I have a C5180 and 3 computers on a wired network. The problem is scanning.

One system is running Win 2003 x64 and is a domain controller, active directory, DNS and DHCP server. One system is a muti-boot system with XP Pro x86 and Win 7 x64. The third system is a HP Pavilion dv6119us running XP Pro x86. I have a registered domain name and web site. The internal domain is a sub domain of the registered domain. The printer used to work correctly before i had the internet domain and only had the internal domain. I reinstalled Win 7 and XP on the multi-boot system and Win 2003 on the server because of MB upgrades. Now comes the problem. I reinstalled the printer software on both systems. The XP systems have a problem installing the scan drivers. It keeps going to the internet even though the printer has a fixed and reserved IP address. It will print but when I try to scan, it can't find the scanner. I have reinstalled the software 4 times on each XP system and same issue every time. I tried installing it with the router disconnected from the modem. It worked and scanned 3 times! When I connected the router to the modem, I got the "another system or program is using the scanner" error. The only other system running was the server and it can't use the printer. I get the same problem with the notebook. Also get the same error when trying to scan from the scan button on the printer. The Win 7 printer install worked perfectly and scans with no problem. Oh, and the printer is manually configured with the fixed IP address, subnet mask and gateway. I am very upset because I can't always use Win 7 to scan. Any ideas, suggestions or ...

Do not respond to that message. There are no known viruses on OSX systems. What you are seeing is a total scam.
Open Safari then go to Preferences>Privacy. Remove all Cookies and Website data. Set the Block Cookies option to Block 3rd Parties and Advertisers:

I got a chance to look at it on a PC. Totally hosed up. It loads incorrectly then parts of it go blank.

I haven't looked much at the other templates so I don't know if yours is mostly a template or how much you may have modified one or what tricks you may have done to get the look you wanted. I have a user on an iMac 10.6 connected to our domain. She uses Outlook web access for email on our exchange server. Last week she received the following message which is randomly preventing her from sending emails. She claims no attachment was involved in the original email when this all started. I have not been able to look at her account as she is out of the office but maybe someone else dealt with this issue. I realize this may not be Mac related but thought I'd give it a try. She did say it occurred once over two days while working on a PC but it continued over the past weekend.

The conflict may have occurred when an existing item was updated on another computer or device. Open the item again and try making your changes. This is because F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange has detected a virus in the attachment. If the user tries to send the message again, the message will be sent but without the attachment. At the same time a blank message with an attachment named "Attachment_information.txt" will remain in the user's Drafts folder. The "Attachment_information.txt" will contain information about the virus detected in the message.

PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. What a mess. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. Such junk I cannot believe I paid money for it and Apple does not support it with fixes !!!

They have gone now and I am attempting to either change the password or delete the user. It won't allow me to choose the user I created. I am logged in as myself and it states that I am an "Admin". The user I'm attempting to change is listed as a "standard" user and there is a white checkmark inside an orange circular background on the user pic in the list of users.
Can someone help me? I am having a hard time believing that OSx will allow me to create users and allow them use of my computer and it's drives, yet it will not allow me to change the password so I can monitor what they might have been doing while logged on? What if this were my child? This guest left under sketchy circumstances, and I'd really like to be able to ensure they were not using my computer to do illegal things or to have illegal communications.
Any help would be appreciated. (It's odd that it was so simple to "create" a user and set a password for them.......but it's complicated or a little known process to reverse.

Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing. The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as). The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue). However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens. It will not change to highlight that user.

In my frustration , amongst lots of open web pages tutorials and other useless information , I come across innocent looking link and software to installed called Genieo , which suppose to help with any router .
Software ask for permission to install , and about 30 % in , my instinct was telling me , there is something not right . I stop installation . Delete everything , look for any
trace in Spotlight , Library . Nothing could be find .
Now , every time I open Safari , Firefox or Chrome , it will open in my home page , but when I start looking for something in steed of Google page , there is
''search.genieo.com'' page acting like a Google . I try again to get raid of this but I can not find solution .
With more research , again using genieo.com search eng. there is lots of articles and warnings . From that I learn do not use uninstall software , because doing this will install more things where it come from.
I do have AppleCare support but its to late to phone them , so maybe there some people with knowledge , how to get this of my computer

Genieo definitely doesn't help with your router. It's just adware, and has no benefit to you at all. They scammed you so that they could display their ads on your computer.

Try this:
Open the "Find my iPhone" app on your iPad, fill in your AppleID and password at the start up screen, and you should see a list of all your devices and their current location, if connected to a Wi-Fi or mobile data network. Devices not connected will be shown as "offline". But you can still trap on the icon and hit "erase iPhone" in the right hand window.
If your iPhone is not listed, you did not activate this feature during the setup of the phone and it can't be erased remotely.
If the phone is listed, even as offline, tap on "erase" to send the erase command. The next time your device will be connected to any kind of network, the content will be erased.

They can provide some kind of way towards this solutions...
eg:
1) Accept my UK iPhone in India courier it to Purchased Place (Repaired it)
2) Accept my UK iPhone in India Take some difference assign me India iPhone.
3) Accept my UK iPhone in India give me any option to ugreade to iPhone 5 (Indian).
4) Accept my UK iPhone in India give me some Receipt (Courier me My new iPhone from UK).
5) Approve my VISA for going to UK again as it not easy for INDIAN to go there with some kind of this Reason.
6) Give the Postal Address where we can send our APPLE to get only Service and they can send it back to us if it got reparied.
As no one would like to go UK only to Purchase APPLE..
There are some personal reason they have to go to Other countries for ... and If some one is FAN of APPLE like me would do the same mistake that I have done..
7) If the APPLE wanted to serve their customer they would have get to the solutions with their excellent mind.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.

Hae you tried to do a hard reset of your phone? This will not lose any data. Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the phone turns off ignoring any slide to power off messages. Then power the phone back on.
