I had an online number & now it's gone? What happ...

I'm not sure what happened, I had a skype online number for the longest time & then I go to use it the other day & I don't have it any more & who knows how long & haven't had it for.
Is there a limbo/grace time that my number goes into before it's availalble again? How can I check to see if that's the case?

Log into your Skype account on this web site (use the "Account" link at the top of this page), then click on "Online Number" when you get there. You'll see any of those numbers on your account, along with the expiration date for each number. There is a grace period if the number has expired, 60 or 90 days, before the number is returned to Skype and made available to other Skype users.
If you don't see the number there, you can then follow the link to purchase the Online Number, then select the country and other details to get to a point where you can search for a desired number. It is possible that the number has been reassigned, if some time has already passed since the number's expiration. If it is there, you can purchase it again.

Had youtube add on, now it's gone; how do I get it back ?

I had a program called Medium Human Audio Converter on Firefox (with a little YouTube icon on the Firefox 21.0 home page). It made it possible for me to take a YouTube song and put the song into ITunes. The "Medium Human Audio Converter" icon is STILL on the dock (I have a Mac OS 10.6.8), and when I click on it I still get the drop down window that the song 'media' gets dragged into. But the actual YouTube icon that was on Firefox, and that I clicked on when the song began, and got the song title etc. on the desktop to drag to the converter drop down window has disappeared. No matter what I do with 'tools,' and 'toolbars,' and add ons etc. I can't get that YouTube icon back. I am obviously missing a few somethings in the steps I'm doing. Anybody know how to get it back ?

There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).

Up until today I have had a shipping date, now it's gone

I ordered my phone at about 2:10 CST on 9/12 and I received confirmation and everything. Now It is saying that my shipping date is not available. Could I please get some help with this?

Same thing is happening to me. I have two separate orders for 6 Plus'. I have checked the order status multiple times a day on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and today. Most of the time I get the message that my order has been received and is being processed with no shipping date available. However, there have been a few times where I got a Fed Ex tracking number for each order when I checked. Then I would check again later, and get the same message as before..."order has been received....in process.... no shipping date...blah blah blah"
I think the system is all kinds of messed up. At least I captured the tracking numbers when it did show. The Fed Ex tracking status shows that the items have been picked up and is scheduled for future delivery. The delivery dates are for 9/19. Interestingly, I still have not been charged. My AMEX card still has just a $1 authorization hold from VZW.

The two of you were uing the same Apple ID for iCloud
You used the list of "Devices" to lock your iPhone but selected the wrong iPhone
In order to lock that device, you needed to enter a lock code.. Tell your friend that code and she will be able to unlock it. The process will work just as if a lost iPhone was returned to the rightful owner.

I had Lightroom 2 and now I don't-- what are my options?

I purchased Lightroom 2 in 2009 for my desktop computer. At the time the computer was running Windows Vista. We finally upgraded to Windows 7 this week. The guy who installed it for us did a "clean" install, meaning he wiped the hard drive and restored files after the new system was in place. I was advised that I could re-install programs--like Lightroom--that had been on the computer previously if I kept my serial numbers. But now that I've gone to the Adobe website I can't seem to download Lightroom, even though I have the serial numbers. I fear it is because I purchased the program almost 5 years ago and somehow my license has ended.
Can anyone help? I would rather not plunk down another chunk of money for a new version of Lightroom. But even if I had to do so, can anyone advise me whether the program will "recognize" the photos that were organized in my old LIghtroom library and incorporate them into the new Lightroom?
I am functional on a computer but not very tech-savvy so forgive me if I am missing obvious clues.

Okay so like I said above, my Mozilla suddenly changed one day to showing a search box, and two different "favorite" tabs when I opened a new tab. After I set it up with my favorites and deleted the ones I didn't used I liked it a lot better and it was easier for my kids to use to find the websites they like. I had to reset my Firefox because I had a problem with a new blank tab opening every time I started it, when I did that it set it back to showing the nine thumbnail page. How to I get it back to the new page set-up?

You can modify the browser.newtab.url pref on the about:config page and set its value to your preferred new tab page.
You can open the about:config page via the location bar and you can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

In the future, sync the device and transfer purchases more regularly.
You can also contact iTunes customer support and ask them for the opportunity to redownload the content, but keep in mind they are under no obligation to grant that opportunity. Video content is single download.

Firefox can find extensions in several locations, but Firefox 21 changed the location of the "shared" extension folder used by some third party installers. There are a couple of workarounds:

My Computer Crashed Last night and now itunes is gone what do i do?

Hi I have Windows XP on a HP Pavillion. I have itunes well had it until my computer crashed. Then all my music is gone. I had 30GB of music loaded and $5000 of music purchased from itunes. How do I get that back on my PC? Did I just lose $5000. All this music is stored on my ipod video 30GB model. So how do I get this back on my PC or did I just lose $5000.

The easiest way is to restore from your backups. You did make backups of that $5000 worth of purchased music, didn't you?
If you didn't, then it is possible to transfer your tracks from an iPod back to iTunes. It's been covered here a number of times already, but again:
First, you need to prevent automatic synchronzation with a blank copy of iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer, click "cancel" when iTunes presents the dialog box offering to synchronize to the iPod. Or hold down the Shift and Ctrl keys in Windows. This should stop the iPod from auto synching with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 3 and 25 seconds depending on your computer.
Then if you're using iTunes 7, you can then copy music that you purchased from the iTunes Store back to iTunes directly. Just use the Transfer Purchases From iPod command under the iTunes File menu.
If you're not using iTunes 7 or want to copy back other tracks, the easiest way will be to search VersionTracker for "iPod". You'll find a number of utilities that can transfer your tracks and your playlists from your iPod back to your PC.
It's also possible to do this manually, but the procedure is rather involved. If you're interested, though, see this thread:

I have never seen such a poorly excuted VIOP system. I have had a online number for four years. I moved and needed a local number. I had 1 month left on the year and extended my subscription. Before the current year was up I needed to change my number. They refuse to do it. They will not refund the extended year I paid for and will not change my number. WTH! It takes 30 seconds to get a new number from Google voice or even Virgin Mobile. This will be be my last year with Skype.

Once an Apple ID is created for a child, the birthday on record for that Apple ID can not be changed. See this article for reference -

Specifically -
Use these steps to create an Apple ID and add the child to your family group:
Go to Settings > iCloud > Family, and tap "Create an Apple ID for a child."
Enter your child's birthday and tap Next. The birthday for a child's account can't be changed after the account is created. Be sure to enter the correct date.
