I had uploaded picture folders to my iphone, now I want to delete them, how do I do that?

I had sorted my pictures into multiple folders and I thought I could just uncheck the sync pictures box and it would remove them, but it doesn't. And I can't even seem to find the folders anywhere to delete them anyway.

Well i had some issues when I first updated to os 5.0 where my photo albums were not in the right order. So I unchecked my sync box (basically indicated that I didn't want it to sync), and it didn't remove any of my photos. Then I went back in and rechecked the sync box (which when using iPhoto specifically says "Sync Selected Albums and Events". Then i specifically unchecked all of the events I had initially selected. That resulted in everything getting deleted which is what I wanted.
Since I'm not familiar with the specific sync process for photos from a PC, not sure what your selection options are, but it seems like it needs to be actually running the sync process in order to either add OR remove photos....

You sould have been given the option to delete them after importing when you imported them, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
To do this on your phone, open the album you want to delete photos from (so you are viewing the thumbnails), tap Select, tap the photos, then tap the trash icon. (There is no "select all" option.)

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required.

Sounds like you used iTunes to sync them to your phone. You will need to use iTunes to unsync them - they can't be deleted on the phone.

If you want to open or save the uploaded file on local PC then follow below steps:
1. Take a "FileDownload" UI element
2. Create Resource type value attribute and bind it to resource property of "FileDownload" UI element.
3 Write the below code in wdDoInit() method:

I am having the same problems as this person. I see that someone said there is no way to retrieve the pictures once it gets stuck in recovery mode.
Then further along someone said that there are data retrieval methods except they have something to do with jail breaking a phone.
My phone is already jail broken. It was kind of a gift from the company I work for- it was a fellow employees before. He jail broke it and then it was given to me. After I got it I activated the 4 and tried to back up everything. It didn't work and "Springboard" forced the phone into safety mode. So I could use it with the old dude's apps and my contacts. I made the mistake of using the phone for wedding dress shopping with a friend. I took tons of pictures.
After this I found out the messages I was seeing meant it was jail broken. At&t said to force restore the phone - iTunes wouldn't recognize it in safety mode. I'm an idiot and didn't realize what this meant for my pictures. It didn't work (error 1611) - thankfully. Now it is stuck in recovery mode (iTunes icon and USB cable picture).
Can I access that media in any way? It never suceeded restoring itself so is it still there? The phone is jail broken already so is there a method I can use?

I've seen this happen when the phone was encrypted... Other than calling apple/deleting passcodes I don't know of any solution.
If you're keen on waiting, upload your photos to dropbox, that's the way I do it.

did you sync them with itunes on your computer to get them on your phone? Just unsync them using itunes on your computer, uncheck the folders that you synced and sync again

I suspect unless he had some items in iCloud backup then they are gone. Connecting an iPhone to a different library from that to which it was previously connected will result in the device asking if you want to erase it.

Do you have an installed email program such as Microsoft Outlook? If your email is through an online login, such as Gmail, etc, then one will have to create an email association with a program such as Microsoft Outlook on the PC for this Scan to Email system to function.

Ok hotpeg. plug ur iphone to the computer go to itunes, in the iphone menu select PHOTOS then search on ur computer where you save your previous pictures from the other iphone and sync , all pictures will be transfering to ur iphone.

That's because you can't delete it directly from the phone.
Since you synced not imported those pictures to your iphone using iTunes, you will need to do the opposite and unsync the pictures, in order to remove it from your phone.

I use my Galaxy Note 2 as a monitor when shooting with my 60D. The phone has a program I uploaded called DSLR Controller. This program allows me to use my phone not only as a monitor, but a remote control as well. I do some real estate photography where I elevate my camera on a 20 foot pole and can see and fire the camera using my Note 2.
I also have the software that came with the camera to use a laptop for the same functions, but I find the Note 2 is not as bulky when taking a shot and moving to another location and shooting again.
So LOTS of options are available!
