I have a HP S-5747 c-b and it will boot up fully but within a minute or so cuts off. Any ideas?
It will come up after turning it on and looks very normal. But then within a minute or so, cuts off.
Be sure that your fans are clean and turn smoothly.

Thanks for your help. I bought a 5 second ring tone. I have tried all the suggestions to convert it but still nothing. I will ask for a refund when I get my receipt email. One thing that strikes me is that this is a common problem. I think they need better instructions or downloads that are what they say they are. Cheers Kev

My iPhone when powered off does not receive SMS texts when powered back on.
I went to Apple they said everything in the phone is fine. I went to AT&T and they did their testing and told me to go to apple.
AT&T and Apple recommended I reset network settings and problem persisted. Then I was recommended to reset all settings and same problem. I was then recommended to restore my phone and set up as new and had the same problem. I received a new SIM card and that did not solve it. With AT&T they put my SIM card in another phone (android phone) shut it off and turned it back on after a while and I received the text. So I thought it was the iPhone that was bad. I ended up getting a replacement and still the same problem. So any ideas? I think it's an iOS 7 problem with iPhone 4.I have this problem too, on an Iphone 4. I'm in the UK running IoS 7.0.4.
My network (Virgin) also told me to reset network settings which didn't work.
My bank, who I talked to because I'd missed there texts, said they'd had this reported by a number of people, and been told Apple it was a fault with Iphone 4 and 7.0.4.
I can point to about 6 or 7 threads talking about this exact problem, with a lot of people clicking 'I have this question too'
Any advice gratefully received, or if anyone has heard any news from Apple about this issue. -
i have purchased itunes match but the cloud will not load on my ipad 4.it works on my iphone 5 & it originally worked on my ipad.the only music that will show up is stuff that i bought from the itunes store.any ideas on how to get this to work?
On the MBP, in iTunes, switch to Song view and enable the iCloud Status column by pulling down View > View options and selecting the option for "iCloud Status." Close the small window. Look for any tracks that have a status of "waiting." If you see several of them disable iTunes Match while holding down the Option key. Quit iTunes, wait a few seconds, then open it again and turn iTM back on. Let it compelete the scan. Wait until all tracks that are "waiting" have a status of either "matched" or "uploaded."
On the iPad, turn off iTunes Match then launch the Music app and let the contents clear out. Power cycle the iPad for good measure, then re-enable the service once all the tracks in iTunes have been processed. -
I have rented two movies on my laptop and they will not completely download..it shows that they are theere but when i try to watch them on my laptop or my ipad it wont open up???? help
Welcome to the Apple community.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals. -
Since upgrading to Yosemite on my iMac: My Mail app refuses to open, Safari won't load, and I can't upload pictures from my iPad...

I have a Mac Pro using OSX 10.7.4. When using apple mail I click on the address icon to obtain email address and nothing happens. I've restarted both the application and the Mac but still won't open address book. Any ideas please.
Assuming you have these accounts set up in Mail, open preferences and under Accounts tab, edit the SMTP outgoing server list. Do you have a .mac address in the list? If so, delete it.
Are you using iCloud?
For the troubled account, select the correct SMTP server for that account in the box and check the box to use only that server with that account. -
my old music liburary is not accessible as the laptop is dead so I cannot sync yto the cloud but all my music is on my ipad. I have I pad match but it wont copy from my ipad. any ideas on how i can resuce my music libruary?

My iTunes keeps crashing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, including recreating the entire database, and it is still doing it. I recently upgraded to 10.5. Any ideas? I am running Windows 7 on a new, decent, laptop. The music is on the laptop's hard drive. There is plenty of hard drive space left.

Is there any way to actually delete messages from my iPhone? I have already synced my iPhone, updated it, and deleted all of my backups but the messages I have "deleted" still appear in the spotlight search.

hi alan i run a business on ebay selling photos and negs. i recently installed yosemite and it locked my entire library on iphoto. when i try to download the app to free it from ishop it tells me there is a fault with the app and my iphoto is frozen. i am basically out of work and finding it very hard to find someone who can help me unlock it.. look at the things being said about this yosemite locking this.....freezing that... be very careful if you need your business for your livelyhood. the actual performance is really good.....better display ...much faster and well presented but is it worth having parts of your compy put out of action i possibly think not. i am new to this community so hopefully someone reading this may be able to advise us both.....paul

How do I revert to original footage in Final Cut Pro X version 10.0.9?
For some reason I have lost some audio in my timeline and would like to start again but cannot get the original footage?
Only the edited version which is no good without the audio?
Please HelpWhat format is your problem clip? Are there wave forms visible in the section without sound?
Right click on the clip in the event broswer and choose Reveal in Finder; open the clip in Quick Time to confirm that there is sound throughout at that stage of your workflow.

I have a brand new mini mac and a new apple TV. Both have been updated and can see my movies in itunes. I can use Netflix and stream music. I have tried to use my old laptop and it streams video fine. But my new computer only see a spinning circle.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this test is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac" is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing. -

One computer iTunes can support multiple Apple IDs. One iPod can also support multiple IDs. Don't do an "erase and sync." Simply add your Apple ID to the computer's iTunes and to the iPod. The only nuisance is app updating, especially if you do the updates from the computer, rather than from the iPod.
