I have 2 computers, an Iphone 3gs and an IPad, is there any way to sync all devices so they are the same?
I'm sure I asked this question before. How can one sync their ipad, iphone with more than one computer. I spend 6 mth in Canada and 6 months in the states and don't really want to haul around a desktop computer. Any ideas?
Mmm... Let's say the way that the devices in the US are the way you want them to be. Now you want to sync the device to a computer in Canada. This is the hard or easy part depending how you look at it. Yes, you can sync and make a backup for the devices to the computer in Canada. But you will lose the photos, music, and videos that you have in iTunes in the States. What you will need to do is copy the folder for those items onto a flash drive and place that folder in ITunes Canadian computer. Also you won't be able to use the app store accounts from on country to another.
I'm sure there has to be an easier way to do this and I hope someone will chime in. I'm just thinking off the top of my head on how to do this...

When I went to sync my iPhone, I accidently hit restore and it made my iPhone have all of the settings of my iPod Touch, erasing my iPhone pictures and contacts. Is there any way to get everything back?
Not to doubt you, but something sounds fishy. I can see accidentally clicking Restore, but to load your Touch's information you would have had to select your Touch's backup file after restoring, which would be hard to do by accident -- unless your iPhone and Touch have the same name?
In any case, your iPhone should have its own backup file on your computer. You can click Restore again and this time select the iPhone's backup file (there should be a device name and date associated with the pop-up window at the end of the restore process). This process will erase your iPhone, reload the OS, and then when you select your backup file then all your iPhone settings, data, sync options, etc. will be re-loaded, including your media (if you auto-sync ... if you manually manage music and video on the iPhone then you'll need to re-select the items you want loaded onto it). -
I plugged in my phone to my macbook to transfer images. I pulled ou the usb cord without ejecting it properly and all the pictures from my phone got deleted and didint get transfered. Is there any way I can recover my photos They are really important.
Plug it back in and restore it from the backup that is made everytime you sync your phone. iPhone forums are here:

I was told this morning that iPhone 5 , now has iOS 6.0.2 , WHY does iPad 3 ,iPad 4 ,ONLY have iOS 6.0.1 , when there're the same systems ??
The iPad Mini also has iOS 6.0.2. The update corrects a wifi problem on the Mini and iPhone 5.

How do i get my contacts to sync so they are the same on my computer, Iphone and Icloud?
from over the years I had a lot of information in my address book that was not relevent anymore, was incorrect or incomplete or a dupluicate. I went through all of them on my mac computer and updated all of the information. As soon as I pluged my iphone in to sync it I ended up with more duplicates, some contacts on my phone not on my computer and vise versa. I checked Icloud to make sure that one was ok but it is different from both my computer and my phone. Now I have 3 different versions of my contacts. How do I sync all three so they are the same so I can start cleaning it up again? Does i matter where I make the changes (phone, computer or cloud)? After I clean everthing up again how do I make sure that the most current and correct contacts are in all three places? Please help it making me a bit crazy at the moment.
That's your problem. You must have 10.7.5 or later installed to have iCloud. Upgrade your computer:

B. Upgrading to Lion

It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

I have an older iPhone (3gs) and need to upgrade to a newer phone (4S). I need to get my NOTES, CALENDAR, CONTACTS, PICTURES, etc backed up on iTunes so I can get that data loaded onto the new phone. But not sure how to do that. When I open iTunes it has a button that say "Back Up iPhone", but I'm not sure what that does. When I go into the sync options it say I have another user account and asks me if I want to merge of replace. I'm assuming it's trying to tell me I have an older iTunes Library, but don't know that. Geez, maybe people over 60 shouldn't have iPhones, iTunes just bafles me.

My iphone / mac no longer recognize they are the same Itunes library. When I try to sync my phone now, it wants to erase everything and replace it with the computers itunes library. I have purchased items on the phone I don't want to erase them from the phone. The phone backs up fine, but won't sync.
File>Devices>Transfer Purchases from "iPhone" and then sync.

i have restored my iphone 3gs and put my sim card in it but it will no longer activate. my power button is broken so i cannot turn it off. what can i do to fix this??
Then the SIM may have failed. Try removing and re-inserting it. If that doesn't fix it, you will have to get the SIM replaced by your carrier.

I just bought an new ipad mini with wifi and cellular. Is there any way to send text messages to people and contacts that do not have iphones such as friends with blackberrys or a samsung galaxy smartphone from this ipad. Everytime I try to send a message to a person that does not have an Apple product ( Iphone or Ipad ) it comes up saying contact is not registered for iMessage and wont send it. I can only send them a message from my iPhone 4 instead. Do I have to install a new App from the App store to send these non iMessage cell users a message?

I now have 5 devices that access the "cloud" via Match. I also have 3 computers that need to be authorized. Is there a way to authorize all these computers/devices in such a way to allow everything to access and sync to the cloud?
I had a problem with a 5.0.3 project that would cause 5.0.4 to crash. Apple asked for a copy of the project and later told me it was because there were some empty text layers. Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.
In my case I still had 5.0.3 on another Mac and could clean up the project. If empty text layers might be the problem, do you know someone with an earlier version who could open it and remove the empty layers? I'd be willing to give it a try if you'd want to send me the project.

Facebook security is handled by Facebook, not the phone or Apple. Contact them.

I have an iPhone 5s and in my iTunes music library have the songs checked that I want downloaded onto my phone. Instead of doing this, it is syncing all songs whether they are checked or not even tho I have the "sync only checked songs" box checked. So basically it's syncing all of the songs when I just want the checked ones on. This is very frustrating.
When your device is connected, check the tabs at the top ("Summary" "Apps" "Music," etc. Under the Music one, check to see if "Sync Music>entire music library" is checked. If it is, that may be why all the songs are syncing.
