Here's the issue-I have two iTunes accounts, yet account #1 always comes up when I want to update my apps. This occurs even when account #2 is logged in and has been synced from desktop to iPad. Additionally,Account #2 is logged in on the iPad and yet account #1 prompt appears when updating. Interestingly account #2 functions normal for iTunes purchases but not apps purchases. Any suggestions?
Apps will ALWAYS be tied to the account from which they were purchased. You will always have to update the apps from the account from which they were purchased.

I received £60 worth of vouchers to be used on iTunes. I have scratched off the numbers on each card and it has credited my account to the value of £60. I wish to purchase music online and I would like to know how do I pay it from my credited amount of £60.
One your account is credited, anything you download, including music, apps, videos etc. will be paid for using the money you have added. Your debit card will not be charged at all until you start purchasing things after the credit has ran out. There are many ways to check your current credit balance. Happy spending!

I didn't have my backup assist on when I wrote the paper. I have set it up now. But like everyone stated it is gone, so I am rewriting it now and using this as a learning lesson. Thanks for your help
He meant, do you have a system backup via Time Machine, Carbon Copy Cloner, etc.? That's the shortest way to restore your complete system and data when (not if) your hard drive dies.

HT1495 help i have two itunes accounts i only want one.
I had an iphone touch and I set it up with an itunes account. Later when I set up my iphone (and subsequently my ipad) I used another email address accidentally. Since then I had my main computer reformatted, and lost all of my itunes music (aside from recent purchases) and since my ipod has been irrepairably smashed. Although somehow my phone still has all of my music, the only music I have on my ipad is new items purchased on my iphone.
I have two itunes accounts and in the history I can see all of the purchases, but do not know how to drop them into my current itunes account (with the other apple id).
Hoping for help...You can't. Apple will not allow merging of iTunes accounts. You need to pick one (whichever has the most stuff) and just use that one.
Otherwise, you'll be constantly signing out of one account to sign back in with the other. -
I have a Ipad2, my computer that contains all of my apps, music etc crashed and dosent work. I bought a new laptop, how do I retrieve that iTunes account and or apps, movies etc.
With your new computer, you'll download a fresh copy of iTunes and then authorize iTunes using your Apple ID and Password. Read the following link:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1420
You can then connect your iPad to your new computer via USB cable and transfer your purchases (do not connect your iPad until you have authorized the computer. The music you had in your old iTunes account will not be in your new account as music is stored in a file on your hard drive, which you said has crashed. -

The Sync process is One Way From Computer To Device.

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

I have 3 iTunes accounts and want to merge them into only one of them. I also have money on each account. Not sure how to go about this.
You cannot merge the accounts.
Sorry. -

Hello there, Shellywms09.
The following Knowledge Base article points out why you are receiving that message on your iPad:

Hi judifrom!
I have some links for you that can help shed some light on the subject of gifting through iTunes and Apple IDs. The first can be found in this link:
Gifting - Apple Store (U.S.)
http://store.apple.com/us/help/gifting
and the relevant information in that link can be found right here:
Gift Cards and Certificates are valid for use only in the country in which they were purchased. Only residents of the U.S may redeem gift certificates purchased in the U.S.
You can still help them set up an Apple ID without payment information so that they can download free items through the iTunes store though. The steps for performing that can be found in the following article:
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card

I have an iPhone 4 and plugged it into itunes on my computer for the first time. Only to discover my sister has obviously plugged hers into my itunes account and now I have lost all my photos and numbers. Please help me!!
It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it. -
Do I have to provide a credit card for my childs itunes account, and if I do, can I restrict my childs use of itunes strictly to prepaid itunes cards?
If you only want the free iPhone apps, take a look here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical. This seems to come and go, or only apply to App Stores in specific countries, so you may not see the option for "None" when asked for a payment type.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free content without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)
Alternatively, buy an iTunes card and use that to open your account in the iTunes Store.

My husband wiped out the library on his itunes account and replaced it with mine. Any ideas on how to get it back? Our laptop does not have his library either. only mine.
How exactly did this happen? Were you using separate iTunes libraries on separate user accounts on the laptop?
