Yes you can sync them to another computer or to the same one, but since it will effectively be a new iTunes library, you will be prompted to transfer purchases or erase and sync. You can transfer your purchases to get the content back on your computer, and this article will help with that.

As far as your calendars, contacts, reminders and notes, if you you are not already using icloud, I would sign into iCloud and sync that content to the Cloud so no data is lost.

Additionally, I think it would also be a good idea to backup your phone to your computer as well.

As long as the apps are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free, and if you are in a country where you can re-download music then you should be able to re-download them as well : what you can re-download for free will appear under the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes

It was second generation iPod touch they were of a close friend who recently passed away and I would kind of like to have them to remember her.
If you are running the latest version of iTunes on your pc, just go to the iTunes Store. On the right side of the Store home page listed under Quick Links is a link called Purchased. Just give it a click and content (with the exception of movies) that you bought from iTunes with the Apple ID that you are signed into the store with will be listed and available to download again at no charge.

What have you tried to fix it ? If you haven't already done so then see if any of the following fix it :
- log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in
- close the iTunes store app via the multitasking bar and see if it works when you re-open it : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the iTunes store app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
- soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot. -

Um actually i know the back up password. The only problem is i cant restore my back up on to my iphone since the bak up is crrupted. And im wondering if the photos and stuff will still be seen in the back up folder if it is corrupted. My mom says its fine if the data in our iphone got erased. But did the photos save in the itunes? Can we view it even though the files are corrupted? If i cant how can i repair it? What if the back up file is erased becoz of the new dates? How can i retrieve them? Can iexplorer open a corrupted file? Latly can someone give me an application to retrieve all the files? Without purchasing it?! Plssssss answer! Im doomed!

I really enjoy this add-on, found I can't live without it. I have followed this issue since Firefox 8.0 and found that even 'Compatibility Reporter' is now non functional also with 10.0.2!!!
The add-on WORKS FINE! it is just a text change on the version max that is the issue. How do I FORCE Firefox to accept it? Is there some entry in the about:config I can modify?
When I try to 'Install add-on from File' I get "Screengrab could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 10.0.2." It was compatible for three weeks running in 10.0.2 after the 10.0.1 to 10.0.2 upgrade and then today when I started Firefox it was gone and the add-on Manager only had a Remove button, no Enable/Disable option available! I Removed it thinking I could just put it back. I can't.
Alternately where can I get 10.0.1 and revert back to it [ and never upgrade again!] I tried http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html but it doesn't seem to be what I need, it is just 3.6.* and I don't need to go back that far.
Worst of all. I have Firefox 10.0.2 on a Windows 2000 Pro PC and is still works with screengrab 0.96.3 fixed!It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

JiayiLiDoesn't matter. And if they have any property at all, it's worth the $50 filing fee for small claims court in most places.
If nothing else, filing could force Apple to disclose the email address and other information that was used to activate the stolen phone and lock it, leading to the identity of the thief or someone else involved in the crime.
For me, it would be well worth the $50 even if all I got was an attachment of future wages. Since i don't have the legal right to just shoot the bastage, it's the next best thing. -
Will everything be erased from my iPhone if I 'erased iPhone from find my iPhone'?
My iPhone recently stopped wroking because the lock button didnt work anymore, but I didn't find out until I took it to get fixed. I called in to my provider to get a new one (but they weren't able to send me a new one, so I still have the same one) and they told me to go to icloud.com and erase iPhone from find my iPhone. I got it all fixed but I'm worried that once I connect my phone to my iTune library it's going to erase everything on my phone. Is there anyway I can cancel the request to erase? It says

The FindMyiPhone app is for finding your iPhone (or someone else's iPhone). If your iPhone is in your hands, you really don't need the app to find it. -
I had my Macbook Pro stolen about a month ago... so i went inmediately to ''find my Mac'' and ordered the system to erase the drive and block the Mac as soon as conected to interent.
I recovered the device a week later, so before turning it on, i went to ''find my mac'' and couldnt find any other option to tell the system that i found my stole device, so i clicked ''forget device''
i turned the Macbbok on, and nothing happened, it worked perfectly. but it doesnt appear anmore on my devices.
is there any way to get it back to ''my devices'', and use features such as ''find my mac'' wothout bringing the order from the system to erase and block the device as i ordered before??????

Is iPhone Cellular calls enabled in the FaceTime settings? If so, uncheck that. A new feature of 8.1 is to enable calls to be received on devices using the same iCloud acct.

When i sync to mac all my purchases got erased from ipod
when i purchase music from my ipod in the wifi itunes store the next time i sync it to my computer it gets erased, it doesnt even transfer anywhere, its completely gone, and i bought over $40 worth, and its all just gone. this has happened before but i didnt pay attention to it and i bought a same album again, and when i went to purchase it it said to me are you sure youd like to buy this you already have before and i said ok.
i cant just look past this one guys, i lost alot of music and money. there has to be somehting i can do

HayleyFirst off you need to figure out how you are erasing the music. I say "you are erasing the music" because it's very unlikely that its just disappearing. Make sure you are signed into the same account in itunes (top right hand corner of the main itunes store screen) as you used to purchase the music on the ipod. Next make sure you are signed into the same account on the computer. How are you syncing the ipod with itunes, manually, automatically, only certain playlists? After you figure out whats happening with your music you could contact apple at http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/ from what I've heard they will sometimes allow you to redownload any purchased music ONCE, so decide on whether its worth it or not at this point. Finally always backup any purchases you make to a seperate location!

I use Utorrent as my program for many downloads. The other day I reset Firefox due to some issues. Now I when I click on a magnet file it does nothing and says U torrent not available,. I can still dl a torrent file, thus my u torrent is set properly. Something changed in the Firefox reset, what I don't know.
I did check in the tools>>>options that magnets are opened with u torrent...still don't work

Do you still have the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop that contains the personal data from your previous Firefox profile?
You can try to check the prefs.js file in that folder and use copy and paste to add lines that refer to torrent to the prefs.js file in the current Firefox profile folder.
You may have to copy the mimeTypes.rdf file as well.
If you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some of your data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported and your current profile will be moved to the desktop (Old Firefox Data).
You will lose extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you've made.
It is possible to recover more data from the old profile, but be cautious to avoid carrying over the problem.

Just signed up for MobileMe. Had a little difficulty setting up iCal but eventually got everything working. Whether posting to iCal on my Mac Book or iPhone, sync seemed to be working fine for about a day. Then suddenly when I opened iCal on my Mac Book, I would receive the following iCal error message:
"The calendar https://cal.me.com/calendar/calendar/principals/users/1.1117025442/ was not found on the server. Make sure the URL is correct." I know where it is located but because I did not enter the URL when I set up MobileMe/iCal, I don't know what the correct URL should be.Mike,

I made the fatal mistake of allowing iCloud to handle my @mac mail account.
I had set this address up with aliases and never had a problem.
Ever since iCloud has been handling it I have had problems.
It seams impossible to claim my account back from iCloud. How can it be achieved or has Apple set a booby trap?iCloud is the successor to MobileMe. MobileMe shuts down forever tomoorrow.
If you only want to use the email portion of your previous MobileMe account you can. You do not have to use all the other features of iCloud, just like you didn't have to use all the other features of MobileMe.
The email account has not really changed at all. Just the server address it comes from.
The sending emails problem you are having, is this on your Mac in Mail, in webmail at iCloud.com or on your iOS device?
When it doesn't succeed in sending, what does it do? Any error message?
What mail server settings are you using in Mail? What version of Mac OS X are you using?
