I have a doubt that my iPhone is a used one . Any tips on how i can check ?
I plugged my newly purchased iphone 4s into my laptop to sync with i-tunes and it showed " Babajee's iPhone " , which i not me .
Am hoping that its not a used one . When i bought the phone the shopkeeper entered his Apple Id to setup my phone .
But for the login you need an email id and password . His email id was "ManishYadav" , then how did " Babajee's iPhone " appeared when i connected the phone with itunes . It should've been " ManishYadav " since the shopkeeper entered his Apple id .
Am so confused .

Does it ask for the name on the first boot ? I saw a couple of iphone "first boot / startup" videos on youtube and during the startup it asked for the Apple id , but nowhere did it ask for the iPhone name .
I heard the first boot screen only comes once when you start the phone for the first time . So if it was used then the first boot screen wouldnt have appeared ?

Activation issues are almost always the result of a device that has been hacked or jailbroken. If that is the case, no support can be provided here.

I have yet to update my iPhone 4 to the latest iOS software. How do I save photos to my iCloud photo stream that were taken before I activated my iCloud account and photo stream ?
You have a couple of options:
Open the photos one at a time and take a screenshot. This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream;
Email the photos a few at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll. This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll and upload to photo stream;
Use an app like PhotoSync, which will allow you to wirelessly transfer copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once. Then delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll. These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream. (You need an app like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream.) -
i have purchased itunes match but the cloud will not load on my ipad 4.it works on my iphone 5 & it originally worked on my ipad.the only music that will show up is stuff that i bought from the itunes store.any ideas on how to get this to work?
On the MBP, in iTunes, switch to Song view and enable the iCloud Status column by pulling down View > View options and selecting the option for "iCloud Status." Close the small window. Look for any tracks that have a status of "waiting." If you see several of them disable iTunes Match while holding down the Option key. Quit iTunes, wait a few seconds, then open it again and turn iTM back on. Let it compelete the scan. Wait until all tracks that are "waiting" have a status of either "matched" or "uploaded."
On the iPad, turn off iTunes Match then launch the Music app and let the contents clear out. Power cycle the iPad for good measure, then re-enable the service once all the tracks in iTunes have been processed. -
i have an ipod, ipad, and iphone. ilike to use imessage on all of them but i dont want messages to appear on the devices i am not currently using. nor do i want to have to keep a saparate account / id for each device how do i fix the settings on each so that with the same ID / login I can chech me emails, share contacts etc, be able to use i messenger on each without the whole conversation automatically beiing picked up by my other devices? some conversations just arent intended to be shared!
Turn it into the local police department with an explanation as to who you tried to contact and what they told you. That's the only safe procedure, as otherwise the owner could report the iPod as stolen, even though you tried to return it, and get you into trouble.

I use my iphone 5 to record home videos. I have an apple tv but dvd burners dont have a hdmi plug in. Any suggestions on how i can burn videos from iphone 5?
I had a av cord that plugged into the iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 but its not compatible with the 5 connector. Right now i have to email myself the videos in small segments and open and save on the iPad 2 to burn them. Is there an easier way to burn these from my iPhone 5 or through air play on apple tv?

Whether or not you have a separate iTunes account, is up to you. If you have a separate iTunes accounts you will not be able to access the music, books, apps that have been purchased by the other. This may be exactly what you want, but it also means that you both may end up purchasing the same item. -

NagarajOn my iphone, when I get into Messages, I see a list of message thread names and at the top right is an icon with a square and pencil coming out of it. If I tap it, I can begin composing a new message with having to deal with any others.
If on your screen you see one or more message "bubbles", then press the "Messages" button at the upper left to go back to the home page for messages. There you can tap the compose icon. -

i have question about hooking up an external hdd to a time capsule and still have my printer hooked up as well. Anyone got any tips for me, how to do it and what brand of harddrive that will work best for me 1 or 2 TB
You just need a powered hub.. if you already use one then fine.
Plug in just about any external hard disk will work fine. Format has to be readable by the TC.. ie fat32.. or much better HFS+.. plug it into a Mac to prepare the drive.
Pick whatever size suits.. nowadays 2TB are most economical.
WD, Seagate have goobled up all the minor players.. so pick one.
Whatever suits your budget and asthetics.
NOTE.. The USB on the TC is fine for printers.. IMHO it is the wrong way to go with USB disks.. use the internal disk of the TC.. USB is less than half the native speed plugged into a Mac.. TC to USB is slow.. far slower than internal drive.. or using external drive as external. -
