    Can you post the permissions on your Home folder?
    Open Terminal, copy and paste this command. Copy the output and post here. If you want to mask out your user name, then paste the output into a text editor and use Find/Replace to change it to something like "username" before pasting it in here.

    I am trying to set up email on my 9720.
    The email works properly on my Z10 but I need the 9720 to work too so that I can access it using a local carrier when working abroad.
    All other features seem to be working properly.
    I keep getting the 'Your device had a problem connection to the server' meesage.
    Hi @kp_1! Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
    Do you have an exisiting BIS plan on your 9720?
    Unlike your Z10, legacy devices like the 9720 require BIS (BlackBerryInternet Service) for it to have access to BlackBerry services (BBM, Email, protect etc.)
    If you have a BIS and you can use other services except for the email, then you need to contact your carrier. This issue may be caused if the carrier has not correctly provisioned the BlackBerry smartphone for BlackBerry data services.
    Goodluck!

  • Device had a problem connecting to the server

    Hi,
    I've just got a new blackberry curve. It was on O2 originally but has been unlocked so I can use it with my Virgin account. I have managed to set it up fine except that when I go into email settings to initialise the application is says "your device had a problem connecting to the server".
    I never actually used it with the O2 network although there is an email in my inbox from Blackbery registration saying "your handheld has been registered with the wireless network".
    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Hi ekatedelaney,
    Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    You may need to setup your email from your new provider's website via computer. http://bit.ly/g124JI
    If you are still unable to do this you may need to contact your wireless provider for assistance.

  • EMAIL: Your device had a problem connecting to the server?

    I have not received an email to my blackberry for 2 days and wondered if something went wrong.
    When I run Setup > Email settings.
    Its starts to load up something then comes up with an error of 'Your device had a problem connecting to the server'
    Does this just mean I'm not in a area with a connection? Any help?

    Thank you so much for your help you guys - I thought my new toy was toast and would spend days trying to fix it. What a great forum.

  • As of a few days ago, I can no longer import photos from my Nikon Coolpix s7c into iPhoto. Never before had a problem. (it is the version prior to iPhoto 11--all Apple software is UTD)

    As of a few days ago, I can no longer import photos from my Nikon Coolpix s7c into iPhoto '08. Never before had a problem.  I sent a request to Nikon for help and they referred me back to Apple.  Help, if possible, please.

    As the photos imported to the test library you know that it works with your version of iPhoto (so, you can skip the paranoia about Apple making you upgrade). The issue then is the Library, so
    Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
    To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
    Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
    In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
    Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
    Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
    Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
    When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
    In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

  • Problem in capturing the edited data while the table is sorted

    hi,
    i am using the TableSorter class provided by the sun tutorials to add sorting capability for my JTable. i need to print on the screen, the value of the cell whenever it is updated. so i am using TableModelListener and its tableChanged() method for this purpose. if i edit the data without applying the sorting then its printing fine. But if i edit the data with table sorted in a particular order by clicking on the table header then the tableChanged method is not being called. So some problem lies in the table sorter which is preventing the call to the tableChanged method whenver table it is sorted. Below is my implementation of JTable.
    TableSorter sorter = new TableSorter(new MyTableModel());
    final JTable table = new JTable(sorter);
    table.getModel().addTableModelListener(new
    TableModelListener()
         public void tableChanged(TableModelEvent e)
              int row = e.getFirstRow();
                                               int column = e.getColumn();
              System.out.println("Row: "+row+" Coloumn:  "+column);
    );Hope u understood the problem. plzz help
    thanx

    hi camickr,
    However the row number displayed is always the row of
    the TableModel before the data has been sorted. this is the feature i am trying for and couldnt achieve it. i do want to print the row of tablemodel before data is sorted but i am getting 0 and -1 as row and column numbers.
    I never saw -1 as a column number.
    if you have never seen -1 as column number then just compile and run the code given below. I just added a table model listener to the table model to capture data editing. So if u edit any cell without applying sorting then its row and column number is printed properly but if u sort a particlar column and with sorting on if u edit any cell you will get row No. as 0 and column No. as -1. try running below code and please let me know where the problem exists or post your code which worked without any of the above problems.
    I believe the code was updated in Feb of this year,
    so make sure you have the most recent version.yes i have the latest version of tablesorter.

  • Iphone email problem-has anyone had a problem caused by the VPN app, Hotspot Shield?

    Has anyone had an iPhone email problem associated with the VPN app, Hotspot Shield?

    I just want to make a record for the Apple Community. After installing Hotspot Shield on my iPhone 5, I developed a host of email problems including erratic reception and recurrent failures to send emails. I called Apple Support and, after standard repair measures failed (like deleting email accounts and reinstalling them) was advised to try deleting Hotspot Shield.
    Removal of Hotspot Shield was unexpectedly difficult (simple deletion of the icon that works with other Apps did not suffice). With the help of Apple Support, the Hotspot Shield app was finally eradicated. The result was that all the email problems disappeared.
    Again, I just wish to make this record of iPhone email trouble clearly caused by Hotspot Shield available in case someone else runs into the same problem. I did not contact Hotspot Shield but the point is that I began with an email problem that was mysterious to Apple Support and we finally traced it to a recent installation of Hotspot Shield.

  • Problems in capturing the button event

    Hi
    I have created a BSP page with some buttons on it.
    I am trying to execute some code on click of the button, I am capturing the button in OnInput processing event using the following code
    event_data = cl_htmlb_manager=>get_event( runtime->server->request ).
    however the event_data is not getting populated with the button event and i am getting a null reference dump...
    can you tell me if i need to anything else apart from adding the above code.
    Thanks
    Bharath Mohan B

    Hi Bharrie,
    the online documentation describes this very clearly. You access it by double-clicking on the BSP Extension element in the Tag Browser.
    A brief snippet from the doco....
      DATA: event TYPE REF TO CL_HTMLB_EVENT.
      event = CL_HTMLB_MANAGER=>get_event( runtime->server->request ).
      IF event->name = 'button' AND event->event_type = 'click'.
          DATA: button_event TYPE REF TO CL_HTMLB_EVENT_BUTTON.
          button_event ?= event.
      ENDIF.
    Cheers

  • Has anyone used the Panasonic BT-LH2600WP monitor with Premiere CC and AJA T-TAP?

    I'm considering investing in the Panasonic 26" BT-LH2600WP to use as a color correct monitor with my 27" imac and a aja T-tap (thunderbolt to sdi adapter).  Has anyone done this or know if there are any quality issues?
    thanks
    Phil

    Phil, I have a similar set up, but I have the 17-inch Panasonic SDI monitor. Premier works okay with the T-Tap, with some minor yet annoying bugs.
    If I monitor audio via HDMI from the T-Tap, which I prefer, then my Panasonic monitor and its matching audio are about half a second out of sync with the iMac display. (But the HDMI audio is perfectly synced with the Panasonic SDI video.) This is annoying because both the Panasonic and the iMac are directly in front of me, and it's confusing seeing the out of sync iMac image. Definitely not something to show any clients.
    If I switch my audio monitoring to "Adobe Desktop Audio," which is the feed from the iMac's headphone jack, this problem disappears. In that case, the Panasonic and the iMac display are almost perfectly matched up. However, now I'm getting lower quality audio, with added digital-to-analog processing in the signal.
    Using the T-Tap is smooth and trouble free in Final Cut Pro X, but in Premier it is a bit buggy. That said, it works mostly okay.
    While we're on the subject, can anyone suggest the best Preferences settings in Premier to use the AJA T-Tap? I may be missing something.
    Thanks!

  • Has anyone had a problem agreeing to the terms and conditions on iTunes?

    I have been caught in an endless cycle in trying to purchase a song on both my iPhone 5 and on my computer - it won't let me purchase a song even after I click "agree." It just either I've updated to the latest versions, quit, restarted iTunes, signed in and out again, and nothing works. Probably going to buy my songs on Amazon now.

    I'm in the same boat as you Jeremy. Windows Vista on a desktop. Everything on the PC works fine, no issues AT ALL ... except itunes store. I launch itunes, i click on itunes store, the progress bar fills about half way, after about 20 seconds the progress bar disappears and a totally blank itunes store page remains.
    I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling itunes. I've tried shutting off my antivirus (AVG) and my windows firewall. Still does not connect. This has been going on for about a month, and all the Apple support wants to do is e-mail me solutions without any phone support.
    Some of the solutions want me to alter all kinds of settings that may or may not effect other programs or hardware on my PC. If 99.9% of everything is running fine, and itunes store is the only one not working right, i am not going to completely screw with 5-6 different things in hopes that it doesn't effect anything else on my PC. Unless i have a human on the phone walking me thru things click by click in case something does mess up, they can help me get it corrected.
    My desktop is wired, but i also have a wireless router, and my laptop, ipod, and ps3 all connect to the internet. And my laptop DOES connect to itunes store no problem. And no the answer to my problem is not "well just use the laptop". I want my desktop to connect also.
    If anyone has had this issue and can walk me thru a few things to try, i would be grateful. Thanks.

  • I've used Firefox for years and have never had a problem. Since the last upgrade I can only download items once in awhile. I have to go to Safari to do my downloads.

    I have a Mac OS MacBook Pro. I do not have a problem downloading on Safari. For instance, I can't download statements from my accounts or photos from Kodak Gallery.

    Try:
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Corrupt_localstore.rdf
    You can also try to move (delete) the Firefox plist file.<br />
    See [http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20060606082246983 How .plist files become corrupt and troubleshooting the results]<br />
    Go to "Library > Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

  • I cannot open my itunes. I keep getting a message saying "The file 'i Tunes Library.itl' cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes"? Anybody else had this problem since downloading the latest version and how to sort it?

    Anybody any ideas?

    Never mind sorted it out lol. Somebody did a system restore of a week or so. I had done the update during that time and it was lost. Just redownloaded itunes from the internet and its working fine now.

  • Has anyone had a problem with viewing the same pdf but it looks different on two computers?

    I am plotting a pdf file from a DWG drawing.  The pdf file looks fine on my computer.  However, when I send it to someone else the lines are not visible and it is hard for them to read.  I have tried exporting to pdf and plotting to pdf. The program I am using is AutoCAD 2012 and Adobe Reader X. I am having problems finding a solution to this.

    Hello, you posted in a forum about the help files, I understand the possible confusion with its name. I'm going to move this post to the Acrobat forum.

  • Macpro 17inch just shut down while using.  Tried removing battery and SMC to no avail.  Have had this problem before over the last six months but would always restore.  Now you just click on the power button front light stays on for 2 sec

    Hi, My 17 inch Mac pro laptop just shut down and I can't get it to turn on again.  This has happen multiple times over the last six months.  Looked through the forum and tried removing the battery and resetting the SMC control to no avail. I was having issues also with the screen a month ago but that resolved by itself.  When I took it into the genius bar for screen problems I was told I'd probably need a new CPU board because the vram may be going bad and they just don't fix that
    problem.  Have held off because of a potential $500 repair and awaiting ivy bridge technology.  Does anyone in the community know how I can restart my portable.  Right now you turn on the machine and the front light stays on for 2 sec and you hear the machine click off?

    I think you may have already been told what the problem is.  However look at this and maybe it will help:

    Probably another genius bar appointment is the best way to exactly define the problem.
    Good luck.
