I have a 4s and i am trying to get my photos off my phone and back onto my computer. any advice?
I have a 4s and i am trying to get the photos off of my phone and back onto my computer.... i am not able to delete these photos (only the ones in the camera roll can i delete ) if anyone has any helpful tips they would be appreciated. thank you
Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process cannot be deleted direct on the iPhone.
Photos transferred from the computer are optimized for viewing on the iPhone – the original resolution of these photos is reduced, and the reason transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported. Photos transferred from your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data
Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process are removed from your iPhone in the same way. To remove all photos that were transferred from your computer, deselect sync photos under the photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by sink.

my i phone screen is black i cannot access anything. i am trying to get my photos off of it and when i connect to i tunes it says my phone has a passcode which i cannot enter because my phone is black
It's too late. If you had been syncing your phone with that computer prior to the screen failing, it wouldn't be asking you for a passcode...

This iPod is so old. The battery doesn't really work anymore. So I want to take the pictures off of it and get them on my laptop.
I'm not sure. My laptop says that the charger isn't recognized, but it works fine with my iPod touch. So it's about a 50/50 chance I can get it to work. I got it working yesterday, and I could see on iTunes how much storage it had left and all that, so I think if I just play around with it some I can get it to work.

How do I get my photos off my phone and on my computer?
Need some help!
If you have a USB cable that can connect your phone to your PC, then hereʻs what you do. Turn on computer. Log on. Connect your phone to your computer via the USB cable. One of two things will happen. (1) an icon will appear on your computer labelled as a device, or removable media or (2) a screen which allows you to look at files located on your phone. If the (1) appears, click on the icon, and look for folders. I donʻt have a Samsung so you might have to open all the folders to find your pictures as Iʻm not sure what the label name of the folder should be. If (2) appears, look for the option that says view files or something to that affect. Just follow the onscreen direction and hopefully you can figure it out.

I have photos on my iphone 4 that i'm trying to transfer to iphoto. The problem is when I plug the phone in, it only wants to transfer the new photos, not all. How can I take all the photos off my phone and put them into iphoto? Even if there are duplicates, I'd like to make sure I get all the photos from my phone into iphoto. Thanks
To see all the photos on the phone, including photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, deselect the "Hide Photos Already Imported" checkbox. If the camera contains photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, those photos are hidden by default.

I was typing an email to friend. I put the ipad down to answer the door and came back a few minutes later and the screen had gone blank and when I tried to get the message that I was typing back I could not find it. The message contained a lot of text and pictures. How can I find it? I have looked in drafts.
Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons... -

I used my appleid on my husband's phone. Our contacts merged, both phones ring and he sees my texts. I deleted his contacts from my phone and they deleted from his phone also. How can I get my appleid off his phone and retrieve his contacts?

Bad mistake. You shouldn't have used your Apple ID on his phone. And you made it worse because now the contacts are gone, as you deleted them from your phone, they got deleted on iCloud. Your husband should have his Apple ID.
There is really no way of recovering the deleted contacts unless you backed up using iTunes and even then you will only be able to recover those contacts that were on a call list. Read here:

i upgraded my iphone 4 OS yesterday to ios 5, today morning my phone is not working, i am not able to click any button and also its not allowing me to switch off the phone and restart. Anyone having similar issues?
From my post on what seems like the same issue (found here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/21087892#21087892)
Take the following steps:
1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!
Hope this helps! -

HT201317 How do I get my photos off of iCloud and back on my phone?
I have all of my photos connected to iCloud, so they can backup and be saved. But since I have a very limited amount of space, and after my photos have been backed up, I end up deleting them off my phone so I can have more room. I now have more space available and would really like my pictures back on my phone. Is there a way to get them back on my phone from iCloud?
iCloud only backs up the photos that are on your device when it is backed up. If you deleted the photos from your phone, then backed up, the backup will no longer include the photos you deleted. Also, photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days. After that they are deleted from photo stream but not from any device that already has them. Also, if you deleted the photos from the My Photo Stream album on your phone, they are also deleted from your photo stream (as the prompt warns you when you do) and could not therefore later be recovered from photo stream.
If you still have a backup that was made while the photos were on your phone, you could restore to the backup to recover the photos. Otherwise they are lost.
If you want to save your photos, always import them to your computer, as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808. -

Moving mail messages from one account to another sends to inbox, not IMAP folder
