I have a G4 Powerbook with Tiger OS, is there a version of Firefox that I can install and get the benefits of using it.
My computer is a Powerbook G4 is there a version of Firefox Software that will work?
Assuming the battery is not working, I know of no other way to access the data without ripping open the PowerBook. Third-party adaptors are still available and the price is much less than Apple used to charge:

The other option is, as I hinted above, to open up the PowerBook and extract the hard drive. Once out of the powerbook you use a device like this:

It allows you to attach the bare drive from the PB to a USB port on teh MacBook Pro. The drive will appear on the MBPs desktop just as if it were and external drive in an enclosure.

Can anyone help me please.
I have a Personal Video Recorder (Humax HDR-1010S), which supports DLNA, connected to my home network via Wi-Fi.
I want to play music from iTunes and view photos from iPhoto from my MacBook (which is also connected to the home network) via the PVR / TV / Home Cinema sound system. I understand that my MacBook (running OS X Mavericks) doesn't support DLNA server.
Is there any 3rd party software that I can install on my MacBook to provide DLNA server?
Thanks,My recollection is that the iPhoto library has some fairly robust protections to prevent inadvertent or even deliberate changes being made that might have unwanted consequences. I'll take alook at my setup and let you know if I can see anything that might help you. Even if you get Serviio to "see" the iPhoto library, it almost ceratinly won't show the album structure and names. What I did is to export each iPhoto album to a standard folder with the appropriate folder name. These I keep on an external backup disc and Serviio can see these without trouble.

I am building a web-site with intit. Today I found out their SiteBuilder software is not Mac compatable. They suggest downloading FireFox. I am running Mac OS X 10.4.11. Is there an older version of FireFox that I can download in order to build my site?

I have been using firefox for years. I downloaded the latest version and at the conclusion of the down load I was refussed access to the internet. Something about Proxy???? I checked my firewalls and security and they said that mozilla was allowed but everytime I attempt to gain access I am refused. I cant access the internet and I cant download another program to access the internet. I uninstalled Firefox and attempted to reinstall but after uninstalling Firefox I have no means to reinstall because there are no traces of it on my computer and I no longer have access to the internet. What do I do? I cant access my e mails, stored messages, favorites etc etc.
No. After I select "Choose" the dialog box expands to provide only three choices. This is a new bug. I have only seen it in the past week or so, but it is maddening. I have observed that, while the Mozilla Foundation focuses on trivialities like which search engine should be the default, the Firefox application becomes buggier and buggier. Most of my family has switched to Chrome, and I will be following shortly. Firefox used to be a great program. Not any more. Getting assistance with a problem has also become very difficult.

I have FB4 and Flash Pro CS5 installed and get the message "This feature requires Adobe Flash CS5"
Hi,
I have installed both FB4 and Flash CS5 as trial versions. I installed FB4 as a plugin into eclipse Gallileo and then installed CS5. When trying to create a new Flash Project in Eclipse I get the message "This feature requires Adobe Flash CS5 or higher to be installed.", although CS5 is installed.
I tried reinstalling FB4 but it didn't help.
If FB4 is installed as standalone, then its eclipse IDE has no problem creating new Flash Projects.
Any idea why the plugin doesn't detect my Flash Pro CS5 installation?

I have intalled CS4 Design Premium and Flash Builder 4 (the trial version). According to this Adobe
training video they should work together "http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adc-presents/flash-builder-4-and-flash-professional-cs4-workflow /".
However, when i try to create Flash Professional component for use in Flex as specified in the the workflow video to (i.e. copy a .fla to
Flex Project lib directory or drag "custom" Flash Professional component onto state to link to Flash Pro) - I get the "This feature requires Adobe Flash CS5"
error mesage.

I have a friend who had sent me a document made in a more current version and thus I can't open the file. I am hoping to find a newer version without changing the OS that will allow me to view the document. Is that possible?
It's probably easiest to ask your friend to save it in a format which Keynote 4.0.4 will open. It's possible to run Keynote 5 on Mac OS X 10.6.8, but it requires buying an iWork 09 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay.

I'm not sure how long it's been like this, but I just noticed that my songs no longer shuffle when playing from iTunes (running 10.4.0.80). No matter if "shuffle songs" is off or on, they still just play on down the playlist in order. Could this be related to other problems I'm seeing listed that seem associated with the latest update? I also get an error msg when my computer is starting up that I think is associated with this latest update (something about not being able to read a line from "Apple sync helper" (hope I haven't butchered that too much, haven't had a chance to copy the error msg)). Is this something that's likely to be fixed in a later update?
After looking at other people's posts, I think it's official: there is a bug. Itunes support said I should not have lost the drag/drop tool and I haven't on the laptop that is running itunes 10.4 and operating system 10.6.8. I chatted with someboby who lost both his drag/drop and side scroll and what we have in common is a wacom tablet for a mouse. My laptop is a wireless mouse. I reinstalled whatever updated driver that wacom has out there, shut the system down for night, hoping for magic, but alas none to be had. So if I want to change song order, I network the laptop and desktop, share the screen on the laptop, drag and drop to my heart's content and curse Apple for making me work this hard to find the tool that was once at my fingertips. Apple also let me know that if I want to share songs in household that the hundreds on songs that were purchased for .99 need to be repurchased for another .30. Maybe Apple is holding my drag/drop tool captive til I pay up the money or Maybe the next update will fix the problem, I for one give up for now.

How did you create the account ? Unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

If not then you will need to enter your credit card details - you should be able to remove it after entering it. -

You should be aware that the newest version, CC, is only available as a subscription.
CS6 can be purchased at Adobe, or second hand, see below.
Older versions such as CS5 can only be bought second hand, with a licence transfer through Adobe, requiring that the licence has not been used as a basis for an upgrade. -

I am informed by FF that there are updates. When I click on them the window just says it's trying to connect to the server and never does. I am never able to update and I believe FF is now up to 3.6.17.

If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data. -
