I have 2nd gen shuffle, i am using a new USB to connect to my computer but the light does not come on and itunes does not bring it up?

I have a 2nd gen shuffle. I bought a new USB for it at the apple store last week. They said it would work with the the 2nd Gen shuffle. I have the shuffle plugged in to the computer now. It wont light up and itunes is not reconizing it. Please help!

I would bring it back to the Apple Store and have them test it out on one of their one machines to see if it'll work or not there.

We have all our important docs including computer serial numbers. We noticed our computer not respond and files and applications move around. The person who remotely logs or links with our computer thought that we are old folks and knew little about how to discover their act. Tried many times to get rid of it but was not successful. Finally today we hauled our imac to the apple store and explained the need to get rid of remote desktop. All went well and we thought our computer is at a factory installed state. We forgot to start firewall, probably did not disconnect third party help status (apple store third party). Forgot to write down cable provider IP and resulted in using wi fi. Look into system log list and other diagnostics messages and found an mac book pro and went back to see if I can write down the entire message but this time it went blank. system log blank, library logs blank and /var/logs blank and so is user log. Activity monitor froze would not open. We had it clean up in apple store today november 18, 2013. We have an Imac and don't know anyone who owns mac book pro with log message dated on oct 22. The question is how it still hangs around after reset at the apple store and how to get rid of it and if it is possible? greatly appreciated.

The Terminal is letting you type it in. It just doesn't display anything when you do.

An Ipod can be synced with only one ITunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this IPod with the contents of this ITunes library.
Then it asks me if I want to delete and sync.
I am not sure what to do for fear of erasing everything I have put on my Ipod.
I would appreciate if someone could help me out.

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to use iTunes to play the Music in your iPod but which is not in your itunes library. I don't think Apple design iTunes for use in your way. As to put and play music in iPod, the music has to be in iTunes first, so you play music in the iTunes music Library. the window with Ipod music is just to show you which music are already in the Ipod, in case you want to Manually Manage your huge music library.

Which signature style are you talking about?
You can go ahead and try uninstalling and reinstalling it and see if that works for you .

Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them. You will have to delete the apps from the phone and re-purchase them using your Apple ID.

iPad requires Wifi (or 3G /LTE) to connect to the Internet. You cannot connect a USB modem to the iPad.
You can create your own WiFi hotspot through your computer for your iPad to connect to, if your computer supports this functionality. All Wifi Macs and many Wifi PCs do. Check your computer manual for how to do it.

So you have the 13" aluminum notebook that just says "MacBook" on the display, correct?
You can get a new battery for $100 from Other World Computing here.
Alternatively, you can get one through Apple for $130 here.
I personally would go through OWC - they're a highly-recommended third party for these kinds of parts and their batteries work just as well as Apple's.

From what I understand volume Logic is working on a update for itunes 7 for windows.
I don't know of a perfect peice of software personally, but I hear real player can handle most ipods, might try that OR goto iTunes 7 and install a updated volume logic plug in for windows when it becomes avalible

The remote disk on my air can find the cd but bootcamp will not begin installing it. Anyway to do this without buying the damned usb drive?

I don't know first hand if you can use the Remote Disk option with Windows but as of 10.7.2 you can now use BCAssistant to make a bootable USB (thumb drive or external disk) W7 installer with the Boot Camp drivers installed also. Have you tried that yet?

How about it? Seldom used shuffle. Working great in past. Starting to use again only I now have Windows 7 and it is not recognized by computer. I-Tunes however sees it when I reload it from my music library.

The Driver Wizard at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue. The driver is delivered through Windows Update as described in this document.

I entered time machine and wish to exit but the cancel button has no effect and neither does command quit. I have no access to the Apple toolbar to use force quit. How do I get out of this thing?????

I understand that you are trying to update your iPhone but do not see Software Update as an option. The ability to update iOS over Wi-Fi was introduced in iOS 5; it sounds like the iPhone you are currently using may be on iOS 4 or earlier. You can update your iPhone; however, using iTunes on a computer. Please follow the instructions in the Update your device using iTunes section of the attached article to complete this process.

I use foxfire & an automatic update came into my computer on the 29th from Windows defender - now my Firefox will not open, I've removed it & reinstalled & it is still saying that it is not compatible. What can I do.
