I am looking to replace an old HP psc 2210 all in one printer with a new all in one that will let me scan multiple photos at one time and put them directly into iPhoto. Dos anyone have suggestions for a printer that will do this?

I use an HP Photosmart, but most scanners will scan multiple photo's. I just make sure in the scan preferences, I tick the box to "Detect Seperate Items". I normaly scan 6 to 8 photo's at a time, size depending on how many I can fit on the scanner bed. I set the preferences to scan directly to iPhoto.

Are Muse files self-contained? (ie Is it all in one file?)

I have been kind of bad at file organization as I've been placing objects into my muse project.
Are all of these files embedded within the muse file?
As in, can I delete the files on my computer once I have saved them in my muse file? Or do I need to keep all of those in order to edit it?

I'd suggest you to keep all the content, the images and/or videos that you have used in your Muse site. You may use the assets panel to find where all your linked assets are and move them to a single folder manually. When you move your files around, you will get missing links. You can Relink one of these files to the new folder location, and Muse will look in that folder for all your other missing links.
Also, If you right-click(windows) or Ctrl-click(Mac OS) an image listed in the assets panel and choose Embed Link, Muse will embed the image in the .muse site file and remove the link to the original image. With this, you will not have to worry about the linked images.

I have a netgear router that I am trying to hook up to my emac and I keep on getting connection errors messages on the emac. why?

I recently received an eMac as a gift from a friend. I am having some problems setting it up. First, for some reason, I cannot get my osX disks to install onto my eMac. the eMac tells me the install disk is not bootable. Why would that be? So, I have os 9.2 installed on the eMac. I have the eMac connected to a netgear router, and when I set up all the ip settings in the eMac, I get connection errors. I do not know why. I can easily hook up any windows computer to a router, but when I try to connect an Apple Computer to a router or an ethernet modem, I always get connection errors. Why? What am I doing wrong? In the Apple System Profiler, the eMac tells me that it cannot identify the router. Why would that be? Do I need a special eMac driver for my netgear router? I have tried to find such a driver, but am having no success. I need help! Can someone please help me? I really want to use this eMac! But if I cannot get it set up for the internet, it is going into the junkyard! I really don't want that!

Encryption wouldn't matter except for Wifi.
While 10.2 might help, there's not much you can do on the Internet these days with less than 10.4.11

I was a kid when I made a documentary for a school project. I've been trying to figure out how to retrieve the file. 4 years ago, I was able to get the files off the Iomega Zip drive (finally), but I now see the file is saved as a .A4P. There is also a file saved as a .PKG as well, but I don't know how to open this with my Windows 8 COmputer.

.a4p is an Authorware v.4 (Windows) project.
Interesting you have it as a .pkg...usually that's a published-on-a- Mac extension, if I recall.
At any rate, can you put the file up on a Box, Dropbox, FTP, etc...and send me a URL?
I should be able to published it so you can view the project (it would be an .exe).
It can't be converted to anything though - not without manual effort.

I cannot recommend any specific data recovery software because I have not been in a situation where I needed it. I am fairly diligent having my important data backed up (two copies) so this is not a problem for me. Do look at Time Machine (one of my two backups) since it is very easy to set up and use. Look through these forums for situations where others have had to recover data and see if they mention specific recovery software.
Do not take these remarks as my being condescending. I am simply stating the facts. Try to view the price of the software as punishment for your faux pas. We all make mistakes and I have committed my share, but not in data loss.

If you can't remember your security questions go to Express Lane.
select iTunes from the list, then iTunes store. On the next screen select account Management. There, select iTunes store account security and write that you would like to reset your security questions and / or answers.
You should get an eMail reply over the next 24 hours.

They are all iMacs & some are on Maverick & some are on Yosemite. Some have Final Cut Pro that has a ID from a teacher that is no longer here. They all need to be standardized to the school apple ID.

Use Terminal to look for app store receipts…

or search the entire disk…

-x stops find crossing into other disks (via /Volumes).
Note you will probably need the second version since users may have installed apps in their user accounts (~/Applications is a legitimate place to store them).
You need to use sudo in an admin account otherwise find will throw a lot of permissions denied errors (harmless, but you may miss apps in restricted directories).
You probably can arrange those apps into a report for making a script to 'rm -rf' those apps. I don't know how you can read the original owner - it would be good to avoid deleting apps that don't belong to an incorrect account, since you will need to reinstall them.
Apple do have a volume licensing program, I'm not sure how good it is. It wasn't available here when I needed it.
If you don't have ARD setup, make a script & carry it around on USB, login as admin, enter admin password to run script, & wait for deletion to complete…
