Hello, i have 2 2006 macbooks that have palmrest chips. One is black and the other is white. the lack one also has a chip in the top left corner of the screen. I have heard of people getting the replaced for free bacause of faulty construction and wear and tear. Will apple replace the palmrest fro free? What about the chip on the top left of the screen? The optical drives dont work on either too. How can you fix that? Thanks!

The only one who can answer this question is the Apple Genus after the MacBook has been inspected.

My Late 09 Macbook has a loose video cable. Will Apple fix it for free?

The screen randomly freezes up unless I push the screen slightly forwards or backwards. I'm assuming that this is due to a loose video cable. Will Apple fix it for free? I've tried disassembling it but I can't seem to locate the right screwdriver for some of the screws.

And even if it was in warranty, disassmbling it may have voided it.

If need more details on how they broke: the white, thick strip around the meeting point of the wire and headphone jack input came off, and first the left side stopped working then the right side.

If you have ruined two sets, I suspect it is the way you are treating them. From what you describe it sounds like undue strain is being put on the jack, like maybe you are unplugging them by pulling the wire instead of grasping the jack. Or maybe the phone is allowed to dangle from the cord.
At any rate, if they replace them, and only Apple will be the judge on this, you should pay attention to any possible undue strain you are putting one the cord.

If you have applecare or if your phone is still under warrinty if they are not working correctly , call apple support for your product, tell them the issue and they will send you a new set.

My boyfriend bought me the latest iPod touch for Christmas 2011. I've had it 4 months, yesterday I put it on the coffee table round my mates and my mate accidentally knocked it off (table was no higher than half a metre), when I picked it up I realised there is a crack in the screen. I know apple give you a year warrantee on all iPods but my boyfriend never bought the extended warrantee. As I've only had my iPod touch 4 months will apple fix it for free or will I have to pay?
