I have a huge Wifi issue on my iPhone 5.

I restored it plenty of times, disconnected from it and reconnected it, and tried various youtube tutorials, but the wifi itself *****. My iPhone 4's wifi is better then the 5. Please can someone help me? I have apple care and was woundering if I should bring it back to Apple. It is just a huge annoyance...

  • IPad WIFI Issue similar to iPhone one that has gone unaddressed

Users have been heavily pushing concern over WIFI disconnecting/invisibility behavior on the iPhone and that has gone without response from Apple for months. One wonders if they are dealing with the same issue on the iPad.

Note the word similar and not identical in the title folks...
iMac 24", MacBook Air, Macbook all connected to a Time Capsule and flakey WIFI happens off and on with my iPhone and my wife's iPhone. You can also see that many other users have that same experience and like the iPad it manifests itself with low bars, failed to find network, failed to connect to network, invalid password messages, etc...also consistent with what people are reporting on the iPhone.

  • Wifi Issue's with iPhone 5

Im having a problem with my wi-fi on my iPhone 5. It says im connected to wi-fi but the little wi-fi logo at the top of my phone doesnt show up. How can I get it to work again? Should I restore my phone or is there something I can do? Thanks for the help.

Thought it was a software issue but after updating all the iphone 6's to the latest 8.1.2 software, problem still exists. Error coming up is "Unable to join network". Only on the IP6/6+'s. Any other model besides the 6/6+'s connects perfectly fine with the identical 8.1.2 software. I'm in the office 10+ hours a day and rely on data/phone in order to conduct business. • Ios 6.1.2 wifi issues

I am using iphone 4s for about 14 months now. i have never faced wifi issues before updating to ios 6.1.2. But now  i am not  staying connected to wifi for long time. I dont know whether i m alone in this world to face such an issue. Please help fix this issue to the earliest.
It's very disappointing to know that apple is ignoring such issues from its customers & even rolling back to back new software versions without even checking it to the fullest. And on top of that the apple customer care people are saying its a hardware problem. I think they are ignoring the fact of software issues with ios 6.1.2. especially with WIFI.
Please reply if anybody face such issues.and possible solution for it.

I've been having the same wifi dropouts on ios 6.1.2. I never have had this issue before, and it is very frustrating. It makes me wish I had never upgraded. I am not having this issue with my other wifi devices (PCs, Macs, Android phones, Roku, Wii, Apple TV), so I know it is not a router issue. Is Apple working on a fix?
One hard lesson that I learned is that I will never rush into any future ios updates again. I have tried all of the fixes that I could find online to no avail :-(
Oh, excuse me. I was just prompted again to rejoin my dropped wifi connection.

  • IPhone 6 Plus Strange Wifi Issue

Picked up on iPhone 6 Plus on friday, love the phone so far. I am having one issue with the wifi download speeds that I've managed to isolate to this device.
I have a 100Mbps connection that I usually get between 70-80Mbps down with a ~6ms ping (checked on my macbook pro, iPad, iPhone 5S and 5C).
Now, when running the Ookla speedtest (or any other speedtest app & in browser) on my new 6+, I get abnormally high ping of around 136ms. Then when the download test begins it shoots up to 20Mbps for a split second, then right back down to around 4Mbps. Where it slowly increases to around 9Mbps.. this is where it gets weird - the download stalls, for about 3-4 seconds and gradually grinds to a halt. Looking at the speed test graph, the lines shoot up high for a sec, then it just 'flatlines' for a few seconds.
This is with every speed test I've checked - it's like the wifi radio loses power for a few seconds and cycles itself off and on. I have reset the network settings already, to no avail.
I've done some looking into this since yesterday and made sure everything is OK on my router side. Low interference, good SNR and few devices connected at once. It seems to be the iPhone, or the iOS 8 software that's doing it.. however my partners 5C on iOS8 does not have this issue.
    Is it faulty?

I have this exact same issue with the iPhone 6 Plus. After numerous calls to AppleCare several resets and restore restores from backup, restore as new, and visits to the Genius Bar at the Apple store, Apple dose not appear to have an answer yet. This is happening on all Wi-Fi networks home, Xfinity, Apple Store, and Starbucks. It does not appear to be related to the Wi-Fi network in use. I have been asked to give it a week and see if it gets better but somehow I do not think this is going to work. The Apple Store has even replace my phone and I still experience the same issues.
    What am I missing?

  • Persistent WiFi Issues

Apple! In the name of all that is HOLY, please fix wifi in Lion. There have been persistent wifi issues since the last Leopard OS update.

One last detail, connectivity through my iPhone's hotspot works completely fine. No idea if that is related / helpful in any way.

  • HT201263 I'm so disgusted! I just realised I will lose the photos of my daughter's birth... And why??? because I pushed a stupid button for a software update???? Apple,..I need a solution. I haven't paid this device to have this kind of issues.

My Iphone is still in the recovery mode and I don't know if there is a way to restart it without losing my photos? I made the last backup months ago...:(((

I'm a little confused. At what point did the phone go into Recovery mode? Did you just leave it alone for awhile after you clicked the update button? I just updated my phone, and after the initial download, the phone restarted itsef a couple of times, installing the update in the process. When you do an update, you need to leave your device alone until it is completely done.
As far as your photos go, sorry, but if you have not backed them up, and you are truely in Recovery mode, then you won't have any way to restore them.
Are they in your Photo Stream in iCloud by any chance?
If not, and you have to do a Recovery, then you won't be able to restore them from a backup.
But if they were so important, why wouldn't you have backed them up?
You cannot blame Apple for this. What if your phone had been stolen, or you had lost it? You would be in the same boat - you would lose your photos.
    So, two things:
Are you sure your phone isn't just completing the update? Have you let it do it's thing for 20 or 30 minutes? If not, leave it alone and see if it is in the same condition in 30 minutes.
If you have, then determine if you have those photos in your Photo Stream. If you do, then they should still be there when you restore your device and sign back onto iCloud.
    Cheers,

  • Freezing issues on the iphone 5 since ios7?

I had absolutely NO issues with the Iphone 5 up until this update! My phone will randomly freeze when im trying to log onto it and when im typing on the keyboard or scrolling a page, and apps will randomly crash now. Anyone else having these issues? I wish they wouldnt release these updates until all the bugs are fixed this is ridiculous!

If you look at the threads and the amount of people that have an issue with wifi, ( Maybe a couple thousand ) then look at how many people have bought iphone 5's ( Maybe Ten million + ), the chances are minimal that you will have an issue, plus ios 6.1 should be out soon. Fyi, i have 2 iphone 5's , 2 iphone 4s's and 2 iphone 4's, of which none have had a wifi issue. That said i dont think you will have an issue.

  • My MacBook Pro will connect to WiFi but will not work in one location but will at others. I have the same issue with my IPhone 4S at the same location.

My MacBook Pro will connect to Wifi at one location (this is a secure location) but will not allow access to the internet.  I will put in the password but will not display page.  Other wifi capable devises do not have this issue but my Mac and my Iphone 4S will not work.  I have tried restarting the router.  All other wifi locations I have been to have not had this issue.  Any suggestions? I am realtively new to Apple products (less than a year) so any advise is greatly appreciated.

The other devices that are working got on with the same password.  It says it is connected.  Just nothing works on the internet.

  • Is anyone having issues syncing the iPhone wifi hot spot to iPad, Mac, Etc..?  I constantly have to turn it off and back on to get them to connect.  I with it was a little more seamless... Thoughts?

Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
Do you have an iPad 3 as well? And is yours not experiencing any issues close to mine?
    Thanks again!

  • Apple says small number of Apple TVs have WiFi issues, opens replacement program

I have an AppleTV 3rd generation with issues of connectivity when I use the Radio. Every 10 or 15 minutes disconnects from showing an error on the screen, I research on the internet and apparently there is a program to replace some devices due a known malfuncion with the WiFi.
I always blamed to my cheap router and the poor internet connection I had in my former country Argentina. Now i moved to Chile and i have a nice Cisco/Linksys router and the issue persists.
Please check the links below about the replacement program:

    http://9to5mac.com/2013/04/15/apple-says-small-number-of-apple-tvs-have-wifi-iss ues-opens-replacement-program/
I would like to know if this program exists and also if my device is under this program.
The serial number of my AppleTV is C0*****RHN.
    <Edited by host>

That program was from over a year ago, it is no longer running. It still required proper troubleshooting to occur. It wouldn't have to do with an internet connection as this an issue with the local/wifi network, a cheap router will impact performance but there are other factors.
Using ethernet will help to see if there's a wifi issue. Get a network report from istumbler, netstumbler or similar, look for signal strength and noise.
If your network looks ok then I would take to Apple for testing, if it is found to be defective then they are usually good about replacement.

  • Wifi issues after upgrading from Maverick to Yosemite. No solutions have worked.

I upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.1 from Mavericks. Having wifi issue where I can't connect to my home network. It connects for 5 seconds than I get "no IP address", and then the connection drops. A free local wifi connection does work. Any ideas until this issue is fixed by Apple? My home router worked fine in Maverick. I tried all the online suggestions but nothing has worked. Have not downgraded yet to Maverick but thinking about it.

Κανε backup στο iTunes και μετά κάνε restore as new. Δηλαδή Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Content and Settings. Οταν τελειώσει θα έχουν σβηστεί όλα. Μην κανεις restore from backup. Δοκίμασε πρώτα νε δεις αν δουλεύει το wi-fi. Αν δεν δουλεύει πας στο service. Αν δουλεύει κάνε restore from backup.
