I had to reinstall itunes and now my apps are gone

Long story short, I had to do a full system recovery on my PC and I had to reinstall itunes afterward.
I opened itunes and logged into my account but now there is no longer a section called "My Apps" on the left-side menu.
I'm also afraid to connect my ipad because I don't want to to accidentally sync and remove all the apps from my ipad.
How do I get all my apps back into itunes?

You may want to make sure you're installing the right version of itunes. If you have a 64bit system, you will need to make sure to download and install the 64bit version of iTunes.

Open iTunes and connect your iPod. Select your iPod in iTunes from the Source list. (I'm assuming this still works, although you didn't indicate if it did or didn't.) Make sure the box is checked to Open iTunes when this device is connected. You should be all set!

Hello everyone, this is my first and hopefully only post, assuming that I have no more problems with my iTunes/iPod.
Ok, I recently had to have a new hard drive installed in my computer, and I got it back today. I had to reinstall iTunes, and after doing so I tried to transfer all the songs from my iPod to my new iTunes. All of the songs that I purchased from iTunes transferred without a hitch. I have many songs that I've copied from my CD collection on my iPod, however, and none of these will transfer to my computer now. Can someone please tell me how I can get these songs from my iPod to iTunes without going back and recopying every single CD I own?? Thanks in advance!!

The transfer of content sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. I am so upset because about 15 years, I've had the same old Toshiba Gigabeat MP3 player which worked perfectly fine until the day Gigabeat (the software) upgraded to a Vista-compatibility program which made the MP3 go haywired!! I couldn't get the MP3 player (again) to work as normal prior to the update. Then, two years later, the business no longer supports MP3 players, nor does it invest in software patches! Now I have a failed equipment ... though it still plays, but just won't let me work the controls to choose or select tracks! I can only operate the on/off button on the Toshiba Gigabeat MP3 player! AND, concidentally, the battery seems to shorten (lessen)! Interesting...
Then, I decided okay, I had enough...I can't play over 5.000 songs just to return to start; I decided to purchase the Apple iPod Classic 160 GB Silver! I've had it only since March 2012. It worked wonderfully at first. It took me months to put all the music from my CDs to this magical device. And, then, all of a sudden, my computer CRASHED (ironically in JUNE 2012!!) and lost all on the hard drive ... perhaps it is not ironic afterall.
Here's a tall quesion to Apple manufacturer, are they preparing us to confiscate our equipment? It sure seems that way to me!

It has been shown there are problems with the latest update of iTunes and Windows computers. What you need to do is remove and reinstall iTunes, and make sure that you follow the steps in this support document exactly. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923. If you do not follow them exactly, you will just compound your problems. Once you do this, you should have no trouble having the phone recognized in iTunes.

ITunes library help - moved to external drive and now my apps are gone?

I moved my iTunes library to an external drive, but now my apps are gone? I do have iTunes match and iCloud, so my songs are all on the cloud, but none of my apps are showing...
I copied everything over, consolidated, but I must have messed something up as I think I have too many library files on the external drive now. I can see all my files on the external drive, but they are not showing up when I open itunes. It looks like it linked to a new copy of a library as only my most recent apps are showing, nad none of my existing ones are on itunes. What should I do to fix this? How do I know which files to delete?

I followed the instructions from Apple support to move itunes to an external drive, did what it said (obviously I messed something up). I then started itunes and missed the part where it says to tell itunes where the library was, and consequently itunes created a new library with none of my apps or anything in it.
All of my music is on icloud and I als ohave itunes match, so all of my music is on the cloud.
I have read some of the other postings to delete the newly made (and missing apps) itunes library file and ithen point it to the correct library file, but I am now paranoid I would delete the wrong one.

I updated my itouch and now my apps are gone and I can't download.

So I did the ios5 update on my itouch gen4 and I synced it right before and everything was still normal. The upgrade took about 30-40 mins. I kept it pluged the whole time and after for about an hour or two but everything had stopped loading. But it only restored my photos. My music and apps are gone. Which wouldnt be a huge deal but I when I started to download my apps from the app store, the first worked but everything from then won't download. It's not my internet because safari works but the apps just keep saying waiting. If you could help, that would be great. By the way, my ipod was not jailbroken.

Are the files still physically on your HD?
[User]/Music/iTunes/Media/Music is the default location. Unless you suddenly have a bunch of new "free space" on your hard drive, they're still where they were, you just need to create a new library file.
