I had version 3.5.2 and Firefox updated to version 17. Is this right?

Hello-
I am new to Firefox. I have it set to update automatically. I noticed it was updating to the latest version today, so I stayed and watched. I had version 3.5.2 (I am pretty sure) but the latest version it just updated to is version 17. Is this right? I am used to version going in order but from version 3.5.2 to 17? did something go wrong?

Now your using Firefox 3.5.2 if you update, 
Firsts it update to Firefox 4 and keeps going on and finally update firefox 17. 
To avoid that, Download and Install it.

I wish it were that but a long time ago when I had a problem with the gadgets with iGoogle back 6 months ago thereabouts I was asked to disable it then and I did and I just went to re-check and it is still not enabled, however, it will not let me un-install it though.. It only gives me an option to enable or disable.. Any advice ? So I'm wondering if it is something else still or is there a problem with the avast still ?

Firefox 14 crashes after adobe flash and firefox update

only new events, firefox updated from 11 to 14 and flash updated.
first firefox crashed then had to reboot and it asked me if i was ok with deleting data, i did delete all except bookmarks. next time i got this message, didnt work. now when i try to open it it says this

I already did a clean install removing the mozilla folder entirely and I believe all the settings (since i asked for this during reinstall). still cannot open firefox.

hello, I had uninstalled the adobe Reader X and firefox is working again. But sadly I had uninstalled and reinstalled firefox about 3 times. :(

Flash crashing since Flash update to 11.5 and Firefox update to 17.

About 4 days ago, Adobe Flash Player updated to 11.5 and started crashing multiple times a day. So when Firefox updated to 17 today, I immediately uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled the new versions in hope that the problems would be fixed. When that wasn't the case, I followed all the steps for Flash 11.3 and nothing has worked. This is only happening in Firefox. Flash works fine in Google Chrome and in Internet Explorer. My school's primary requirement is that I use Firefox with Flash to do my schoolwork. This is an issue if I have to restart Firefox multiple times during my session. 25% of all Flash crashes also crash Firefox. I need help soon.

Has ANYBODY been able to contact Adobe and tell them that the latest version of Flash Players is ****** and to come up with a different version?

Both Safari and Firefox updates acting up!

I upgraded my Safari 3.1.1 and Firefox 2.0.0.14 browsers and now, I cannot access a subscribed website anymore on both!
I called the website and they said everything looked fine or their end. This is the only site that when I log in my pass code...I get a blank page or Error Please contact your administrator with error code: log 1403
Firefox is constantly freezing with spinning ball too! I tried downloading the latest Adobe Flashplayer but that doesn't help either.
I used to love both browsers but now I am getting fed up.
Any suggestions for me out there? Anyone else encountering these problems as well?

Your ISP may be re directing your browser to use Yahoo.
A different DNS server can prevent that.
Quit your browsers.
Open System Preferences / Preferences then select the Network tab. Click the Advanced tab then click the DNS tab.
Click +
Enter these addresses exactly as you see them here.

Hello, my problem is this: in my laptop I cant open my e-mails, or any other folder, I mean, I can usually get into my mail but when I click on an email that does not open, and firefox update, this only happens on my laptop, HELP PLEASE!

I too am having a similar problem, I run on Mac OX 10.3.9 using Firefox 2.0.0.20, but when I open up I am told to up date as I am now insecure. When trying to you date kept being told "currupt image". now where on this site seems to answer this problem.

MozCancelFullScreen() not working and firefox not exiting fullscreen even though this function was called on document

I have a container which gets into full screen mode using mozRequestFullScreen() API but I want to get back to non-fullscreen mode after one of my custom event is fired.
As soon as my custom event is fired, I call mozCancelFullScreen() API to exit full screen but this seems to be not working. Firefox is not exiting fullscreen even though this function was called on document.
I have to press "Esc" to get into non-fullscreen mode.
I am uding Firefox 21.0 version.

Try changing the batteries on the keyboard or see if the keyboard has some sort of reset available.

You can only restore them from a backup. This has occurred because you are sharing an iCloud account. ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, that way you can each manage your own mail, contacts, calendars, documents etc and avoid unintentional deletions and unwanted editing. If there is information you wish to share between you, this can be done with a secondary account.
Having separate iCloud accounts, doesn't mean you have to have separate iTunes accounts, so whilst you keep your personal data separate, you can continue to share music, apps, books, TV shows, movies etc.

I keep running the firefox update but the next time I click on my firefox icon it opens an older version and asks me to update. What is going on?

I downloaded and ran the update to Firefox. It said it was successful and then the welcome page etc. came up. However, after I had closed down and started up again the "old" version came up when I clicked on the Firefox icon with the usual comment that I have an old version and should update. I have tried this three times with the same result. I have a Compaq Presario 2200 laptop.
What am I doing wrong?

If you use the www.google.com/firefox site as home page that previous Firefox 3 versions use as the home page then you can ignore the message about not using the latest Firefox version on that page. 
Google no longer seems to maintain that page. 
The text about not running the latest Firefox version is in the code of the www.google.com/firefox site that previous Firefox 3 versions use as the home page and it looks that Google no longer maintains that page. 
Current Firefox 4+ versions no longer use that Google website as the home page, but use the build-in about:home page as the home page. 
Google assumes that you use an older Firefox version if you still visit that site and warns you that you use an older Firefox version and suggests to update. 
You can use another page as the home page like about:home or www.google.com or www.google.com/ig (iGoogle).

When I try to use the print/save as pdf option, I get a scripting error and Firefox usually freezes.

On my MacBook Pro running OS 10.5.8 and Firefox 3.6.13, I am trying to save documents as pdfs under the print window, I get a scripting error and Firefox usually freezes/becomes nonresponsive. This happens every time I tried to perform this task.

This is a fresh install of Windows 7. It is installed on virtual environment on my mac mini using the parallels virtualization application.
I purchased the windows version of dream weaver CS 6 through an online website which I tried to install to my new windows instance. This is the academic version of the Dreamweaver application with a perpetual license that I am trying to install.
I verified my eligibility through adobe which gave me a link to download the CreateiveCloud Set-up program. I downloaded the install program in my windows environment and program and the gave the above error message. Below is a copy of my computers specs.
