I had a very old copy of elements.  Now, with LR, I'm totally lost.  Did I make the wrong purchase?

When I say old copy of elements, I mean really old, like me.  Does LR have the same functions and features that elements had?  Should I have purchased elements instead?

Lightroom works a lot differently than Photoshop Elements. But in my opinion it is a lot more efficient for many things. However, there are some things that Lightroom cannot do, such as create panorama images, move objects within an image, and other tasks that require pixel manipulation. So Photoshop Elements can be used as an external editor to help you accomplish the tasks that Lightroom is not designed for. The two programs working together can provide you with a good workflow. How old is your Photoshop Elements?

    I'm sorry but it's very hard to understand what you mean. What filter menu? In which program? Do you mean you're trying to use PSE as an external editor with some other asset management program? Which one?

    hi, re my fans, this issue is about 1 week old and the machine is behaving normally.  However...the bottom of the machine is quite hot (but it has always been quite warm) and I do have my battery settings in preferences set to high performance (uses more memory.)  Also, I often stream video thru Firefox while working on medium/large Photoshop Docs as well as leaving ITunes or Preview open in the background.  Also, I leave my MacBook on continually...it's 3 years old...should I be concerned?  Is this issue indicitive of a battery problem or Sudden Computer Death Syndrome?

    Are the contact details in your contacts app, the phone app uses the contact app to put names against telephone numbers.

    Amyrice did you purchase Photoshop Elements 13 from Adobe directly?  If so then you may have a multi platform license.  You can find your registered serial number under your account at http://www.adobe.com/.  Additional details on how to locate your registered serial number can be found at Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.
    If you need to download the installation files for Mac OS then you can download the trial from Adobe - Download free trial version Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 | Adobe.

    Try opening directly from your desktop, by passing the welcome screen.
    Go to Windows Explorer>C drive>Program Files (x86)>Adobe>Photoshop elements 11. Right click, then Send to>Desktop
    Double click on the shortcut and see it will open.

    Just as a warning, your credit card number has been sent in the clear to probably thousands of people, including anyone who subscribes to e-mail alerts to this forum.  That's very, very bad.  The credit card should be considered compromised at this point, and you should cancel it immediately, if you haven't done so already.

    Your card is registered to exactly the same address (spacing and format) as is on your iTunes account ?You can contact iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    That's not how it works. Authorising is for music purchased from iTunes, not for music you've imported from CDsor elsewhere. Music purchased form other suppliers would also not be subject to this authorising procedure.
    Do you still have the old computer? If so, you need to copy the iTunes Library from that to the new computer. For example, in Windows XP, I would copy the My Music folder (which contains the iTunes Library, my Amazon MP3 purchases and album artwork) and put that onto an external drive. Then move the drive to the new computer and copy the copied folder onto the new machine thereby replacing the new machine's My Music folder. Then tell iTunes to look at the imported Library.
    Obviously, you need to take into account that you have Windows 7 (where I assume the folder names may be different), any other places on you old machine where songs are located and so on.

    If you did not sign out of your Apple ID on your iPhone before creating a new one, then you will need to sign back in with your previous Apple ID and then sign out.  If you do not remember your password and do not have access to the email account, then you can reset your password by using the security questions.

    I had bought Photoshop Elements about 6 years ago, had managed to log in and find it a few years ago when I got a new computer. My boyfriend just re-did my hard drive and reinstalled windows. I'm trying to find my old serial number for my Elements on here and can't find it anywhere??? I really can't afford a new copy right now and am getting very aggrivated. Please help!
