I have a 16gb iPad 2, But its saying that its capacity is 14gb, why is this?
I have an iPad 2 and it is the 16gb one however, when I view my iPad summary in itunes and look at the overall capacity, it says that its capacity is only 14gb? Why is this? As this is clearly not what it used to be like

That is perfectly normal. The storage capacity of the device as listed is TOTAL capacity. The preinstalled apps and the iPad OS account for the remainder of the space on the device,

Mostly iTunes, mail, finder, google chrome, and one or two other programs.
What are the "two other programs?" The ones you named shouldn't be consuming all your RAM, even if open concurrently. But I've heard (I don't use it) 10.7 is a memory hog.
Closing open apps may not solve the problem, since that memory is still being held in reserve for them.
This problem is usually caused by a combination of low RAM and low disk space.I am very puzzled when you say you have 895GB left on the drive. That should be an enormous amount of room for the memory to page out (write) to.

I'm thinking that you have a corrupt backup. You can try this if you want to give it a shot.
Without connecting the iPad to the computer, launch iTunes. Go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. See how many backups you have for the iPad. If you have multiple backups, delete all but one. Click on the backup in the window and then click on Delete.
Quit iTunes, connect the iPad and then try again. -

You man need to delete iTunes on your computer and then reinstall.

16GB iPad tells me its capacity is only 5GB?
I recieved a brand new iPad today from an Apple reseller and I've just set it up. I tried to download a game but it told me there wasn't enough space, so I checked how much space was free in the General tab of the Settings app and it displays the capacity is 3.1GB and the available space is 2.4GB.
So I plugged it into iTunes and it says on the iPad summary it is a 5GB iPad.
I'm wondering if it's a problem with the iPad and I need to send it back or if it's something I can fix myself? Has anyone else had similar issues and how did they fix it?
And yes, I've turned it off and on again and also tried a hard reset.My iPad 4 is one month old. It is 32 GB. As you can see it is very straight forward in reporting that it is 32 GB, there are no formulas involved.
I'm not sure what this 5 GB issue is, there is no such thing as a 5 GB iPad. -

Having upgraded my iPad to the more recent OSsomething, my mailbox no longer receives or sends emails.
My wifi is fine, checked with my laptop which works fine. I have switched off the iPad many times but the problem remains. Can anyone help?First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
That's not the same as turning it off or on.
Another things to try is to reset your settings. Use the Settings app for this.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
You will not lose data but you will have to enter all passwords again.
If the problem persists after the reset check your email accounts on the iPad. You could delete them and add them back. This is also done in the Settings app.

That's correct. The first generation iPad is incapable of running iOS 6 or newer.

Your Mac should have had all three of the iLife apps pre-bundled with it; iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand. If your Mac came with Mac OS X Snow Leopard installed, then the apps should be on the Install DVD that came with your Mac, perhaps in a folder on the disc labeled bundled apps. After installing them, these apps would not be updated through the Mac App Store, but with Software Update.

You won't be able to redownload any of your Brazilian purchases, as well as being tied to the account all purchases are also tied to the country that they were downloaded in - you will only potentially be able to redownload them if you move back to Brazil and have a Brazilian billing address on your account. Have you not got copies of them in your computer's iTunes library and/or on your backup of your downloads/library ?

Showing that the sim has no signal does not mean that your phone is locked. If you phone was locked, then it would come up with an invalid sim message instead.
If you have no signal, then try taking the sim card out of your phone and re-inserting it and then re-starting the phone and see if this works, but in the end you need to contract your phone company/carrier with regard to no signal. What company sim card are you using? You need to contact them as they provide the service and it is only them that can sort out why you are not receiving a signal with their sim card in your phone. -
When I try to send email from my iPad and iPhone it says that I have the wrong username and/or password, but I know they are correct. Can someone help me?
"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done.
