Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.

You can take it to an Apple store...I think its costly though, I was told maybe a 100 bucks...not sure though. How long have you had the iTouch before the battery showed signs of failure, what Generation?

I not sure what your actual question is.
Does the CSV file include only your payments? Your payments and your dad's payments as separate items?
Do you want to com[are ongoing payments, or do you want to compare the current totals paid by each? Is the 'we' in "what we own" collective, or individual? DItto for "how much is owed."
Too many loose ends to tie down a clear answer.

One thing to keep in mind is that any electronic component inside your computer could be damaged, so you could end up paying to replace a lot of other parts later. (You also may not... it's a bit of a gamble.) It's your decision whether to repair or not, of course, but I personally would never consider repairing a computer with liquid damage. I would consider it a loss and would just replace it.

First if your iPod is 8gb it is not a 3g. It's probably a 2g.
Apple will replace your iPod for $99. This is a complete replacement not a repair. This won't be done at an Apple store.

So, if that is your iPod model, and you have a computer with a FireWire port, which even the current Macs do not have anymore, the cables are commonly available. However, the one to get depends on the type of FireWire port you have on the computer. The two likely types are 6-pin (older FireWire 400) and 9-pin (newer FireWire 800). Your iPod has the 6-pin (400) port.
