You should also be able to access your docs (even without the Pages app on your iMac) by logging into iCloud.com and using the Pages for iCloud beta app via your browser.
(By the way your iPad uses iOS and not OS X)

You should transfer any purchases from iphone regularly: File>Transfer Purchases , if they fail to be transferred when you sync.
You buy one and only one download. It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your purchases.

Because that is not a feature of the iPhone (or of most phones). If someone does not answer when you call, it means they do not want to or cannot talk to you at that time. They could be on another call or they could be simply busy doing something else. Why does it matter which?

See if this works.
Quit the Safari app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I had the exact same thing happen ... for the second time. I'm done renting movies on Apple TV that I cannot watch, and don't get my money back. I have a strong Internet connection, and about 10 minutes into a movie and it stops and says that the movie will be ready to view in 55 hours. Rediculous ... and frustrating. Ever since the last IOS update, my Iphone 5c has been acting weird. The time is always off; It says that its 9:30 in the morning when it's actually 2pm. I try to fix it, but it just goes back to not working. Please help!!

I've tried manually setting the time, but it just goes back to what it was before. If I send a text, it sends and then disapears. I can't see what I wrote! It's not hacker or a virus. You are experiencing what a number of users of iOS 5 are experiencing now - sluggish or less than perfect iPad performance. It seems that for some of us - memory management has gotten a little out of whack with this most recent update. Some of the basic troubleshooting steps that you can try are ....
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

My website is not formatting correctly in Firefox only on one computer (it is ok on others). I have cleared cashe and cookies.

Firefox does not see the background images or the flash. Also it seems to be ignoring the v-bulletin skin in our forum.

Those solutions did not help but I figured out what was causing it.
1. Right click and select View Page Info
2. Click on Media tab
3. There was a box checked that said " block images from website name"
4. I unchecked that and now it works fine.

First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of your data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
To locate large files, you can use Spotlight as described here. That method may not find large folders that contain a lot of small files.
You can also use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Proceed further only if the problem hasn't been solved.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal.

Have Adobe CC Complete for Students & Teachers but apps are telling me I'm on a free subscription

I have had problems renewing my CC subscription, for the first month of renewing I lost my promo subscription because customer care couldn't give it back after suggesting that I cancel the current subscription. For the second month, my subscription couldn't be renewed no matter what card I used and had to have it cancelled again and get a new subscription. This time the customer service agent didn't remove the free subscription on my account and now all my apps and subscriptions are being reported as being on a free subscription!! I'm limited to 2GB of storage, edge inspect is reporting I need to upgrade if I try to add more than 1 device, typekit is telling me I'm on a free plan and photoshop and indesign is asking me to upgrade. Customer service is asking me to talk to technical support when it is clearly an account issue.
CC is reporting I have only 2Gb of space when I'm supposed to have 20Gb
Typekit is saying I have a free plan as well
And edge inspect is also asking me to upgrade:
Please, please help. I'm 1 week into my subscription and customer service is effing up big time.

People, as we head into the weekend, this issue is still not resolved! I still don't understand why it is so damn difficult to just remove the trial version from my profile!
If you are unable to remove the trial version from my profile, can you at least deactivate the Creative Cloud one year membership from this profile so that I can buy a one year membership using another Adobe account? Will that solve this problem? Pls ensure you don't screw this up....I don't wanna end up with 2 one year subscriptions, and then get billed twice a month.
And yes, if you deactivate the one year CC subscription I purchased 7 days ago, I want a full refund too!

CS11800 - Can I have a SPAN port for my IDS box?

I have a network design that calls for a few CS11800s and it's smaller brother. The security team has asked if this content switch has a SPAN port that is availble so we can hang our IDS box off.

I am not extremely familiar with the CS11xxx series and its configuration options, but I can tell you that from experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and non-Cisco IDS devices a SPAN port is not always the best solution. In some instances I have had to disable packet learning in the SPAN session, and in other cases I have had to forego using SPAN at all and settled for an uplink to a hub that connected the IDS device and my router(s). This is especially true if the IDS device needs to be a member of the same VLAN as the traffic it is monitoring in order to send RST packets back onto the segment.
I have researched this issue on my own and even opened TAC cases for a solution, but have received solutions ranging from "There's no reason this shouldn't work" to "You can not set up a SPAN session for IDS purposes." My recommendation would be (even though it does decrease performance a bit) to implement the hub solution, regardless of the CS11800 capabilities. This will prove to remove any potential X factors in the SPAN functionality and make your life a lot easier.
