I have 40.64 gb listed as movies yet I have no movies on my computer
I have 40.64 Gb listed as movies on my IMAC, and no movies anywgere that are any substancial length. no TV shows, podcasts, Itunes U downloaded films. probably less than 8 GB total. I also have 122.4 GB as Other. What is Other? Thanks!
Hello, try this first & see if it reports differently...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
Reboot & check.
Other is the silliest thing apple's done since the last time.
How much free space is on the HD, where has all the space gone?

Is there a way to move spreads and have the text threads update.
I am laying out a cookbook, and I periodically need to reorder some of the spreads. If I just move them, it looks ok, but when I turn on the text threads, they are all over the place. Not ok. Is there an easy way to do this, or should I just stick with adding a new spread and relinking text boxes each time?
Well, I'm not sure why you think it's not OK to have non-linear threading if the pages look correct. The only problem I can think of is trying to run through the text using the arrow keys and having the thing jump all over.
Is each of your text frames really self-contained so no damgae will be done if you break the threads? There's a sample script that will do just that -- break any story apart into individual unthreaded frames. There are some dangers, though, in that doing that makes ID treat all frames as starting with a new paragraph, so if you have numbered or bulleted lists or first line indents and a paragraph crosses a frame boundary you are going to get a an extra paragraph and an unwanted number or bullet or first line indent. The sample script is called SplitStory.jsx. -
I have tried 3 times to burn a slideshow to IDVD and get the multiplexing msg toward the end. I notice that it skips the slideshow process and goes to the movie burn. Have not movie in the slideshow. Help
I had the same problem and solve it using this sequence. Here you go:
1) Delete all old iDVD projects that you couldn't burn under the same name;
2) Reboot your PC;
3) Quit all open applications (check if any is open at "Force Quit");
4) Go to: Users/Library/Caches and delete folder com.apple.idvd
5) Go to: Users/Library/Preference and delete file com.apple.idvd.lists
6) Insert a blank DVD;
7) Go to "Applications" and open iDVD (don't open it from any previous iDVD project);
8) Select " Create new project" and prepare your project;
9) Go to iDVD Preferences / Advance / Burning Speed: and select 4x ;
10) Go to menu "Advance" and deselect "Encode in Background";
11) At the same above menu, click "Delete encoded projects" and select OK (ignore alert messages);
12) Select "Burn" and... no more problems! -

Why does my mac memory show used 130gb movies, yet i only have 35gb of movies
when i click on "about this mac", on the memory tab, it shows that i have used 130gb on movies, yet i only have a toal of 35gb of movies on my mac, why does it show this and how do i correct it ??
That would be an issue that you need to discuss with the iTunes/MAS support folks. When you sign into your account on the iTunes app on your computer check your purchase history. There is an invoice there for verything that you have purchased. If there is a question about a purchase listed, there is a link to iTunes Support from the invoice.

I've tried to get to support on line to no avail...called the 1-800 number and they keep telling me to go to expresslane.com/itunes/support. i've been billed for 2 movies that were rented...considering I stiil have a credit from the last go-around, where the movies rented kept hanging up or i was billed twice for the same movie...they awarded me 4 credits, of which i have used 3...I still have 1 last credit and they continue to bill for 2 movies, one of which kept hanging up and it took 3 hours to see a 90 minute movie by the time we started and backed up the track seveal times....right on my account from the itunes store it is listed 1 credit remaining....it's not a big deal, but if that's the way they conduct themselves, than i want nothing to do with them in the future!
I am always calling and asking but I will do it again since I did not ask this past month and a half. I have always been told they never have any specials or packages on the Jet packs at least in our area.
That being said, on our neighborhood forum, internet speed and availability has been the hot topic this month. Since everyone is now starting to get high speed unlimited internet access for $60 a month, I'm hoping my post will be moot.

I am trying to assign delegation to a user and I receive the following message.
The delegates settings were not saved correctly. Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.
We are using 2010 for the server and client. There are only specific mailboxes that this is happening for after being migrated from Lotus Notes. The user can use their mailfile fine however it is just the delegation that appears corrupted somehow.
I'm not sure how to fix this. I have checked the access through the security tab in ad and that looks fine.
Any help would be appreciated.I did some more digging and I solved it.
This would be the solution:
In Active Directory Users and Computers
-Click on VIEW
-Click on ADVANCE FEATURES (this is important otherwise you won't see
the complete list in the next steps)
-Click on the USERS container
-Find the problem user's account
-Right mouse the account and click on PROPERTIES
-Click on the SECURITY tab
-In the top box, click on the SELF account
-In the bottom portion of the screen make sure the READ PERSONAL
INFORMATION & WRITE PERSONAL INFORMATION should both be checked for
ALLOW
If you can compare the permissions for 'SELF' with another user you probably should set them accordingly to be safe. I noticed that for the user where setting delegates (SOB) did
not work, more than those 2 permissions were missing.

I have purchased a movie and downloaded it. Next I get a screen that says Terms and Conditions and tells me to read and click on Agree. I cannot find the Agree anywhere in the document. How do I move on and view the movie?
Go to Settings>General>Usage. How much space does it show you have?
If you connect your phone to your computer, what does iTunes say is on your phone? Do you see a large amount of "Other"? If so, you may have a corrupted database. You'll need to sync your phone then restore it as NEW (not from back up) then re-sync your data). -
I have an iMac 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 with 16 GB memory and 1.12 TB storage running Yosemite 10.10.1 & Outlook 2011 for Mac. For a while, sent emails went to a sent folder on the iMac so I have a collection of sent emails there. I have attempted to move those sent emails from the iMac to my email server (IMAP), but without success. Is there a way to move them to a sent box on my server so I can see them on other devices? Go to: Apple > System Preferences > Universal Access and in the Seeing tab make sure that the Display Enhance contrast: is set to Normal.
Alternatly, try holding the ⌃⌥⌘ (control command alt) keys and then pressing the , (comma) key a few times. -

Ok, I have deleted EVERYTHING off my 16gb ipad. Photos, music, apps. All I have are the standard apps. It says I have used 11gb and only have 1.6 left. When I first bought it I had up to 4 movies and lots of apps, no problems. What's going on please!?

Help... Have ate in living room & bedroom & I could works fine on iPhone4 as well as ipad2 wifi. I have home sharing enabled on all but when I rented a movie it was all good & charged but the download took over 24 hours & only in the bedroom.... Please help
The remote app can either automatically find libraries available on a network (with home sharing available) or if you haven't got home sharing enabled, you can manually pair an itunes library with the remote app (using a number that is generated by the app and then typed into the itunes library).
That is why I am so confused, as it seems to be the home sharing that is the problem! -
So I have a file on my desktop and I cannot open it, move it to a folder, or delete it from my mac. I dont know what it has in it, and that makes me suspicious. What can I do to remove this unremovable file from my computer? Is it a virus?
First, I would recommend repairing the hard drive with Disk Utility.
If that doesn't fix the problem, there's a very dangerous command you can execute in the Terminal. This is very hazardous, because a simple typo can result in very drastic consequences. I have seen people erase their entire hard drive by putting a space in the wrong place! So, please follow the directions I'm going to give you very carefully!
Open the Terminal, which is found in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder. In the Terminal, enter the following:
sudo rm -f
Make sure to put a space after the "-f"! Then, drag the troublesome file from the Finder and drop it on the Terminal window. That should insert the path to the file in the command. Then go back to the Terminal and press return. You will be asked for your password, and when you type it, nothing will be shown as a security measure. Press return again after entering your password. The file should be deleted. -

1. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
2. Drag the slider to turn off iPad.
3. Turn iPad back on, hold down the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
