I had a working iPod til I ran updater ..
All I did was plug my 40 gig iPod into my computer, iTunes asked if I would like the auto-updater installed into my iPod, mistake, I said yes. It installed and it ran.. now all I see is a picture of a plug, and the disk spins. Reading here, Apple doesn't support the iPod at all. I assume they put the faulty software on their site to destroy your iPod so you have to buy a new one. I been through this site and I cannot find any customer support. Can anyone help me please?
When you have the picture of a plug, you need to plug your ipod into the mains to finish off the update. You will get the picture of an apple on your ipod for a couple of minutes and then the normal menus. You can then disconnect and use your ipod

Have you tried using the iPod with another user account or computer, to help narrow down whether the problem lies with the computer, account, or the iPod itself?
Maybe try reformatting it, using the tools provided by Windows. Instructions on how to reformat your iPod can be found in this article.

My Classic IPod had been working perfectly with Windows Vista OS and on a dock. I left it unattended for 10 days, recharged it and tried to play music on the dock. All that shows on the screen is the Apple Logo and I am unable to restart or update the IPod. Any ideas???

Am having all kinds of trouble enabling Home Sharing on Apple TV 3. Had been working previously, but now I am unable to share files between TV, Ipods and iMac. I have tried restarting all hardware, systems and connections. I recently upgraded modem, would this have an effect on connectivity?

My laptop had some work done on it and now my iTunes library is gone. My Nano 4 has all of my music on it and I want to sync what I have back into my iTune library. Anyone know how?
If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.
If you didn't purchase them through Itunes, then you'll have to download software that will strip the songs from your iPod onto your computer. And here is a guide about how to copy iPod music. Hope it helps. Feel free to email me if you need further help. -

I may have solved it from another post....the "sync music" tab wasn't clicked under "Summary/Music". I had recently downloaded a more recent version of iTunes, and it may have defaulted to that....sigh.....

The new version of iTunes does not recognize my Ipod-prior to this version, had no problem, Ipod showed up as list under the Imac library. Now getting synch must erase setting! Help
well nobody bothered to give me a hint on what to do, maybe because the problems with the new version of iTunes are really a lot, there is an enormous amount of people out there that have all sort of different problems including mine so I have decided to return to the previous version which works fine and wait untill the apple people come up with a decent product ....

I recently replaced the hard drive in my computer. I am afraid to download and reinstall itunes again because I worry about losing all the music I had on my iPod Nano. Any suggestions for solutions?

- Connect the iPod to your compouter and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up.
- Restore the iPod from that backup
Nothe that the backup that iTunees makes does not include synced media like apps nd music. -

I had to change my Apple ID and password in itunes. Now my icloud doesn't work and I can't update my apps on my iPhone. I have looked at suggestions on the community pages and apple suggestions but none of them are relevant to iOS 8.1.2
icloud just keeps bringing up my old email address & asking for my old password which doesn't exist anymore and when I try to sign out of icloud it wants my old password, when I tried to change my primary email back to the old one it wants me to verify it through an email address that doesn't exist. I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.

Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

Email not opening on my iPad2 This is a sudden thing, email had been working fine since purchasing the device then today would not stay open, now it will not open at all. After trying to open mail I receive a white screen for a nano second and the app closes.
Have you tried closing the Mail app completely ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Mail 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
I installed a new wireless router on Tues. (May4) up until that time I had no problems using Firefox. Now I cannot get it to open on one computer, and the other it will open but will not load. Wondering if it has anything to do with the router, my provider or our computers. Again, it had been working fine. I am also unable to open interent explorer now on either computer.
