Now it keeps saying that it is restored but there is still no music or video on it. And a new error is coming up that says "We could not complete your iTunes store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

  • TS2776 Had to get a new hard drive, of course lost all my music in itunes. If I sync my ipod to itunes will I lose my music on my ipod??

Had to get a new hard drive, of course lost all my music in itunes.  If I sync my ipod to itunes now will I lose my music on my ipod?

Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device.  Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

As for you own music, you may have to use a third party software to copy over.  A good Free one is called Sharepod which you can download from Download.com here:

  • My new IPod shuffle is plugged into my computer on my iTunes account but it has been blinking orange for hours. What should I do?

    Hello!
I just purchased an IPod Shuffle.  I have an existing account with Itunes where I have many songs in my library. I plugged in my IPod Shuffle into my computer and ITune, but it has been blinking orange for hours. I had already charged the IPod until the light turned green.  So I thought it was fully charged.  When I go under "file" and "device" it won't permit me to sync my IPod.  What is happening?  Should my IPod be on or off and does that make a difference because I have it turned on. Anyone who can provide me with some guidance it would be greatly appreciated.  I am extremely frustrated and at the end of my rope.
    Thank you,
    Samantha

    venicespent,
Boot into your Mavericks Recovery partition by hold down the command and R keys whilst booting. You'll see a screen that looks like this:
Click on the Disk Utility item to open Disk Utility. You should see your boot drive (usually named "Macintosh HD" unless you've changed it) in the column on the left of the screen. Select your boot partition and click on the "Verify" button. Let your Mac do it's thing - if you get green text telling you that everything seems to be OK, then your disk should not be damaged. If, however, you get red text telling you that the disk needs to be repaired, click on the "Repair" button. If the disk can be repaired, you should be good to go. If the disk cannot be repaired then the drive is damaged.
But before you do anything, make certain that you have backups!!!

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

    Hello Jeffrey,
Congratulations on your new iPhone 5s!  Also, thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your purchased music
It sounds like you have tried the steps in the following article, and are not seeing your purchased music when looking in your Purchases:
    Download past purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If you are not finding your purchased music in Purchases, it may be that the music is hidden.  Follow the steps below in iTunes on your computer to check if it is hidden and unhide it:
    To unhide your purchases
Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
If you're not already signed in, choose Store > Sign in.
Choose Store > View My Account. (You may be asked to enter your password again).
On your Account Information summary, scroll down to the "iTunes in the Cloud" section and click Manage.
Choose a content type by clicking Music, TV shows, Apps, or Books from the top.
Click the Unhide button next to the item you would like to restore.
Note: If the item you are unhiding is not already downloaded on your computer locally, it will begin downloading automatically.

  • TS3572 itunes recognizes my ipod shuffle but it wont charge

Whenever i plug my ipod shuffle into itunes it gets recognized, but for some reason it never charges. i did all the steps to reset it and it still doesnt work

You'll need to provide more info...  When you connect it, the shuffle's light comes on briefly, but then goes out?  Does the shuffle appear in iTunes?
Is your computer a Mac or Windows PC?  If Windows, what release of Windows are you using?  If Mac, what's the Mac model?
the led indicator light wont stay on as before
When you say "as before," I assume that means this shuffle worked properly before at some point.  Was that with a different computer, or this same computer?  If same computer, anything major that was different before when it worked properly?

  • How can I get my new iPod shuffle to work in my 2013 Honda Fit?

I keep getting an "unsupported device" display on the radio.

Are you connecting it to a USB port on the car audio system?
Does the car audio system have an aux. audio input mini-stereo jack?  If so, you can get something like this
    http://www.amazon.com/Monster-iCable-Player-Auxiliary-Input/dp/B002AR5XIK
and connect the shuffle's headphones jack to the car audio system aux. audio input, set the car audio system to use that input, and play the shuffle through the car audio system.

  • New iPod shuffle is not detected by my pc or itunes.

This is my first iPod product so I'm not sure what, if anything, I'm doing wrong. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, Version 6.1/ serv. pack 1.  and iTunes 10, version 10.4.0.80 . If I'm up to date, and I think I am, could it be a faulty cord? I'd appreciate the help...thank-you!
Also....I tried the shuffle on my laptop and it isn't being detected on it either.

For those of you checking this because you're having the same problem with your 3rd or 4th generation shuffle I may have found  the answer. After days of searching,  I came across a photo of the shuffle showing the right and wrong cord insertion. My cord when inserted into the shuffle still had about a quarter of an inch of the stem showing. You need to firmly push till you hear a snap and it will seat itself in the hole leaving nothing between it and the shuffle. Right away I got a recognition from my PC. So simple...hope it works for you too!

I Need to deactivate my license on my old computer and put it on my new one, but I can't because my hard drive crashed. How do this?

Just install it on your new computer and activate it with your serial number.

  • How can I get iTunes to recognize my new iPod shuffle?

I have a new iPod shuffle, but when I plugged it into my MacBook Pro to charge it and put music on, nothing happens. It does not appear to be charging and does not show up on my iTunes. The USB port works fine, and iTunes recognizes my iPhone and iPad. Is there something I am missing here. or should I take it back to the store as defective?

    Hi all :-)
I have also a problem with a new ipod shuffle
I plug it and itunes alerts me that something went wrong.
I have MBA 13" 2012 on Yosemite, Itunes is up to date
If someone has a solution. Thank you

  • Can I add a new Ipod Shuffle and start a new playlist under my account if my original Ipod Shuffle is full?

If my original Ipod Shuffle is full, and I want to get a new Ipod Shuffle and start a new playlist, can this be done without compromising the first playlist?

Yes.  I have a 1st gen shuffle, a 2nd gen shuffle, and a "bigger" iPod (plus an iPhone).  They can all connect to iTunes at the same time, and be set up independently.
However, if your old shuffle is "full," you can delete song you no longer want on it and add new songs.  You don't need to get a new shuffle, just to get more space for new songs.
