Such an alert is done via JavaScript.<br />
If it happens on every page then you may have malware.<br />
If it only happens on specific pages then it can be a script on that page.
You can disable JavaScript temporarily to make it possible to close that tab and then re-enable JavaScript.<br />
Tools > Options > Content : [-] Enable JavaScript

I just got an iPhone 4S model number MD439LL/A still have the box that it came in along with other info. I can not find Siri. I have looked in settings>general and settings>general>restrictions. Can anyone help me out?

DvD will not mount but cd-r will When I install the the disc into the super drive the format box (disc utilities) comes up which is not the same box that comes up when installing a cd-r. I check the priference settings under general and it is set to show on the desk top.
Not yet will have to get one from a freind. I bought a stack of the Sony DVD+R and that is all I have.

also i have recently noticed that my iphone does not have "hotspot" instaled in the software!!!You will have to pay to get it fixed, so I see no reason to need the reciept.
Hotdpot is an option that your carrier provides. It may cost extra. It depends on the carrier, but you shoud call them ask. -

My sister and I each have an ipod touch. We use the same computer and itunes but each have our own apple id. Everytime I want to update an app on my ipod it asks for my sisters apple id login!? help!
When it asks for another ID on an App Update, it means that the application was purchased under your sister's ID but downloaded to your device from the iTunes library that you share. Even though you both have your own Apple IDs, since you are syncing on the same computer, you are using the same iTunes library.
Whoever purchased the app is forever tied to it, and you can only have one version of a particular app in a single library....
Does that make sense?

I've recently started to use Numbers on my macbook pro but when I try to sync to iCloud it asks me to create a new iCloud account. Problem is I already have one and that's the one I want to use.
Looks like I have the same situation on my iphone.
The only option I'm being given is to create an lCloud account.
Any guidance? Thanks.The last thing you want is a second iCloud account. Try logging out and back in in System Preferences. If that doesn't work, I'd get AppleCare on the line.

I have an existing mini mac and 4 tb external drive.
My iTunes library exists on the external drive under /itunes...
I have purchased a new mini mac and I want to leave the library where it is on the external drive but move to new mini mac and have it show as it did on the old mini mac..
what do i need to do ?
I have found multitude of articles about moving itunes to external drive or other similar things but I don't want to move itunes from the external drive, just change mini mac machines and have everything in itunes the same..

There are no media files on the mac mini just the library files and on external just media files..
Do I need to copy anything over from the old mac mini ? xml files ? .. the itunes folder on old mini is about 840mb in size which looks to have artwork ect ? .. I am fairly computer literate, but this one has me stumped.. ?

I was researching information for a class and I clicked on a website that said that all of my files had been encrypted. A popup appeared and asked if I wanted to leave the page but when I tried to, it would let me. I had to force quit Safari in order to do so. How do I know if this is a real problem or not?
It's a JavaScript scam that only affects your web browser, and only temporarily.
1. Some of those scam pages can be dismissed very easily. Press command-W to close the tab or window. A huge box will pop up. Press the return key and both the box and the page will close. If that doesn't happen, continue.
2. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and uncheck the box marked Enable JavaScript. Leave the preferences dialog open.
Close the malicious window or tab.
Re-enable JavaScript and close the preferences dialog.
3. If the Preferences menu item is grayed out, quit Safari. Force quit if necessary. Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. From the menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
to get rid of any cookies or other data left by the server. Open your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize. -
When I click down bookmarks, often the bookmarks tab will come down, but it'll be blank. Another problem is that when I right click on and image or right click on a web address, the box will come up blank. The program is freezing when I do this. I'll then have to shut Firefox down through my task manager and restart it. But usually within minutes the same problem occurs.
My keynote is on my iPad and I have also sent it to my gmail account. (Now I'm trying to figure how to get it from my gmail account to google docs/drive.) I'm pretty sure if I can get it into docs then there is an icon in edmodo that will upload files from google docs. I have a dialogue box that will not go away and it seems to have started when I upgraded to Mt. Lion. the box says, "To open JavaApplication, you need to install a Java 6 SE runtime. Would you like to check for and install one? (smaller print) Note: Usw of this software is subject to the Software License Agreement applicable to the software you are downloading. Finally there are two boxes to click. One says not now. If I click on that the box goes away for 2 to 3 seconds and then pops back up and WILL NOT go away. If I click on the second box, Install, it says The software is currently unavailable. To install a Java SE 6 runtime later, open Java Application again.
My confusion here is that I have no idea what the java application is, When I click "okay" on that box, the original box pops us again and WILL NOT go away. CGoing to the apple lega web site was no help. My solution so far has been to drag the dialogue box as far to the lower right and out of the way as far as I can. Help.Does this happen immediately after you log in? If so, one of your login items is probably causing it.

I simply can't open one of my favorite websites. I click on it and first comes up a box with a list of downloads ( all from the same site) . When I click on one from the list, I get a box that from Notepad with a bunch of writing that I have no idea what it is.
I believe while trying to get it open in the first place I checked the box that said... "open from here from now on" or something similar. The two other first options I was given didn't open it.

Copying from web pages can include some weird formatting. Instead of Paste, use Paste and Match Style (Edit Menu).
