I have a dvd of a concert that I would like to copy to my mac and play without using my usb superdrive every time. Is this possible?

I have a DVD of a concert that plays when connected via USB superdrive. Can I copy this to my hard drive/desktop so that I can play it at times when I don't have the superdrive? If so, how do i do it?

is the DVD copyrighted?
if not you can convert it MP4 etc with an application like MDRP

Well, this question really belongs in the iTunes forum, which is where you will get fast answers.
Just go to iTunes Preferences. Click on the General icon. Set When you insert a CD to Ask to Import CD. Click on Import Settings. Set Import to MP3 decoder. Make sure you're using Good Quality.
This should deal with your CD's.
With your current music, as long as it does not have DRM restrictions (older iTunes Music did), select the song, right click on the song (or group of songs), pull down to Create MP3 version.

Sign up to iTunes Match, though I'd consider investing in more storage. If space is a problem now then you're probably not backing up your existing media and content, which you should most certainly do.

Yes, the file extension is M4R. Does it matter where I save these files on my Macbook? I then opened them in Itunes and played them. I did find the Tones folder in Itunes but the Tones or Ringtones tab does not show up when I select Iphone (within Itunes). When I open the Tones folder in the Library, it is empty. Depending on the attachment I think you'll probably need to view and download the email on a computer - the iPad can be a little limited in what it can do with attachments.

Hi, new to the forums and apple tbh.
Moving into a new house and want to set up a sound system, thought apple would be the way to go as I have iPads, iPhones, iPod touch and nanos. I also have a few sets of Bose speakers which I would like to incorporate. What I am wondering is, what else do I need to buy to do this? Do I need seperate devices to attach to each speaker? Do I need a new router? And how would I configure it?
Ideally I would like 4 rooms each with their own speakers that could play simultaneously.

First, please check out the following Apple Support article for details on setting up an AirPort Express Base Station (AX) for iTunes streaming. Note: You will need a separate AX for each set of speakers that you want to stream to. Also, note that you can stream a single audio file to one or more speakers, but you cannot stream separate audio files to different speakers simultaneously.
Second, the Bose speakers you mentioned would need to have an audio input jack, either analog or optical digital to receive the stream from the AX. As you know, Bose makes a number of different speaker/home theatre audio options. If your specific model of speakers do, then it's just a matter to use the appropriate audio cable between the audio port of the AX and the speakers.

Create a new blank document.
open the individual documents one by one.
In their thumbnails area, select the page's icon
copy it to the clipboard
Paste it in the thumbnail area of the new document.
Insert a page break at the document's end.
Repeat the process for every individual documents.

I have an NI5911 high speed digitizer and would like to acquire a video signal from a CCD using it. Does anyone know if this is possible without buying any more hardware please? If it is, how would I go about it?

The only thing I succeeded in finding on the NI site was about using a different high-speed digitizer in tandem with an IMAQ card but I was hoping not to have to buy an IMAQ card as it means I may as well not have got the NI5911 (a while ago) in the first place. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can certainly acquire video signals with the 5911. The only tricky part is that the 5911 does not have any video triggering options. That means that you will have to either find a way to provide your own trigger based on the video signal (that's where the IMAQ board comes into play) or you can just take a lot of data and keep only the data you need once it is in software. For instance, you could take one large record and then use software analysis to determine where the frame sync occurs. Hopefully this was helpful.
