I have a pop up that appears a lot when im searching throughout the internet. the url is for the pop up is http://ad.adserverplus.com/st?ad_type=iframe&ad_size=800x440§ion=3048190&sv= 4647848584844. how can i get rid of this constant annoyance. and is this a virus? because i run my antivirus and it doesnt show any viruses. if anyone can help me, i would really appreciate it. open chrome, disable java then clear your cache.
exit chrome, restart your macbook and start up chrome and see if it pops up again."
and it didn't work for me.
any others out there?? i'm about to format my macpro because of this anoying thing....

Every time I open the browser, a pop-up window asks "Do you want the following program to make changes to this computer?"
It is unnecessary and annoying to have to click "yes" each time.
How can I get this pop-up window to stop?Thanks for the help I'll keep the info just in case - but I got so frustrated that I just deleted the program and then re downloaded the current version now everything works fine.

every time i want to go to another page a pop up comes up with 'do you want to navigate away from this page'. For instance when i am on FB and i want to view a picture i am asked the question, also if i go to hotmail and want to go to the inbox the same question is asked. All i want to do is navigate away from pages without being asked EVERY single time. How can i switch it off
This issue can be caused gadgets on the Facebook page.
You will have to check that out by removing each of them until you find the culprit.
If you added or updated gadgets recently than start with those.

Hi all, just downloaded a security update on my new iphone 4S. The phone may be more secure but all the Aps icons have been downgraded in art quality why would this be. Before the download the phone looked the business definitely high end quality now it looks like a second rate cheapo. Please advise how to get the smart Aps icons back. Best regards SuttertonSteve
Hi KiltedTim, as a newbie to Apple, iphones and forums I would appreciate an explanation of the 'Trolls and Mods' comments on your posting. I presume the Mods are Apple sentinels but am I really a Troll just because I made a criticism of the new iOS version (even though I did not know I was actually doing that). Am I a Troll to you because you personally disapprove of criticism of the new iOS or is Troll used by the community to describe anyone who speaks up if they are not happy about a change. Please understand that by asking these questions it is not my intention to be confrontational (I’ve been called far worse than a Troll over the years) but as I’m new to the group an insight into the politics may be beneficial. I accessed this site then decided it was not what I needed.
I De-installed it by going to my control panel and removing it.
I restarted my PC and it comes up as my home page. I deleted it from my History and recently visited sites. restarted my PC and it still comes up as the primary search engine as the opening page.I was trying to set up my home page using my web settings. That did not work.
Set it up using foxfire. Works great.

I think I have a virus, how can I get rid of it?
When ever I am on the internet and I try to go to different websites, this drop down usually appears and says "safari can not identify the server..." It is either asking about the website I am trying to go to, or trying to send me to a completely different website which is spam. It has never done this before until this week. It happens when I go on facebook, or weheartit, or google. It even happened the hole time I am trying to use the apple website. Should I just take it in to the genius bar? Or is their something that I can do myself to stop it? For the spam addresses I have marked them as 'not safe' but it still continues to try and send me there.

It's not a virus but there is a solution to the, "Safari cannot identify the server" issue. Your ISP may be re directing your browser.
Use OpenDNS for better speed, more security, it's free, and no more re directs.
Open System Preferences / Preferences then select the Network tab. Click the Advanced tab then click the DNS tab.
Click +
Enter these numbers exactly as you see them here.
208.67.222.222
Click +
208.67.220.220
Then click OK and restart your Mac.

I see a toolbar that has some links to a Russian url (rockhomi.ru) and some buttons in Cyrllic and a button indicating weather conditions in Savannah, Georgia. That toolbar has replaced my Zynga game toolbar (it is called the Zynga toolbar under the view/toolbar menu but it is not)
I opened Firefox after a couple of hours offline and the Zynga toolbar has returned so you can close this issue if you want.

Connect to the computer the last backup is on, right click on its name in iTunes, and choose "Restore from backup". If the latest backup is in iCloud make sure you have a WiFi connection, then go to Settings/General/Reset and tap Erase all content and settings. After erasing you will be prompted to restore the iCloud backup.

According to your descriptioin, I don't think this is system problem, it should be Intel driver problem. It would be contact Intel to confirm this issue whether this is their driver problem.

I have made a burn folder with photos exported from I-photo. It now shows in information, that the date created and modified is different from the original digitized date. How can I get the original date to show in the info from Finder?
The Finder reports File information. The date and time of the photo are in the Photo's Exif metadata. The Finder has no awareness of this. All photos apps on any system do.

How can I get rid of old books that I have deleted from my device but still shows up as "purchased books" on "Icloud". I don't want to see some of these books at all. I can sort by one that are PDFs and ones currently on device, but it still gives option to show those old titles. Does anyone know how to erase your "Icloud" history, please?
Nooooooo! lol... If I want to download again I will, I don't want an electronic trail. Plus when I have Ibooks open, sometimes I will accidently hit the item and it will immediatly try to download it. The problem with that is that its "Time magazines Best Photos of 2012" etc and it locks up my IPAD cuz of sheer size of the book. So I would like it gone from the history. Isn't there a way to clear the history?
