I had itune installed on my PC and came home and it would not work at all. so I uninstalled and now I cannot get itunes to re-install. an ny suggestions?

What are you actually trying to do? Why do you need "DVD size" folders if you're creatng an Archive on an external hard drive?
Also, I understand burning folders instead of individual photos or albums gives you more space on a DVD.
It makes no difference at all.
How can I keep the captions on my photos (not events) when I print or transfer to a new folder?
You can export while writing the metadata to the file in most cases.
Tne only way I know is to copy photos from the Windows to folders on my HD, then copy and paste photos or albums or events to HD, then create a new folder and fill it to the appropriate DVD size.
HD? Another HD? You use HD there in a way that makes no sense. What's the point of 'DVD size'?
I also thought I should download future photos to my Canon programming that comes with EOS cameras and edit and then decide which photos to save to iPhoto library and which to save only to my archival HD?
Does this have any relation to the previous questions? You know you can delete from iPhoto, right?
You're somewhat confused and you need to
1. Decide what exactly you want to do
2. Then go about it.
If I understand you correctly - and there's no guarantee that I do - the easiest thing is to bring all your Photos into iPhoto and do everything from there.
You can have an archive on an external disk, you can sort and select and edit with or via iPhoto

The money was stolen off of gift cards stored on my itunes account, and I did close the card on the account. I have changed my infortiona security wide but kept the rest of the changes they made to my account as proof. It has indeed been 48 hours since I conta cted them, and still no response. It means you need to connect the iPad to a computer running iTunes. It is disabled for some reason and will need to be restored from a computer.

TS1389 I have done everything in Help Menu and still cannot get purchases to play.

I have administrator account;
I have correct user name and password.
I have deleted the SC file;
I haveturned off user controls --temporarily.
I have re-downloaded all purchases. Yet I cannot play purchases because I am proompted to authporize computer.
I go along with it and provide the info.
I am then told the computer is already authorized. Back to square one.
Now I have multiple iterations of downloaded unplayable paid-for songs. What do do about this now?
Any solution to the authorization issue?

I have 2 user names ID's and can't get iTunes match on my iPhone

I purchased iTunes Match so I could listen to my library on my iPhone. However, my iTunes user ID is different than my iPhone user ID. When I go to "settings" on my iPhone and select "ON" for iTunes match, it says I haven't purchased it. What can I do? There doesn't seem to be a way to merge the accounts and I'm afraid if I abandon one for the other, I will loose all the information associated with that ID. Can you help? Thanks in advance.

Last night I just made a new library and imported the old library into the new one. That took care of the problem. Not sure why I was able to import and not access the library, but whatever. It works.
To follow up on your question, I could see the iTunes folder via Finder and iTunes, but when I tried selecting the folder nothing would happen. The drive is connected to my airport and is seen as a network attached storage.

There are two different things here, an OS update and a software update.
Mac OS X 10.5 is the version of OS while the .8 at the end is the software update (release patches)
The most current software update for Mac OS X 10.5 is 10.5.8
No more software updates available. You would need to upgrade the OS, which would be to Mac OS X 10.6
Your new iPhone 5 would require iTunes 10.6 which is only available for OS X version 10.6.8 or later.
Your would therefore need to upgrade your Macbook to this version of OS.
It maybe brought on DVD via Apple directly (Contact Apple ) or using any good online vendor like Amazon.

If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can find the location of the backup file here:
