I have 2 displays running off the same video card.

I have 2 monitors, 48" Plasma tvs. I'm running a Mac Pro. With a video card upgrade, we ran the video signal to 1 monitor. It ran fine. Then we bought a splitter and split the HDMI signal to run to 2 tvs. The Monitors began todisconnect and reconnect from the Mac Pro. We have changed the HDMI cables to Monster cables, shortened the wires to make them as short as possible, and nothing will stop the monitors disconnects and reconnects from the Mac Pro. We even unplugged 1 monitor and the other monitor STILL disconnects and reconnects. But, when we removed the splitter, it works fine. So we replaced the splitter and it still didn't work. My thoughts are either the splitter is the problem, or we need something to boost the signal. What are you thoughts? Is this even possible?

If you are using a 5x70 card (you didn't specify the card) then just get two mini-displayport to HDMI adaptors and connect the two TVs. You shouldn't be trying to split the HDMI signal from a single port (at least with a passive splitter). And you don't need expensive cables either (a good place for cables is www.monoprice.com). Configure the monitors with the Displays preference pane to run mirrored and you will have the same effect you were trying to achieve with a splitter, i.e., both monitors showing the same picture.
Note, for only two monitors on 5x70's I don't believe a active adaptor is necessary.

this is what you need to do to exclude everything apart from desktop.
on time machine preferences, click on Options
click plus sign, on the new window, click macintosh HD
do a Control + A then deselect users then click okay
go to options again, plus sign, go to users, control +A then deselect your user account
go to options again, plus sign, go to your user account, control + A, deselect desktop
start the back up.

How do I use the same SubVIs in the different VIs? Those VIs have to run at the same time.

If I have two VIs.And both of them has the same SubVIs.
For example
VI1 contains:
SubVI1: Initialize Instrument
Data acquisition
SubVI2: Close Instrument
VI2 contains:
SubVI1
Monitoring the Board and VI1
SubVI2
When I run those two VIs at the same time, why can't I use SubVI2(which is in the VI1) to close the Instrument?
The function has been run correctly, but it didn't work. The VI1 did closed, but the instrument didn't closed, neither did data acquisition.
In order to close instrument, I have to run SubVI2(which is in the VI2).
What I want to do is that when I run SubVI2(which is in the VI1), then, the instrument closed and data acquisition stopped.
Is there any problem between the thread? Or anything wrong with SubVI's VI property?

That makes me think about the number of doing init & close. My project calls on that there must be a strict requirements about the number of calling those function in one process.
That is to say,when running them, if VI1 and VI2 are in different process but not in the same one, the program is going to run successfully. But now, VI1 and VI2 are threads which in the same process, so my project's strict requirements makes them run failue.I used SPY++ to analysis, and found those two threads are actually in one process.

Do Anchor controller and foreign controller have to run on the same code version?

I have a 4402 anchor controller and 8 4402/4404 foreign controllers all running on code 4.2.61.0 for 1 year without any problem. All guest users are connected to the foreign controllers and then tunneled back to the anchor controller. Right now I need to replace a 25-AP license 4402 foreign controller with a 50-AP license 4402 controller. The new controller is running on code 7.0.116.0. I am wondering if the new controller can join the mobility anchor group so that guest users won't lose connectivity after the swap.
Please advise. Thank in advance.

How do you fix a problem where document pages open that are too big for the display and runs off the end of the monitor? The borders are off the monitor so there is no window edge to grab and adjust.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

If you mean that is one persone purchases an app it appears on all device then on each device go to Settings>Store and turn off automatic downloads.

Multiple Libraries for Video running at the same time on one PC

Hi Everyone -
I want to clarify this is for VIDEO files, not music for my 6 ATV's on the network.
Problem: I have well over 1000 VIDEOS in my iTunes Library, and I am wanting to have multiple libraries availible at the same time; not just whichever the computer has open.
We have several atv's on the network and I would like to take my video organization one step further; instead of scrolling forever in the atv menus for the video you want; I could make several libraries all availible at the same time.
Such as:
Kids Library
Workout Library
Parents Library
etc
This in turn would shrink the primary library and have less videos to sort by. I know how to create the Libraries, I just dont know how to have them all running at the same time.
Infastructure:
Windows 7 Ultimate with Drobo B800FS (16TB of storage) all connected to Cisco 3660 Gig switch with multiple atv's hardwired back.

iTunes can only open one library at a time. If you have multiple computers, or virtual machines, each could be serving a different library.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

every IP based connection has a gateway that tells a device where to send packages that belong to the subnet the connection is in.
Then there is a (one, and only one!) default gateway that tells the device where to send all packages that belong to no subnet of any connection. On OSX this is normally bound to the primary network device (the one that is on first place in the network configuration).
So there is no problem having more than one network connection open. In your case, though, the WiFi connection would probably be in the same subnet as the wired connection. This doesn't pose a problem per se, but just is a bit senseless. It doesn't have an impact on networking, though.

I have a 5870 Video card in a 2012 Mac Pro using 2 power connections off the motherboard. No available power connections right now.
I need a spare power connection off the motherboard to run an Avid HDX card, (fan only), so will the 5870 Video card run ok split (Y) off one power connection?
I've got the cable, but I didn't want to just do it and ruin something.

I have 2 MacBooks Air, 1 ipad mini and one iPhone 4S running on the same network, and they are all connected to the net and function well.
So I cleaned up the ipad completely, installed the latest firmware and reinstalled my apps : no connection.
I tried all things of resets and forgets. No result.
I have been fondling with my Airport Extreme 5 , but that did not help much.
This morning I went to a neighbor , hooked my ipad air on his network, typed the password and the thing all worked fine.
I have tried to connect the ipad air as an ethernet client, but that did not work. „Not enough power“ was the statement

Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work. Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,
