Check the knowledge base article App Error 523. Though your device is 8310.
You can try the following -
Use JL_cmder to wipe your device OS. Click this link for details.
Check steps below for OS upgrade by installing device OS in the PC -
Step #1:
Before starting make sure that BlackBerry Desktop Software is installed on the Computer.
Step #2:
Make sure that you have installed updated device software installed in your PC. Check this link to get update device software from carrier OS download site.
Step#3:
Users can perform a full or selective backup of the data using the Backup and Restore tool in BlackBerry Desktop Manager by completing the following steps:
1.      Connect the BlackBerry device to the computer running BlackBerry Desktop Manager
2.      Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager
3.      Double-click Backup & Restore
4.      Select Backup to perform a full backup or select Advanced to perform a backup of specific databases
5.      Choose a location to save the backup file, then click Save
Step#4:
To perform a clean install of the BlackBerry Device Software, perform the following steps:
1.    Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer and open BlackBerry Desktop Manager
2.     Double-click the Application Loader icon
3.     Click Next to start the installation process
4.     Type your BlackBerry smartphone password, if prompted, and click OK
5.     Click the check boxes next to the names of the applications you want to load, and then click Next
6.     Click Advanced, and then click the check box beside Erase all currently installed applications
7.     Click Next
8.     Click the check box next to Do not automatically backup the application data during the loading process
9.     Clear the box next to Backup and restore applications installed wirelessly
10. Click Next -> Finish
11. When the process has completed, the message The loading operation was successful will appear
12. Click Close to return to BlackBerry Desktop Manager

Create a Shared Photo Stream to get any missed photos that did not make it into the Photo Stream. Remember, when you turned on Photo Stream it will start to copy new photos taken at that point in time. It also only holds the pictures for 30 days and up to 1000 photos.

Individual eMail Size

Is there a way in which I can see the individual eMail size in BlackBerry (I have 8310 Curve) , like we have the size field in Outlook.

There is no option to view individual mail sizes. But by default all the mails are reduced to 32KB and you can request more and you go on reading.

You want to retrieve them from the Device Memory? Are those SMS currently listed in the SMS folder?
If so, you will need to do a backup of the device using Desktop Manager, and then you will be able to extract those SMS using:

Delete signature sent email

Hi, i have 8310 blackberry curve. Anybody know as delete the signing of mail address? When i send a email with BB a signature appears at the bottom of mail and i would like delete this. thx.

Do you have T-Mobile as a carrier? I have TM and figured out how to do this yesterday. If you've got TM, here is what worked for me:
Log into Tmobile.com, in the Your Blackberry Curve dialogue box, click on Accessories, then when the next page loads, click in the Resources dialogue box on the right, and select Set Up Blackberry Internet Email. Email accounts will come upt with options to Edit, add Filters or Delete. Click on Edit, the signature box comes up and you can change it, or remove the text entirely.

Sync bb w/ yahoo contacts

I have 8310 running desktop manager 4.2.2 and I have ATT. i use yahoo for my e-mail and contacts. I like to make most of my changes in yahoo and then sync to the bb. However when I do this I get conficts and double messages. I am a neophyte to this process. Any advise would be great. I think I might be configured incorrectly???

I have noticed that since upgrading to Lion, ios 5, and switching over from Mobile Me to iCloud, I now have duplicates in my Address Book contacts. I am assuming it is due to the switch to iCloud. Previously, I had my Address Book set to sync with Yahoo and Google as well as Mobile Me. This seemed to keep all 3 accounts in sync. Now, I have 2 accounts: On My Mac and iCloud. In Preferences, I have On My Mac set to sync with Google and Yahoo. Is there any way to keep On My Mac and iCloud in sync? Is my perception that the change occured when I switched to iCloud accurate? Am I accurate in observing that all my contacts were, in fact, 3-way syncing prior to iCloud and that now they are not? Is there any way to get them all syncing again? And can you or anyone provide insight as to why this very un-helpful change would have been implemented by Apple? Thank you!

Hi All, thank you for you suggestions. I have been unable to find any website for the maker, but have looked at several Thai/cambodian sites incl <http://www.buycoms.com/Article/8435/index.asp> which mentions the keyboard being suitable for tablet or windows. No mention of iMac! although the box is branded to indicate Mac compatable.
I'm thinking that maybe it just will not pair with an iMac.
Ill keep looking for the maker website, which might come on later in the future? maybe?

Disassociate 8310 from previous Desktop Manager/Redirector sync with Laptop that I no longer have.

I recently sync'ed BB 8310 with BB Desktop Manager and Redirector on a computer that I no longer have. Unfortunately, I was unaware of the RIM 'server' emails that I would receive daily (approx. 20-40 emails per day)...
Is there a way to disassociate my BB from this previous synch? Please Help... I am so tired of grabbing my phone to see another RIM system message Argh!

On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > Service Book, and delete all service books for [Desktop]
Hopefully that will stop them, since you don't have access to the old PC any longer.

I have a 8310 wont sync the calender wireless,on the calender properties the wireless synchronization does`t allow the change option of yes or no.it is on no and does`t give me the yes option.anyone know why?It is a work email but BES in administered by Vodacom.I can get emails only.we are on outlook2003 server @ our workers can access their emails using web email.

Blackberry 8310 not showing reply or send in sms text options menu

I have a blackberry 8310. iam able to recieve sms text messages but when i click to on options, there is no "reply" option in the menu for me to be able to reply to the text. The chip works fine in other phones so that tells me something in the phone is not set right. There is no option for me to even compose and fresh sms text message. Please help?

Here ya' go:
1. Get a good backup of your device: BB device backup (I keep all my backups in a separate folder created for that purpose so they are always in one place and easy to find.)
2. Download the most recent version of device software for your carrier: Downloading BB device software
3. Reinstall the device software: Clean reload of device software
4. Pull the battery out with the device ON. Wait about a minute and put the battery back in. Let the BB completely restart.
5. Once you have the device OS successfully installed you will then need to reinstall any 3rd party apps you currently have on your device: Install applications using the app loader tool
6. Complete another battery pull routine after each 3rd party app installation to reclaim memory and refresh your BB.

hello, you have a 8310. You must use an OS for the exact model. Using one for 8300 or 8330 will not work.
