Intermittent jitter/lag when gaming (PC)
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help... I seem to experience intermittent jitter/lag in games, my average ping is around 70 which I already think is relatively high, this can fluctuate to 120-150 on regular occasions. The majority of the time after gaming for a while it seems the jitter/ping increases to an almost unplayable level, this doesn't ever seem to subside until I restart my router. I've read many of the posts on here previously about jitter/ping but none seem to directly relate to this issue. The problems started when I moved house and joined Sky Fibre... Previously I had been living at another address with BT and had no problems (this isn't an aside about Sky vs BT) I'm just trying to isolate the issues. At my old address I was pretty close to the exchange - about 20m I'd say but this shouldn't make a difference to jitter/ping to such an extent I assume? My PC is relatively new (1 year old) its not ailing or full of random junk as a computer collects with time and like I say I had no issues at a previous address. It's hard to capture the exact moments my connection goes but I've been using pingtest.net, most of the time I will get a ping of around 15ms Jitter 4-6ms and B*/A rating, however I did measure it once at around ping 50ms jitter 40-50 and line quality of D. I'm using a cabled connection from the router to the PC. Below are my current router statistics, as I say its hard to catch it when it happens, as the intervals are probably hourly but if anyone could help with a plan to getting to a solution that would be great. I have the same issue when im gaming on My xbox one, I too moved house and since then its just bad. Ping is over 100 always, download is averaging about 7mbps, upload speed is 0.10mbps average, packet loss fluctuates, latency is always around 180 ms. WHAT CAN WE DO................... I have 3 email accounts on my mac. Often more than one account will receive the same email. If I open the email on any one account it appears as opened on each account that received the identical email. This problem only began with the installation of Mavericks. I have contacted Apple phone support and removed each account and then added them again. The problem persists. I have talked with several other friends who have the same complaint. This is particularly annoying as these accounts have different users. Is there a fix? Thanks.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -

The recording works in Notes, but not when I open Webcam and try to record from there. video recording works fine. I have had this computer less than a month and I am having a couple of problems with it. Still loving it though.
Hello schae731: Welcom to HP Forum and your new Touchsmart. You need to contact HP Direct Support on line your Touchsmart comes with one year warranty so use it why you can. You can contact them through your HP Support Assistant or on line. They will help you with trouble shoot the web-cam software. Goto your computers model and make support web-site. They will also help you with your other issues as well.
I am using the older version software so I won't be much help. Please repost if HP direct support is un able to help you resolve your issues. While you are chatting with them have them check out your computer do it before your 1 year warranty expires. Have fun with your new computer. -

ThanksNoooo! Actually I too had d same prob wit my iPhone 4S. When I connect to my wifi network it won't get connected or it wil be grey scaled! I took it to d istore and since I had warranty they replaced my IPhone. It iPad charger has high volt than ur iPhone charger so when u connect wit it, there is a chance where large amount of current passes thru ur iPhone. So for sure it wil damage ur motherboard and its parts! Many said that iOS 6 or 6.0.1 or 6.1 was d reason for tis wifi prob! But apple never made its mistake wit it's software. If and only if u hav hardware prob u wil hav these sort of wifi prob Bluetooth prob! So best way s to replace ur iPhone!

I have three issues with Creative Cloud
I have three issues with CC:
1. I want to be able to EDIT my work when I don't have income. The desktop model supported this. The cloud model does not, and that is unacceptable.
2. Adobe can keep raising the price, because they will be holding us all hostage. Sure at some point a percentage of CC users would drop off, but all that means is that Adobe can milk the absolute most from us using this model. It's not a vehicle for innovation, it's a vehicle for exploitation.
3. F--- the cloud. I'll be keeping my work on my laptop, thank you very much.what's your home version (click help>about) and was that just a warning so you were able to open the file?

Have an issue regarding library books. My ereader is validated with Kobo account and Adobe Digital Editions account, but I get an error: 'this document is protected bij DRM and isn't available with your Adobe ID'.
same problem for me. I am using abe edition 3 as I don't think 4 can be used with kobo. Book has been downloaded to kobo but it can't be read as it is not authorised.Help please

When I go to finder and view as columns so that the right column will open a preview of the file, I get the endless spinning graphic and when I go to Force Quit, it shows that Finder has stopped responding. When I use Finder in any other view mode, I don't have that issue. This just started today. As far as I know, I haven't done any updates today that would cause the issue. I've restarted a few times. I'm running 10.10 on iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011). I when to updates in the App Store and saw there was an update for 10.10.1 and tried to run it twice now. It starts to install and says I have 7 minutes left and then at about 3 minutes, it just opens all my windows again and acts normally. When I go to "About this mac", I'm still showing 10.10 as the OS. Also, in the App Store, when I click on updates, it shows me 4 updates that I've already installed as ready to install. Not really sure what's going on nor why all the sudden this is an issue, but I use the preview mode in Finder all the time so I would love a fix for this. I've tried logging out and logging in as another user and the same issue with Finder happens with other users as well. I've emptied my trash bin as well.
Step one is to log into a newly created admin user account and see if the problem persists.

Two possibilities, one is you should close apps on the iPad, the other is your internet speed is not able to handle the demands of a high speed device.
To close apps: Double click home button, swipe up to close the apps.
To solve internet problem, contact your provider. Basic internet is not enough for video games and movies. Your router may be old and slow. -
I know many have this issue but i can't find a solution to the problem. i get message saying insuffisiant disk space in the volume iPhoto library and i have plenty of space available. i have the new macbook pro with retina display. i have never seen this message before and i have 2 other macbooks and have had many other also. i am assuming this is a problem with the new macbook retina. does anyone know the exact fix to this issue? i have seen many sugestions to try to fix this issue but none have solved the issue for anyone that i can find in the Apple Support Community. thank for looking into this in advance.
******A true apple fan********Actually your suggestions are the ones that i have tried. i have seen that you have tried to help others with this issue and the only one that i could find that said they found the problem said that it was an ilife update issue and it fixed it and i have no available updates. i know it has to do with something in photo stream because it happens when i create a new library and it is loading the photos but i get the message before i reach the maximum 1000 photos. so i've tried updating, new library(first backing up photos and then deleting them from iPhoto), reinstalling OSX many times, running disc utilities. I called Apple the first day i had this issue and i was the first person to call them for support with the retina display and i actually had it escalated to a senior advisor and we thought we fixed the problem but we did not. i am pretty fluent in dealing with troubleshooting these type of issues and this is the first time i'm reaching out to the community. i figured now that the retina has been out some time now that there would be an obvious answer to this issue. thanks for the quick reply.

I can't seem to get my iMac (late 2009 model) into automatic sleep mode. If I manually put it into sleep I don't have any issues.
I used to solve the issue by running "PleaseSleep" application but that doesn't work anymore since Lion. I now want to fix the underlying problem.
I'm not running any weird background processes and in my energy saver settings I've tagged "put the hard disk to sleep when possible:, "allow power button to put computer to sleep" and "automatically reduce brigthness". All pretty standard.
Is there anyone who can give me some pointers ?Today I solved the same problem for my iMac running Snow Leopard. See https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3008791#15947706. The method may help you, too.
For me it was the DynDNS Updater preventing my iMac from automatically entering sleep mode.
To my knowledge the cause of this sleep problem can only be a peripheral device or a process. So I suggest to first unplug all peripherals and test whether that's the cause. If not, I suggest to terminate one process after another and to test automatic entering of sleep mode after each. Start with user processes; continue with system process if necessary.
At least that's the way I found the offending process. Fortunately, I was able to change the configuration of that process to allow again automatic entering of sleep mode.

Recieved my 3rd iphone 4s due to battery issues and got another dud. While in use, the apps will open and close on there own, email will get deleted while I'm reading them or archived. while looking through my contacts directory, the phone will select a contact creating an outbound call. This is frustrating. Any one else have this issue?
