anyone help please my phone woint stop telling me everything sice pressing a button for voice on a translator app. the screen will not scroll. I have sync the phone deleted the app on the lap top but it wont let me delete it on the screen because its frozen. I have taken out the sim card.. I have turned it off now Im stuck.. Im in a small village in Spain and cannot get to an Appke store to get it fixed yet. Any ideas?
Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

Hi, I just updated my mac from version10.6 to 10.9.3 os mavericks. i went to open iPhoto and it says "Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iPhoto after the upgrade." does this mean I have lost all photos i had in there? Can any one help. How do i get my google app to open on my iphone? It just flashes up but does not open. I have deleted this app, and backed and restored and downloaded again but has not made any difference. Thanks.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then restart your iPad.
See if that makes a difference. -
A text like box has appeared on the screen of my iphoe and this has to be over the app I want to use. I then have to double click on the icon for it to open. I cannot scroll across or down. I can access the apps but because it will not scroll I cannot access all of the screen. Can nayone help please???
It sounds like VoiceOver is partially on. First try triple pushing the Home button. This may turn VoiceOver off. If that doesn't work going to Settings/General/Accessibility and make sure VoiceOver is Off. Note you may have to use 3 fingers on the screen to scroll.

Check the setting in System Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse & Trackpad tab > mouse options.. button > check scrolling.
If you have an older mouse with the trackball, it might just need cleaning. Turn the mouse over and rub the trackball vigorously on paper or microfiber cloth.

Iv'e had my mac for 2 weeks safari was working great until I changed to a wire less super hub. Safari will not let me open & log into a web site I go on a lot. My ipad & windows lap top will on the same network. Apple have said it's the DNS setting my cable provider say it's not it's a problem with my mac. Iv'e phoned apple lots of times same with cable provider Iv'e tried a few things it has not helped solve the problem. I'm now advised to return my mac to the shop for a check. Has anyone else had this problem I would appreciate any help because I'm going round in circles.
Adding a couple of DNS numbers sometimes helps:
System Preferences>Network, select your wifi or ethernet network on the left and click on the 'advanced' button and then the DNS tab. On the left side of the window make a note of any DNS numbers listed so that you can re-instate them if necessary and then click on the '+" button bottom left of the window. Type 8.8.8.8 and click the + again and type 8.8.4.4 save the settings and try the website again.
BTW, I have the same problem with Firefox not letting me input my password in secure sites. I did find a workround in the network settings in Firefpx prefs, but it didn't stick so I reverted to using Chrome as alternative browser. No problems with that so long as you don't mind Google looking over your shoulder -

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. -

Can anyone help me with this problem. Every time I click a video to play it itunes tells me it is shutting down. I bought a new monitor last week and thought it might be a resolution problem so I hooked up the old monitor and it still told me the same thing. I had an app which disables an iPhone to connect to the internet via mobile network. In the meantime I have deleted that app but it still affects my phone. For example iPhone shows that 3G sign on the top (next to the time) but it is unable to open any website. Is there anything I can do about it?
What was the app you are referring to? I'm not aware of anything on the app store that is designed to do that, unless you're talking about an app that was causing a problem...

When I synced my phone with my mac, the music that I had in my phone got transferred to my mac. 140 songs to be exact, however I can no longer see the songs on my phone, only the purchased album I have appears. How can I get the songs I had back?
Connect your phone to computer, and sync like this. Check the boxes for the playlists, artists, albums you want to sync. Then click Apply. If you have enough space on your phone, you can choose Entire music library.

I have updated my iOS and now my hotmail will not verify my password through apple mail app. I have reset password - tried new password and old password and it still gives me password incorrect. Hotmail works fine on Mac. Has anyone had this difficulty and been able to resolve it?
Did you try deleting the mail account, then adding it back? I've read a lot of times that is what needs to happen in order for it to work properly.

I downloaded and installed Lion on an external hard drive using my laptop which is running Snow Leopard I have now decided that I want to install Lion on my Laptop, but when I go to the App store and click on my purchases it will not download again

Tried your suggestion various ways but it had no effect the download button was still greyed out and the install button would not activate will keep trying to find a solution. I dont want to boot from the external hard drive that has Lion on mainly because it is a usb HD and the connection to my wireless modem slows the connection rate and downloading would take about ten hours -
I have my contacts synced with icloud and exchange. I want all of them to be synced via icloud, I have tried turning contacts off and then clicking merge but that doesn't copy all of them over. How do I transfer all contacts onto my phone and then icloud?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you can't do this on a computer, which would be much easier using drag and drop, then you will need to share the contacts with yourself in order to move them to the iCloud account.
