If you were given an ID and password by your IT department, it's their problem. If you created one yourself, you can retrieve it at https://iforgot.apple.com/appleid.
There's nothing anyone else can do about it.
If your IT department handed it to you without clearing the iCloud account that was already set up on the phone before doing so, and you didn't even try to turn it on, just plugged it in and restored it, which updated it to iOS 7, then it's activation locked using the account that was already on it. If it's company owned, they will have to take the phone and proof of ownership to Apple to have it reset.

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for the original owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. No must contact the original owner to get permission to use the device. Are you sure the "friend" who sold you this iPad was the primal owner? If you cannot contact the original owner return the device to "your friend" and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

How do you transfer voice memos to your pc? I have synced my phone a number of times and everything updates with the exception of voice memos? Also, my voice memos are checked to be synced everytime my phone is synced.
Voice memos, once correctly synced, will appear under your Music Library. Can you go through your music library to check?

please help!!!!!!!!!Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

Hi, I have a 3 year old Macbook Pro 13" and I accidentally cracked the outer screen of my mac book, however the LCD panel is fine and works well. Please advise what to do. I live in India and I have gone to authorised Apple technicians and they infomed me that I will have to replace the LCD panel as well even though it is not cracked, is this really true or can I just change the outer shell? Also they say that they cannot do it in India... can I do it myself at home?
Since it is 3 years old find a local repair shop that can replace the glass Only. you may have to send it out to a Non Local shop for that but there are some that specialize in doiing that on Mac notebooks.
Apple will ony replace the complete screen enclosure with all normal parts included, LCD, Camera, Aluminum housing and glass as one unit. Which is very expensive. Or you could just use it as a desktop system with external monitor and buy a new notebook. -

hi I recently got a iPhone 5s, I'm suck on the activation screen and can't get past it because it says I don't have a valid sim. I'm not sure what sim im on but I brought it unlocked and put a sim in it and it isn't working. Also how do I tell if the sim isn't the right one, because when I put it in i comes up with the normal circles that show you are connected. I have not idea what iOS im on cause i can't check.
Softbank is a Japanese carrier. They do not unlock phones, but if you can use it with a Softbank SIM that should work. There are fake iPhones, but you can easily check; just enter its serial number here: Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage

Where do i go from here i do not know what to do as i have been trying to contact the person i bought it from but they have given me no reply i need advice on how to get this problem solved, i do have the email confirmation is that enough to get apple to deactivate it from the persons Icloud
Until that person help you, the iPhone is a dead weight. We can't help you with this. This is the new activation lock feature to prevent stolen iPhone from activating.

You heard wrong.
Apple will not assist you.
You must get ahold of the original owner and have that person remove the phone(s) from their account. There is no way around Activation Lock.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add a new account by tapping the "create Apple ID" button. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account") -
I have a new Samsung phone and I live in CT. Last month they charged me $38 on my bill for the sales tax for the new phone which was $600. I'm paying for the phone itself over 20 installments of $30 each. Now again I'm getting that same $38 charge. I can't believe that the monthly CT tax is higher than the payment for the phone itself. Does this make sense. Last time I spoke with them on the phone it was for 1 1/4 hours for something simple. I don't want to call unless I need to. The salesman told me nothing about any of this. Actually, now I'm realizing that last month's bill stated I was making the first payment toward the phone. Now this month also says it's the first payment toward the phone when it's really the second. -
I have broken my screen and cannot access my iphone. I have an icloud account which I have used to back up my phone previously but nothing is showing on the website in contacts etc. As I can enter my pin I cannot connect it to a laptop. Is there anyway of backinh up my data, pictures etc?
No there isn't. If you check iCloud, you are not showing any backups at all? Did you have the phone set to sync contacts in iCloud, or were you just backing up to iCloud? If you were just backing up, then you should be able to access the backup, but if you were not syncing, then you probably cannot see the contacts in iCloud. You would have to wait until you restore from the backup to see them. You will probably have to go onto the iCloud website to erase and remove the device from Find My iPhone if you want to clear it off.

I am trying to unlock my phone - this required me to download itunes onto a friend's PC in PNG. Now it won't restore the phone (which I have to do in order to unlock it) without downloading this 800Mb file, which will cost me approx AUD$200. Help.
Are there any other options out there?Nope. You need an .ipsw file to restore your phone & since your friend didn't have iTunes, obviously there is no current .ipsw file to use. You can go to an Apple store, use your own computer, find another computer, but you can't restore without a current signed .ipsw file.
