I Have 2 Accounts, How Do I Cancel 1 Of Them ?

When I bought my 'Bose Sounddock' I got 30 free songs, just before I got my .mac account. So now I have 2 itunes accounts, one is '@yahoo' and the is my '.mac' one (@mac) ! I since found that i could have changed my @yahoo account to a @mac one instead of opening a second account.
I will change the @yahoo acc. ID name to @mac, so I can bring my 26 song credits over to my @mac acc. But first you must tell me, how do cancel my existing @mac account ???

You can't cancel an account as it's needed to authorize purchased music when changeing to another computer.
Just keep both account - they will co-exist hassle free on a single computer.

If your CC was banned for fraudulent activity, you will need to use another CC. If the account was disabled, try changing the password to enable it at : https://appleid.apple.com
Otherwise, try contacting the iTunes store via : https://expresslane.apple.com , choosing iTunes and then iTunes store and from there selecting the topic as it pertains to your query.

Or you can simply use the Restore option of Disk Utility to clone the drive to the backup:

Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
Select the destination volume from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea!
I just take the route that I believe minimises any risk of something blowing up server side, and whilst it may well automatically disconnect, it only takes a few seconds to disconnect before connecting to the new account, and just eliminates that risk of a load of errors popping up :P

Simple answer:
do not use the email address when sending or replying or forwarding emails. Sending is not automatic, you have to generate the email and click on a Send button.
You could use an smtp server that will not allow sending using the incorrect server for the email address, so that it cannot send, but if you accidentally use the email address you may get an error message, but at least the email will not be sent. Do this here:
Tools > Account Settings for the mail account.
bottom right Outgoing Server - select one that will not accept sending using wrong email address
OR
in Outgoing Server(SMTP) select the server you are using for that account
click on 'Edit'
deliberately make an error in the server name - remove the port details etc.
So the details are wrong and cannot send.

If you have both accounts set up, once your in your default gmail account, click Menu (the spot with 4 horizontal lines) and then touch "Accounts". This should bring up a screen allowing you to select the account that you want to view.

You don't have to do anything with the first iPod that you don't use anymore. If you are planning on keeping it, put in a drawer in your house and forget about it.
You don't need a second account to use with the new iPod. I use one Appl e ID and iTunes library for two iPods, and two iPad. I have different content on all four devices. You can select exactly what you want to sync to each device and it can be different content on all devices.

I'm afraid you can't merge IDs. You can enter more than one iCloud account to a device but only the first one you add will actually sync. You need to have the same account as the primary account on each Mac or device.
