I have a 64 bit computer

I just bought my iPhone and came home from the store all excited to activate it. When I plug it in I get a message that I have to use a 32 bit PC. Is there anything I can do or am I just screwed?

For now, you will have to use the iPhone with a 32-bit computer. If you have another computer (at work, at home, at a friend's house) you can use that to activate the iPhone. For more information on the minimum system requirements, please take a look at this article:

All you need is more space in your computer, you can't have a 32 bit, you have to have more ram added or less clutter. I am a beta tester and I always make sure I clean my computer once a month. If you do that you will have more space in your computer, and less clutter in your main harddrive. I clean my mac with CleanMyMac, it is an excellent program that takes care of your computer.

Try opening directly from your desktop, by passing the welcome screen.
Go to Windows Explorer>C drive>Program Files (x86)>Adobe>Photoshop elements 11. Right click, then Send to>Desktop
Double click on the shortcut and see it will open.

In can see that I run a 32bit version of windows 7, but when I check in the program "CPU-Z", I can see the name EM64T - Does it mean that I have a 64 bit system, and can run After effects ?

Erm, you still need a 64bit operating system, so no, unless you upgrade to Win7 64bit, you cannot run AE CS5 and beyond.

There is no 32 bit version of After Effects. After Effects CS6, CS5.5, and CS5 are all 64-bit only programs
After Effects CS4 was the last release that supported 32-bit systems.

I downloaded my Adobe Elements but it won't finish as it says I have a 32 bit program but my computer is a 64 bit

I purchased my program from the University book store and after I downloaded the program to my compute it now states that I can't because its a 32 bit program and I have a 64 bit computer. It did not have me select one and I looked at my packaging but it doesn't say its 32 bit only. How can I get this resolved?

Are you installing it from a package? The package is created for 32 bit & 64 bit separately.

You shouldn't have any problem with running that 32 bit Firefox version on a 64 bit Windows platform.

Do I have to give up Palm Desktop 4.2 with my new Windows 7 64-bit Computer?

Just got a new Windows 7, 64-bit computer. I am completely dependent on my Palm Desktop 4.2 software and don't want to give it up. However, I was told by an online chat rep. that I needed a bluetooth connection to hot synch my Centro with my new computer. Ran out and bought it, but it seems that on Palm Desktop v. 4.2 there is no option to hot synch via bluetooth...obviously, the program is too old.
Does this mean I have to "upgrade" to Palm Desktop 6.2? Yuk! This version stinks! 4.2 is the reason I'm on my 3rd Palm product. Is there a different calendar software that you can hot synch with a desktop calendar? Has anyone had any success with this?
Any advice would be appreciated!

Sad I love my CENTRO on SPRINT. I have 3 on my account and 2 7xx. USB Bluetooth dongles are cheap but annoyingly flakey because of the crummy software that comes with them AND will they work with PTunes? It didn't when I tried Bluetooth on Windows XP.
At the END of the day, if PALM is not committed enough to put out a windows 7 64 bit USB driver how can I be committed to this phone. Looks like Android is getting help from palm, although I don't want to deal with learning a new phone.
If you find a good USB Bluetooth dongle device that works let us know here.

I can find no problems with my system except this one. All my other programs seem to run and open OK. Any suggestions would be helpful. I am running the latest version of itunes. This issue is on my desktop. I also own an Acer Laptop that is also beginning to act up in the same way.

Have you checked to see whether the App Store appis hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'on' ?

'Source play' and 'audio-video sync' problems with PE8 on fast WIN7 64 bit computer

I am transferring Hi8 videos, about 2 hours long, to my WIN7 64 bit computer with PE8. [Dell Mobile Precision M4400 Computer Workstation (Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 500GB/4GB); NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M, 512MB] I seem to have several problems:
First, after importing the file (.avi), I get a message about ‘dropped frames.’
Secondly, when I try to play the video in the source monitor, the audio plays but the video doesn’t; it only shows the first frame [this is after waiting until the video is ?recognized? ] I can use the shift-arrow key and see that the video is there.
Thirdly, I can play the .avi file in other players, e.g., avidemux or PE pro CS5 on another computer. There, I see that the audio and video are not in sync; the audio can be up to 300 ms ahead of the video (as determined using avidemux).
Questions:
1. Why doesn’t the source monitor play the video? Is this a problem with PE8 (latest update as of 3 March 2011) on aWIN7 64 bit computer (intel duo core. 3 GHz).
2. Is the audio-video sync problem the result of the ‘dropped frames?’ How can PE8 correct this? Avoid this? Or, is it coincidence?

WMP v12 is dumb. Under properties, media, it says 'video.' However, avidemux gave me the information state above: video -- Codec 4CC: dvsd, frame rate: 29.971 fps; audio -- codec: PCM, channels: Stereo, frequency: 48 kHz.
So, back to the Questions:

To enable/disable Just-In-Time debugging
On the Tools menu, click Options.
In the Options dialog box, select the Debugging folder.
In the Debugging folder, select the Just-In-Time page.
In the Enable Just-In-Time debugging of these types of code box, select or clear the relevant program types:
Managed, Native, or Script.
To disable Just-In-Time debugging, once it has been enabled, you must be running with Administrator privileges. Enabling Just-In-Time debugging sets a registry key, and Administrator privileges are required to change that key.
Click OK.

Has anyone got a solution for the inability to update or reinstall itunes 10.6.3 on a windows 7 64 bit computer

I have been unable to update or reinstall Itunes to my windows 7 64 bit computer. I have tried most of the suggestions to date to no avail. My outcome is a dialog box that says itunes was not installed. . . At one point, it created a situation where my CDDVD drive was disabled but a windows troubleshooter got that back working citing a "class filter driver problem" that it repaired. Also, Itunes comes up and plays from the optical drive (and the hard drive) but will not write to the CD or refresh my podcast list. Anyone?

Installed latest itunes update and computer tried to burn a playlist to CD and realized computer no longer recognizes my CD/DVD drive. After doing some data mining, found out from community this is an long standing APPLE problem- which doesn't get much tech support in terms of fixes. I have an HPPavillion DV6 64 bit, Windows 7 OS . After reading an earlier complaint from 2009 in the support community, I ran diagnostics from ITunes which gave the following result. Can someone please help? (I'm not enough of a techie to know what I'm doing or how to locate /reinstall CD drivers. I am searching for driver disc but cannot locate.)
