I have a disk of acrobat XI that I got with a scanner I purchased. My computer does not have a DVD drive. Is there any way to download the product from the web? I do have the serial number from the acrobat XI disk...

If it is Pro, just download the trial. The alternative is to take the CD to a local library and transfer the files to a memory stick. When done, backup to a separate drive so you have access to it in the future. Another alternative is to by a USB DVD drive.

You also need to make sure you have both read and write permission for the file, or for the whole iTunes folder for that matter. That's also done in Get Info for the file or folder concerned.

As crazy as this sounds, this is actually the correct answer. This happened to me from 10.0.1 to 2. It wouldn't recognize the need to update (even in App store). Had to put the app itself in the trash, then log in to the AppStore account I used to purchase FCPX, and then I just downloaded the full, latest version. Installed that. Everything worked fine. I know it's a little nerve-wracking, just back up all your projects and files before (Projects and Events should remain untouched even if you put your FCPX App in the trash).

So I have an iPad 2 for two years. Has never been dropped or in water or damaged in any way....now the volume is distorted and I get booted off the web all the time. Plus it shows and no service in top left corner. Any one have these issues?

So I got is iPad as a gift and the same issues I had with my iPhone 4S is also happening with my iPad. Will Apple cover the problem as it lies within there updates or something. All I know I have taken perfect care of both products and volume is distorted. That's correct. You cannot download applications using Safari. The only application allowed on the iPad must be obtained from the App Store. Start the App Store app and search for torrent. There are many apps that come up.

As you can see this is first of a text messaging based social engineering technique that attempt to get you to bite on a false statement to allow them entry in your ohone. On top of which as Razmee209 says you don't have to worry about unless your phone is jailbroken. A non-jailbroken iPhone will not be effect if you are suckered into the bite of the attack.
