i am trying to access iTune store but keep on getting message "cannot access iTune store" i have reset my password several times and it didn’t help. I have a temp working for me and she scanned all our batches upside down is there a way to flip them and save them without her having to rescan every batch. We have tried flipping them and doing a save as, we have also tried to flip them and create a new pdf document but nothing seems to be working
If the file type is PDF then open them in Acrobat and rotate them via Tools - Pages - Rotate (not via the View menu, which is only temporary).
You can also do this in an Action, if you have Acrobat Pro, and process multiple files in a single process. -
I have not been able to send email from my computer for several months. I have called my ISP numerous times and they can't or won't help. Out of the blue something will send that has been in my outbox for days. A new email address worked briefly but now does not. What is happening here??? Can this be fixed and how?

On Lion 10.7.x you need to hold the CMD+r Keys insyead of notting from an Instsall Disc, but try that & step 3 onward...

Powerbook trashed my music folder think i have a ghost in my machine!
this is the second time my aging ti867 has done this to me, im using this machine purely as a music server and have spent a lot of time bringing all my music over from all my other machines. So here's what happens, I bring some of my music over, import into itunes and then delete the folder on my desktop, when I empty trash my computer has put my entire music folder in trash and I accidently delete my entire music collection, it has done this twice to me so far. Im pretty sure now that I haven't accidently binned my music folder and the machine is responsible but how could this be?. I'm thinking that I'll re install tiger and try process again.
thanks for lookingBefore you import, go into preferences and make sure that "Copy songs to iTunes Music Folder when adding to library" is checked. If you don't have that, it adds the songs from where they are, which is the desktop in your case.

I have a problem with my iphone 4 Facetime, that since the new ios 7 system has been installed, I cannot use the FACETime? I don't know where to turn? I have contacted a retailer here in Isreal, and I've contacted the Cell come company and I've contacted the repair shop... each one pushes me off on someone else.
I cannot make any FACETIME calls.... anywhere................ helpHmm, I see from the Apple Support webpage it seems you cannot call them directly from Israel, that's not good.
Okay, so FaceTime stopped working once you upgraded to iOS 7 is that the situation? It doesn't work over either cellular or WiFi networks? I assume you have checked the Settings>FaceTime>FaceTime switch is on and that you have your correct Apple ID in there as well?
What happens when you launch the FaceTime app and attempt to make a FaceTime call, what message(s) do you get? -
Time Machine and a CRY for Help!!!!

After 25 years being a windows user I finally came over to Apple this month. I bought a IMAC 24" intel 2.88(OS X 10.5.3) and thought I might as well get a Time Capsule (500GB). I absolutely love the IMAC and wish I had got one years ago. My problem lies with the Time capsule. My setup is a Ethernet cable from the IMAC to the Time Capsule and then the same from the capsule to my broadband modem.
Followed the instructions for backing up, which it did after much trial and effort. Only backed up 21GB. Checked that there was a file in the capsule folder. Great I thought I will try the time machine. Screen drops and the stars are moving but that's it. I cant click on cancel or press escape. The only way I could get out of this was to do a hard reset.
I looked back at the Time machine preferences and no sign of a last back up. Checked that the file was still there in the capsule folder and it was. Sorry for wittering on but can someone please help.

iroth8While there certainly isn't enough evidence to say for sure, I have to say that I don't think your issue is at all unique to your Time Capsule or your specific configuration. I also just purchased an iMac after using a PC for most of the 25 years or so of home computing (I did have a Mac for a while back in the mid-to-late 80s). I felt like the original thread poster did, I might as well have a backup drive and take advantage of Time Machine. In my case I watched the Apple.com OS 10.5 video and went online and purchased the same G-Drive Q from G-Technology that the Apple Store representative was using. After connecting up the new Ext. Drive using Firewire 800, the popup asked if I wanted to use the drive for backup ... I did want to so I answered yes and sat back and observed my entire Hard Drive being backed up. After several hours, I came back and depressed the Time Machine icon on the Dock and everything worked just like the Video indicated that it would. Unfortunately after 48 Hrs., I came downstairs and noticed my Ext. Drive light was on, but it wasn't making the usual drive sounds it typically had been making every ten minutes or so during the day. I depressed the Time Machine icon and the popup progress indicator said it was connecting to the Server and to Time Machine. This progress bar just kept moving and moving but was actually just "not responding". To make a long story short the only way I could get out of the situation was by learning about a "Force Quit". After doing that procedure, I ultimately had to hold the Power button to shut down the iMac. When I tried to Power back up, all I got was the startup tones and then a white screen. Finely I had to turn off the Ext. Disk Drive and turn it back on again, where upon, everything worked again. I have now gone into the Control Panel and Power Management and unchecked the "Put the External Drive to sleep..." box. We will see over the next few days if that solves the issue or not. In any case my lock up situation was similar enough to your that I thought I would let you know it may not actually have anything to do with your Ext. Drive or its configuration.

You may need to validate the account with Hotmail. When logged in to the Hotmail account on a computer, there are instructions on how to do this.

I want to use my 1TB Seagate Hard drive for time machine and transferring files from Mac to PC.
For about a year I've been using my 1TB external hard drive for only time machine. To be honest, it wasn't until today that I tried to connect my hard drive to a PC and realize it isn't compatible. I read about partitioning the hard drive so that it can work both for time machine and transferring files between pc and mac. I'm not what you would call tech savvy, so I was wondering if I can get some advice on how to do this.

In order to read and write in the external disk on the PC, you have to select "MS-DOS (FAT)" as "Format". If you choose any other option, the PC won't be able to read your external disk. Apart from that, note that you can't use files bigger than 4 GB with FAT. If you want to use the external disk with files bigger than 4 GB, you have to format your new partition in exFAT, and you have to do it on a PC
