I have 2 apple ID and I need to get rid of one to use icloud on my iphone and my ipad. Any suggestion?

Hi Pierre,
There's no way to merge them yet, so all you can do now is make 1 of them the master ID for iCloud. You have to continue to use the other for previous iTunes, Mac App Store updates. Have you read:

Some how I end up with two apple ID's and I need to get rid of one. How can I do that?

Contact apple support, let them know you want to cancel your apple ID, they will escelate the call and verify a few things and will cancel it upon your agreement.
(This will make u lose all history of purchases, etc so please think carefully before doing so)

  • How do i set up apple account on iphone to use icloud between my iphone and ipad

To set up iCloud on the iPhone and iPad, ensure your software for these devices is up to date.  Once it is, see the following article - http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/

  • How do I continue to use Mail on my MacBook2? i use iCloud on my iPhone and iPad but cannot receive my Mail account on my older MacBook.

how do I continue to use Mail on my MacBook2? i use iCloud on my iPhone and iPad but cannot receive my Mail account on my older MacBook. I have followed the iCloud/move link as suggested but it doesn't give me the continue to use Mail option. Any help gratefully received.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

  • My iphone 4 was master reset and i need to get the stuff off of my icloud and on to my phone

I accidentily locked myself out of my iphone 4 when i changed the password and i needed to get in to it so i had a friend of mine do a master reset so that i could get in to it. But they didnt know that i had an icloud account already so they made a new account and downloaded stuff that they knew that i had on to my phone again along with some new stuff. i have been using it for a while now but i want to get the stuff that i had on it before it got eraced back on it. is there a way that i can get the stuff off of my old account on to my phone without having to erase what i have on it now?

If you want to merge the iCloud data from the other account with your current account, you can try saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep on your phone to the camera roll, then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password when prompted and choose Delete from My iPhone (your data will still be in iCloud).  Then sign into the old account to retrieve your data.  Once it's on your phone, save any photo stream photos from the old account that you want to keep to the camera roll, then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password and choose Keep on My iPhone.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, sign into your new account again and choose Merge with iCloud.

  • Does anyone else have two Apple IDs? I can't get rid of one of them. It's associated with my iCloud account and I can't fix it. The password doesn't work.

So, apparently I have two Apple IDs associated with my iPhone. One is an old aol address that got hacked and was shut down. Even aol doesn't recognize the email address anymore, and the password doesn't work. It's associated with my iCloud account, so now I can't access that account. My other Apple ID is with everything associated with my iPhone and everything works just fine. But now I can't get to my iCloud stuff. Has this ever happened to anyone else. The guy at the Apple store says he's never heard of it.

Does the alert refer to "Local Items?"

  • I have a duplicated photo album in my pictures and i need to get rid of it.

I recently backed my iphone up and synced it, and it duplicated my cameral roll album. someone please help me get rid of it. PLEASE!

Someone should create a diagram for this...
    (1) If the home page in the settings dialog is being ignored when you click the Home button or open a new window using Ctrl+n, an extension is the most likely culprit. Open the Add-ons page using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. The one that is modifying your home page may not have Yahoo anywhere in its name, so disable everything nonessential or unrecognized.
    (2) If you change the home page and it sticks for the rest of your session when you click the Home button or open a new window using Ctrl+n, but changes back when you exit and restart Firefox, check for a user.js as described in this article: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].
    (3) If you get Yahoo! any time you click the Firefox icon on your desktop or task bar, but not when you click the Home button or open a new window using Ctrl+n, check your shortcut to see whether it was "hacked".
Right-click > Properties > Shortcut tab, the Target (for 64-bit Windows) should be the following, no more, no less:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

  • I have 2 apple ID's, how do i get rid of one?

I am really confused with the whole apple ID concept. I believe i have 2 apple ID's. One i had set up for my daughter and her ipod and one i thought was mine. Though my phone seems to have the ID i used for my daughter always in as default. I tried to change my personal ID and i lost all my contacts, so i had to go back. Can I just get rid of the ID i set for myself???? Im confused

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud too.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photostream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
I wouldn't really recommend using the same iCloud account, your contacts, calendars etc will all become merged and when one of you adds or deletes data, those changes will also occur on the other device.

Was your airport express purchased recently?
    Was it new or used?
Has it been set to extend an existing network?
You can always try resetting the airport express by unplugging it and pressing the little button on the underside with a stretched out paperclip for roughly 30-45 seconds then try plugging it in again.
Once you've reset the airport express, you'll want to walk through the setup process from a Mac or Windows computer using Apple's Airport Setup Utility.

  • Can I use iCloud on my iPhone and iPad only? I have not updated my Mac to Lion.

I haven't upgraded to Lion for a couple reasons. Can I use iCloud without having Lion on my Mac?
    Thanks!

Many thanks for your prompt reply. I did indeed check that my ID was the same on both devices but I have just decided to re-enter my Account name and password on my iPhone under Settings/iCloud and this time suddently it created a Photo Stream album on my iPhone under Photos/Albums that did not exist before and I now have 43 identintical pictures on both my iPad and my iPhone so I don't know what magic you have but it worked and all is now well. Many thanks indeed from an admirer in the UK!

  • I want to  use iCloud  between iMac, iPhone and iPad

On the iPad and iPhone tap Settings > iCloud

Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    Hopefully everything will sync now.

  • How do I edit my list of www addresses that show up when I put a w in the Internet address field? I need to get rid of one.

When the first Firefox screen appears, there is a long rectangular box at the top to put the Internet address into. If you put a w in that box, you automatically show a list of Internet addresses that I previously used (apparently based upon number of uses, most used first).
In that list which appears, I have an address in which I made a mistake of one character. I want to get rid of that address with a mistake in it.
How can I get rid of that erroneous address?

  • In downloading an application, an icon called "Speech Feedback" has popped up on my desktop. and I can't get rid of it. It will not be trashed, and I can't find the app. among my applications.

After downloading an application, an icon called "Speech Feedback" has appeared on my desktop.  I do not want it and can not get rid of it. Please help.

Go  to System Preferences and click the Speech icon . When the next screen opens look in the upper portion of that screen for "Speakable Items". Change the setting from "On" to "Off". Now the icon of the desktop should disappear. If not, restart your MacBook Pro.

  • Two Apple IDs: Need to get rid of one

I ended up with two Apple IDs because of a typo I didn't notice for a few weeks.
The ID I have been using has an error in it (email address is missing a letter)
In my haste to fix things, I ended up creating a 2nd account/ID, and while the "email" is right, all my apps/puirchses/ipod touch and Itunes software and store are all tied to the "account/email" with the error in it.
How do I get this fixed, wihtout losing all my content and purchases that have been done under the "wrong email"?
So, how do Ichange that messed up email address, when the "corrected" one (the one created trying to fix the old one) still exists as a 2nd Apple ID?

No way to do what you want.  Since both emails (whether mistyped or not) are in use as AppleIDs, you cannot replace the mis-typed email with the correct one.  Only an email that is not already in use as an AppleID can be used to replace an email in use as an AppleID.
You can get a new email address and use it to replace the mistyped email, so at least that AppleID has a valid and working email.  Use https://appleid.apple.com to log in under the manage section and replace the mis-typed primary email address with a working email address.
