I have a 2012 MacBook pro running Yosemite that will not power up. Any advice?

I Am unable to power up my macbook pro. It has been working fine up to this afternoon. I was using it, stepped away and when I returned it was off and I am not able to get it to turn on. I have tried switching power sources but nothing seems to work. I would appreciate any advice
