Hi Folks,
Please help me as I have been trying this for hours. I have read the discussions but I still am having problems.HELP ME!!
I have MacBook Pro 10.6.8, itunes 9 and I am trying to hook my ipad mini to sync some videos.
I read that you need 9 in Itunes or late
Unfortunately, I can't even update itunes manually as it won't allow me, an error message pops and the check the updater system and it say that I don't have anything to update. It also states that I have to be connected to the internet, which I obviously am. I have some videos that I need to upload off my mini.
Is there ways to do this easily?

The only solution will be to upgrade to a newer version of iTunes. You need at least iTunes 10.7 to sync to your iPad mini; iTunes 9 will not work.
Either download iTunes from the iTunes tab above, if you wish to use iTunes 11, or download iTunes 10.7 from here:

if you prefer the older version You don't have to trash your current iTunes; the new version will install right over the existing version, though of course it's always a good idea to have a good backup just in case something would go wrong.
If you encounter problems installing from the standalone installer, post details as to where it breaks down and we can probably help from there.

I'm not sure why this would happen. But I think I did see another post a week or two ago about this. Have you tried rebooting your computer and resetting your iPad.
To reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Are you attempting to sync music from your iTunes Music Library on your PC?
What options do you have set on the Music Tab for your iPad in iTunes?
What happens when you sync?

IPad Mini Retina not syncing with iTunes

My iPad Mini Retina has not been syncing with iTunes for some time.
I have reset it - by holding down the home and power key. I am using the new Macbook Air 2014 - because it has crashed on a few occasions it has also been restarted recently.
I am running IOS 7.1.2 on the Mini and 11.3 on the Mac Air. It has stopped at various parts but the last few times has been stopping at Step 4 of the sync. A few people seem to have had this issue but I have not found a resolution yet.

I just recently bough a new iPad mini, gen 3 (I think). I am trying to connect my new iPad to iTunes to upload some files onto it, however iTunes will not recognize my device. I have iTunes 11.1, windows 8.1, and my iPad is on ios 7.0.4.
I am not getting any error messages, but instead of giving me an option in itunes, my computer automatically opens up my ipad in a browser window instead. The "iPad" menu button never apears in itunes, and it will not sync with my ipad.
I have tried redowloading iTunes, as well as reseting my ipad.

Recently installed iTunes 11.4. But now, I am not able to sync my iPhone 5S and iPad Mini with it. Apple has to have a solution with this.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

No, it does not. It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer. The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

IPad Mini / iMessage not syncing

Morning,
Just noticed for the second time that my iPad Mini isn't updating iMessage, I had this problem last weekend.
It has all the threads in there from about 2 days ago, now last time this happened when i replied within them outdated threads on the iPad Mini it started a new message thread for the other person on there device. My new ipad Mini will not sync with my contacts from my Mac?

Please help, I have tried many things but nothing fixes that fact that I cannot get my contacts to sync from my Mac across to my iPad mini.

I fixed my own problem - so excited... On the iPad go to settings then mail, contacts, calendars opened icloud and turned on icloud on for contacts. Re-synced iPad with Mac and *hey presto* all my contacts are there.

ITunes to iPad Home Sharing not syncing all music

I have a new iPad (the one just released; iPad 4?) and an older MacBook (about 3 years old or so). When I open iTunes and set up Home Sharing on the MacBook, then open the Music app on my iPad and enable Home Sharing, not all of my music shows up. Some of it (around 10% maybe) appears. It seems to be a random selection.
Anyone know what might be going on here?

I find the home sharing can be a little finicky at times. Reboot the ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
Rebooting your macbook might work as well.
Rebooting the wifi router by unplugging it for 5-10 minutes.
