I had an IPhone 4, I just got a new IPhone5, when I plugged it in I selected New Device instead of returning user, how can I correct this

I Backed up my fiancé's IPhone 4, forgot to sign out. I then plugged my IPhone 5, should have selected returning user under my name, but instead I selected new device and started backing up under my fiancé 's name, can some one instruct me how to plug my IPhone 5 & select it under my name

Restore the device from the backup created.
If no backup exists, there is nothing to recover.
