whole thing again. I did
download the site but I don't know how or if I can get iWeb to see it and open it.
Does anyone have any knowledge about this? The link to my site:

Unfortunately iWeb cannot read or import previously published files, only generate them. You'll have to recreate your site from scratch.
However, Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site.

I am using MAC OSx 10.5.8 (9L31a) as my operation system. The TV says "No signal. Check connected device's power, cable connection and source selection." Seems to me that that goes in hand with what the Samsung tech said about the Mac needing to be forces to use the external display. But how do I do that?

Hi, I just changed my password for my ipad 4 and my keypad has been messed up for a while. As I was typing in my new passcode it double cliked a number and i dont one which one it clicked twice for as i was typing it in the second time the same thing happened again and was accepted! i locked my ipad and when i can back to it i typed in my passcode and would go in i kept trying and ran out of attempts. It is down to 2 more attempts and then it will be drained. I have alot of informant on the ipad and havent backed it up to any icloud or any other saving things! i really dont want to lose my stuff on the ipad by restoring it and other thing i cant do? I followed the directions on Apple's website on how to move iMovie footage from the internal hard drive to an external hard drive. I moved 3 events over and I don't see those events in the external hard drive. Can anyone help?

Then it's not my advice.
There are two very important things about this.
• NEVER - move or alter any folder named iMovie Events or iMovie Projects on DeskTop/Finder - at all !
All changes must take place inside the iMovie Application - else connections break ! and iMovie can't find them.
Move Events and Projects back and hope that they will be found.
• The external hard disk - MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted - UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange works for most BUT NOT FOR VIDEO - not for iMovie nor FinalCut.

Weird you should ask this,
Seems like a weird link across but I was playing with OmniRemote for Palm, programming my TV remote etc into it, as well as the Apple Remote.
OmniRemote works like one of those programmable remote controls, but on a Palm PDA.
The Palm was able to emulate the Apple Remote perfectly, all functions working. But it didnt work with any other remotes in the house, no matter which InfraRed frequency I selected. This suggests to me that Apple use a slightly unusual InfraRed frequency.
Also, tried to beam items from the Palm to my MacBook with no luck, Palm can't see the MBP. Neither can my Sony Ericsson W900i.
I'm sure someone will do a software hack eventually, but at the moment we seem limited to just using the remote

Close Windows Media Player.
Use Windows to locate the folder(s) in which the song files reside. It might be "My Music."
In iTunes, use the command File > Add Folder to LIbrary. When the dialog comes up, point it to the folder that has the music.

I now get a blank (white) screen in the Viewer. Can still drop video from the viewer into the canvas, but don't see it in the viewer. Please help!

It doesn't seem to matter what project I'm working on... the picture in the viewer is gone. All I see is a blank (white) screen. If I put the cursor over the viewer and drag to the timeline, the clip will appear on the time line (and in the canvas) but I don't see it in the viewer. I usually edit my clips in the viewer and not on the canvas. Can anyone explain why this might be happening and how I might fix. I'm suspecting I must have messed up one of the settings but I'll be darned if I can figure out which one or how to fix. Please help!

David. Thank you very much. The problem was not with the canvas but rather the Viewer. But the solution was the same. Somehow, the Viewer window was re-set to Alpha. I changed it back to RGB.... and the picture is back. These issues are often very simple.... but they can drive you bats if you don't know the answer. Very grateful. Tim

If your hard drive was not backed up then you can download items purchased from the iTunes Store.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Movies currently available in the USA only. Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later. Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid. Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
Did you subscribe to iTunes Match service? If you did, your other music would be available too.
Note, this restores the music files themselves, not playlists, playcount, ratings, or other things associated with the actual library file structure.
You really should consider getting a backup drive. Hard drives failures are a certainty and it saves a lot of grief.

Whoever told you that was misinformed or lying. Those applications are sold separately for the iOS platform and the Mac platform.
Go to the Mac App Store to purchase Pages and Numbers for your Mac. They're $20 each. If you are running an older version of Mac OS X that can't use the Mac App Store, you can purchase install media from Apple.

First, make sure caps lock is not on.
Another reason why your password might not be recognized is that the keyboard layout (input source) has been switched without your realizing it. At the login screen, you can cycle through the available layouts by pressing the key combinationcommand-space or command-option-space. See this support article.
If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, boot into Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. In the window that opens, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens. Close the Terminal window to get it out of the way.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session. 
Use "File > Exit" or "Firefox > Exit" if you want to restore multiple windows. 
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time. 
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.
Another possibility is to use:

You cannot put music onto your iPod without using iTunes, that what iTunes is for.
It's also not a good idea to wipe the music from your computer and having it only on your iPod. We see countless posts here from people who have done just that - and then lost everything when the iPod needs a Restore. Even if you never need to Restore your iPod, what happens when you eventually replace the iPod? You'll be back here asking how to get the music from one iPod to another. That's not easy to do, we see countless posts about that too!
A much better idea is to buy an external drive (a proper external drive, not simply an iPod) and put your large amount of music onto that drive. Then point your iTunes Library to that drive. However, you need to remember two things:
You still need a backup of that Library.
Using an external drive as your iTunes Library means that the drive must be connected and ready to read before starting your iTunes programme. If it isn't, then iTunes will look on the C: drive - and you will find no music in your Library. (Once again, lots of posts about that as well!)
