I had Firefix, however I downloaded the newest Firefox along with all plugins. Now when I click in the desktop icon firefox refuses to open my default webpage. Why?
I run Windows 7. I downloaded Firefox 6.0 for Windows which resulted in the following which I cannot fix:

I can go to internet explorer or AOL and it opens right up to my homepage but not when I click on Firefox.
That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

First and foremost, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. On top of this, it has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and usability. In any case, and since you seem to be in the process of updating (you should have done so a while ago, since Firefox 2.0 has been discontinued years ago, I believe), your problems may exist because you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. I just finished downloading and attempting the install of ios 7 on my iPhone 5. I'm using the newest version of iTunes.
And now, I'm stuck at the screen with the iTunes logo and the plug. But no matter how many times I try, recovery mode will not work. My phone is currently useless unless I can figure this out.No problem, glad to help!
Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine. -
I have Adobe Photoshop CS4 and have just upgraded my Mac operating system to Yosemite with the newest version of Java 2014 running. When I try to access Photoshop from Bridge or directly open it asks for a Legacy Version of Java 6. As I am a pensioner I cannot afford an upgrade does anyone know of a work-around for this problem?

I updated my Iphone4 and had the m.calendar app with all of my daily temperatures saved, since the update after even after synching the iphone to itunes I have lost months of tracking I am devastated!! can anyone help get it back
I don't understand this answer. What do you mean " your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have selected to sync."? The address book is created on the phone not in Itunes or any other program/service. When Itunes says backing up phone I have to assume it backs up everything on the phone. Most of what's on my phone does not come out of itunes. I download apps directly on the phone. When the software updates it does not bring those apps back. I have to go into the appstore and install them all over again. Itunes music library syncs with whatever is on the device your linked up to BUT the phone book just dissappears after you update the phone. There is no way to save it anywhere else.

I am using ITUNES 11 on Win 7 64 bit. I can download podcasts to my IPOD touch just fine but when I click on the ITUNES store I get an error message that stays "ITUNES has stopped working". How do I trouble shoot or fix this? Thanks

Which version of Design Standard are you asking about? I don't think any Creative Suite packages existed in 1993. I think the first CS came out in 2003.

I'm using windows 7, trying to download pictures from my canon 5d mark 2, but when I click import, the camera does not appear. I've tried changing USB ports, switching the camera on and off, trying a different USB cord, tried a different camera, but nothing. Please help! This problem only started a few days ago on lightroom 3.6, upgraded to 5.5, but still not working. Thanks.
Can you see the Canon EOS camera and image files using Windows Explorer? If not disconnect the camera, close all applications' shutdown Windows, and TURN OFF the power to your system and ALL connected devices. Disconnect all phones, iPads, and any other USB devices and restart your system.
Retry Windows Explorer and see if your camera is showing. If so try LR import again. -
I have Windows 7 and just recently experienced a problem with itunes freezing up when I clicked on the "apps" tab which shows the apps that are loaded on my phone. Everything else in the itunes software seems to be working okay. The problem is in the part where you sync the newly purchased apps. The apps will all be blank that are downloaded and that part of the software crashes itunes or freezes up. I can get out of itunes okay after the freeze up, but it just stops me from syncing anything that I have newly added. If anyone has had this problem before or knows someone that has, please let me know how I can fix it. I have uninstalled and reloaded itunes 4 or 5 times, but the problem is still there. I might add that I have been using itunes and purchasing apps for 2 to 3 years without any problems. HELP.

Just bought 2 apps on the app store "bardbarian" and "Slayin", but now when i look at the history of what i bought it says i owe them ca 2dollars!!! help?!?!?!Untill the movie studios agree to allow past downloads of movies outside of the US, you aill always have to have a copy of purchased movies on your computer. If not, you will have to buy them again if you delete them.

when I have a pdf file open, I used to be able to click on "Bookmarks" tab on left side and allow me to click on each individual page and delete if I needed to. Now when I click on the Bookmarks tab, that section is empty. How can I get it to show each page again?

I think you may be confusing bookmarks with thumbnails. If you click the Page Thumbnails icon (the one above the Bookmarks icon), then you can delete a page by clicking its thumbnail, and clicking the Delete Pages icon (the trashcan icon). Just make sure that you're viewing the PDF file in Acrobat (rather than Acrobat Reader), as you can't delete pages from Reader.

I reset Firefox. Now when I click on the icon to open Firefox my computer asks me if I want to let Firefox make changes to my computer.
I have read that I should do a clean reinstall. Will I loose all of my open tabs, bookmarks, history etc?

Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
* Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
* "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\). -
I am trying to use sites on the internet which require Adobe Flash Player, and when I click for a free download it says that "it is not available for your device because of restrictions that Apple has put in place". Any suggestions on how to overcome this?
Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus it would be up to Adobe to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, something which they have never managed to do and which they have now given up on trying to do.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so your could try checking there for your sites (and there is the built-in YouTube app). -
