OK. That's what I thought you meant, but the terminology was confusing to me. I get it now.
Did you try going to the Videos App, tap on Movies or TV shows - whichever one you want to delete, then tap the Edit button in the upper right corner. All of the videos will have an X in the upper left corner of their icons. Tap on that X to delete that movie or TV Show. Tap the Done button when you are finished.
However, you have a problem that you need to fix. Your Settings app is crashing (taking you back to the home screen when you try to use it) and that's not a good thing. You need to be able to use the settings app. Quitting the apps and rebooting didn't help?

Can't address the problem directly, cause even though my iPad4 is Cell+Wi-Fi, I've never put a SIM in it and never had the need to text, SMS or iMessage, from it. When away from the office or home wireless network, I tether it off the iPhone. Skype, both text and video, work just fine thru the Wi-Fi link, though.
HOWEVER, when I was hashing out the contract details to get the iPhone 5 about 14 months ago at Telcel, the representative distinctly mentioned that both Visual Voicemail as well as iMessages would be included in the package and they would be mandatory cause "I was getting a (subsidized) Apple iPhone" on a 24 month leash. Then when the gizmo came out of its box for SIM installation and activation, she went thru the motions of making sure both were working properly. So I assume the carrier has some say in the matter.

I took the orginal photos on my iphone over the past couple of years and bit by bit i uploaded them onto my sony lap top in albums... Nothing to do with itunes...
A few months ago as my laptop didn't seem as reliable so i uploaded all the pics onto my ipad from my laptop, it was today where i thought i will upload more from my phone onto the mac then onto my ipad but insted it overwrote all the pics on my ipad.
I had tried to do the back up and it didnt work the photos were lost.
Then my ipad later today was driving me insane and wouldnt delete any of the pics so i just restrored it back to factory settings.
My laptop has had issues so i have in restored all that to.
I will now in the future just upload from my phone straight to my mac and not mess about wanting pics on my ipad.
I appricate your help but i am pretty sure i have lost all of my photos... My kids 1st day at school the lot...

Sorry for the delay in response. Is it happening with all the files?
Also, please write the steps you are taking to type in the document.
You might try uninstalling and re installing the Reader in case it is happening with all the files.

HT4060 My first generation Ipad won't allow me to charge it by the mains socket. This was a replacement as my origional Ipad had a software problem. I have rebooted it a number of times but still not charging. Any advice?

My Ipad 3G has decided not to charge. I have been using the same charger that came with it which worked perfectly until a few days ago. The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

My iPhone 5 appears to be using too much memory, particularly 7.9GB out of the 32GB labeled "OTHER". Even my iPad Air has only 3.9GB labeled "OTHER". How do I identify what "OTHER" is actually used for and how do I mitigate this?

According to iTunes I am using approximately 20.35GB of the available 27.32GM of memory, leaving about 7GB free. Of the used memory, about 7.9GB is labeled "OTHER". Making the same measurement on my iPad Air, only 3.9GB is labeled "OTHER". Why am I loosing so much memory capacity and what do I do to mitigate this problem?
This is having a significant effect on using my iPhone for recording Video interviews which in some cases constitute two to three hours of video. I need to be able togged the "OTHER" memory space so I can do more than one video recording during a session. Lowering the "OTHER" category to 3.9GB, the same as the iPad Air, would make it possible to record two or in some cases three videos before having to offload them to the MacBook Pro for editing in the evening.

You can use iCloud to sync something's between the two devices. Stuff like contacts and calendar entries come to mind. For most content though, getting the same items on each device entails that iTunes on a computer be used to store the content and then syncing each device to the computer running iTunes.

Can only view the text of each email by rotating iPad

My ipad 2 email client is not displaying the email text at all. It displays the headers ok - sender, time, date, etc. However, there is no text in the main body window. The only fix seems to be to rotate the iPad screen from Landscape to Portrait (or vice-versa) and the text and pictures appear. Also, if I go back to the emails later, they are blank once again, and have to be rotated again. This has to be done for each and every individual email. Any ideas? You cant delete an re-install the email client can you? Cheers.

Have you tried closing the Mail app completely and then seeing if it works ok when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

It sounds like you have gone from a cable router with the TC bridged to a cable modem with no router.. so the first device to connect pick up the IP address. Did the cable company give you the same model?? Check if it is a pure modem or a modem router.. and what the last one was.
Anyway.. you should redo the setup.. do you have any computer with ethernet?? Did you buy a USB to ethernet adapter for one of your airs.. very hard to do setup without ethernet.

Redo the setup and make sure you setup correctly to router mode if the cable modem has no router or bridge mode if it is a router.

Where did the text justification feature in Pages for iPad Doc Setup go?

In previous versions of Pages for iPad ( pre iOS8) there used to be text justification option in document setup mode. In latest version, 2.4.2, the justification feature is missing for the headers and footer . There does not seem to be any way to center my text in the header.
Anyone have an idea?

Thank you for the response, even if it confirmed my fears. I've had a go with the "Show Spelling and Grammar" and it is much less useful than the methods of 4.x
How dissapointing, as someone who regularly works with documents in multiple languages. What's worse: I cannot even open my old documents now in Pages 4.x once they have been opened by 5.0.
